The Worst Job Advertisement I Have Seen In Some Time, AE2S Construction

I have been looking at the on-line job advertisement sites like North Dakota Job Services and Indeed.com, and I came across one of the worst job advertisements that I have seen in some time, for a Project Coordinator at AE2S Construction:

Due to our continued growth, AE2S Construction is currently seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to work out of our Watford City Shop location.  The ideal candidate is organized with an eye for detail, is a strong communicator, and excels in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

  • Assemble project documents, shop drawings, manuals, etc., and other project and post-construction submittals, for distribution to clients and vendors
  • Assemble and verify construction contract change order information for approval by Project Manager
  • Provide assistance with contract administration for various projects
  • Participate in project status meetings
  • Enter project data, track the accounting and billing of materials, and maintain ProContractor database
  • Maintain calendars, coordinate meetings, and arrange travel with Travel Coordinator for ACL staff
  • Provide project coordination and support to ACL Construction Manager, Project Managers, Estimators, and all other employees to include duties such as filing, copying, scanning, answering phones, mailing documents, preparing conference room and meeting materials, and distributing mail
  • Perform weekly processing tasks, in conjunction with the AE2S Construction Accounting team, including payroll, timesheets, equipment usage processing, new hire paperwork, accounts payable, credit card processing, and initial accounts receivable follow up
  • Create payment requests and prepare lien waivers
  • Maintain WC vehicles and equipment registrations and other related licensing and maintenance
  • Order and manage inventory of office supplies
  • Work directly with the AE2S Construction Accounting team on all matters related to WC accounting, as well as perform additional accounting activities as requested

This is fucking ridiculous.  If you cut that list in half, that would still be more work than one person should be assigned.  What the Fuck is wrong with AE2S Construction?  Who wrote this?

If you count down to bullet points #7 and #8, just those duties alone are what one administrative assistant should be assigned.  I am an engineer, and I have worked as an estimator, project coordinator, superintendent, and project manager, and whoever wrote this job advertisement is a Fucking Asshole, or perhaps the entire company management are Assholes.

Once the job advertisement gets into ordering office supplies, filing, answering phones, copying, scanning, arranging travel, preparing conference room and meeting materials, it appears that they are most likely seeking a woman with secretarial skills, and getting her to do accounting, payroll, human resources, billing, and project coordination too.  This is wrong.

I hope that any woman who reads this understands what this is all about, she would be expected to perform accounting, payroll, human resources, and project coordination work, and not be paid at the same level as an accountant, human resources person, or project manager.

If there is any woman or person who could perform all of these duties, please start your own business.  You are a very talented, intelligent, and skilled person.  Do not let other people take advantage of you by dumping their work on you because they are lazy pieces of shit.

Watford City Police Chief Arthur Walgren Resigns, February 2017

I was shocked and disappointed to read the February 6, 2017 Williston Herald newspaper article titled “Watford City police chief resigns”.  I thought that the Watford City Police Department was well run, unified, and all on the same page.  What happened, what was this about?

In January 2017, Police Chief Walgren logged into Assistant Police Chief Jesse Wellen’s e-mail account, and sent an internal e-mail to the entire police department saying that he was coming out of the closet as a homosexual.  It was meant as a prank.

No police officers complained, but city officials found out about the e-mail as Assistant Police Chief Jesse Wellen tried to find out who the culprit was.  The “city officials” once they found out about the e-mail, decided that it was “inappropriate” and “wasn’t going to be tolerated”, and to suspend the Police Chief without pay.

I don’t even know where to begin.  On a scale of 1 to 10 of what police officers have to deal with every day, this is about a “2”.  The police officers know, that an e-mail like this is most likely a prank, and if it was true, so what, big deal.

Most police officers, corrections officers, paramedics, firefighters, and military service members that make a career as a first responder have a sense of what is a big deal and what is not a big deal.  Someone getting shot, stabbed, burned, losing a limb, that is a big deal.  A stupid prank, not a big deal.  If a first responder is going to get upset about every small thing, they are going to be upset all day, every day, and probably have a short career.  But the newspaper article said that no police officers complained.  Good.

I wish that the “city officials” in Watford City would have looked at the “big picture”.  Is the crime under control in Watford City?  Are there complaints against the police department by citizens?  Are there internal complaints within the police department?  Are they unable to hire and retain police officers?

I had to deal with Watford City police officers about three times in 2015, and about six times in 2016.  I would say that crime was very under control in Watford City, I didn’t have any complaints against the officers, I never detected any dissent among the officers, and all the officers appeared to get along.  This is probably why the Police Chief felt it was O.K. to play this joke within his department, everything was going O.K., and everyone was getting along.

I believe that the Watford City Police Department was well run.  I met Police Chief Walgren once in 2016, he was very mild-mannered, alert to what was going on, intelligent, and to the point.  I don’t know what the “city officials” in Watford City were thinking, I don’t think they were thinking.

It would have been a good idea for the “city officials” to offer the counsel, “Please refrain from logging into other people’s e-mail accounts, it could create problems, you can see that can’t you?  Pranks of this sort could result in a formal complaint, and some type of legal action.  Please refrain from pranks like this.”  This counsel could have been given verbally.  This would have been appropriate for a city employee on their first offense, especially since a good job was being done overall.

I bet everyone in Watford City will begin to wish that a big deal hadn’t been made about this.  I know I wish it hadn’t.

Advice To Normal Black People On Moving To Dickinson, North Dakota, January 2017

I am writing this blog post in response to a black reader’s comments about considering moving to Dickinson, North Dakota from the South.  This advice is for normal Black People who are considering moving to Dickinson, North Dakota.  I have separate advice for the Black Men that are needed in Dickinson to impregnate as many White Women as possible, in order to change things in Dickinson, which I have written about several times in recent previous blog posts.

I am writing this blog post on December 31, 2016.  In this month of December, this has been the worst weather that I have seen in Dickinson in the four years that I have lived here.  On one night this December, the temperature got down to -27 degrees Fahrenheit.  In the past two weeks, there have been blizzard conditions several times, with very high winds, snow blowing sideways with zero visibility, roads and highways being blocked with snow, and electric power failures.

It would have been very, very dangerous for any newcomer to have arrived in Dickinson this December, and it may still be this dangerous in January and February.  What do I mean by dangerous?  I have a very, very good four wheel drive vehicle with new heavy tread tires, and I have nearly gotten stuck very bad several times recently, in the middle of a four lane highway.  Even though the highways are plowed, the deep snow drift mounds came right back.

Last night driving home on a four lane 55 mph highway, I came up to two stopped vehicles in the middle of the road.  They were both local people.  A Ford Taurus was stuck in the middle of the road.  I got my tow strap out, and my neighbor who had stopped, used his truck, which was heavier than mine, to pull the Ford Taurus back down the road.  It was 15 degrees Fahrenheit, with 35 mph wind, windchill made it like -5 degrees.  We all knew where we were.  The Ford Taurus went back the other way.  My neighbor who is a very experienced truck driver, equipment operator, and mechanic, continued north ahead of me and got stuck.  I was very surprised that he got himself unstuck.  Then I nearly got stuck, and barely made it.

I had a half of tank of gas, thermal underwear on, heavy winter jacket, heavy sleeping bag, tow strap, knew exactly where I was, where the nearest houses were, a telephone, and knew who I could call, what tow company I could call, and how long it would take for them to get there.  It would have been very dangerous for a non-local person to be in this same situation.  A non-local person could have died of hypothermia by walking in the wrong direction to get help, not knowing where they were.

I do not recommend to any person from the South, to try to move to Dickinson, North Dakota in December, January, or February, because it would be too difficult, and too dangerous.  If you tried to fly in, there were many days this December that a plane would not have been able to land or take off.  You would have likely been stuck in Denver or Minneapolis for days, trying to get here to Dickinson by airplane.

I recommend not trying to relocate to Dickinson until late March at the earliest, April would be even better.  Now, would be a good time to start looking at the internet websites “North Dakota Job Service”, Indeed.com, and Careerbuilder.com for job advertisements.  Look at these three websites at least twice a week, so that you can get an understanding of how frequently jobs are posted, how long they are posted, and how soon they appear to be filled.

If you look at the three job advertisement websites in January and February, you will see a few job advertisements for floor hands on drill rigs, work over rig hands, wireline operator, frac operator, pumper, crane operator, roustabout, tank battery installer, swamper.  If you don’t already know what each of these jobs are, you need to look them up, because there is a lot to know about each of these oil field jobs.

The most difficult oil field physical jobs are floor hands and work over rig hands, and you will absolutely not be able to do these jobs unless you have great physical endurance and no physical defect.  You will not likely even be considered for these two jobs unless you are under 30 years old, unless you are experienced, then you could be up to 35 years old.  Slightly less physically demanding are frac operator, roustabout, tank battery installer, and swamper.  If you are in good physical shape, you would be considered if you are under 40 years old.

If you are older, and have oil field experience, you would hope to get a pumper job or crane operator job, because they are not constantly physically demanding.  Only a very level-headed, intelligent, fast learner, alert, physically in shape person, with a commercial drivers license will be considered for wireline operator.

The jobs listed above are the commonly advertised oil field jobs that do not normally require any formal education.  You might also see a job advertisement for instrumentation and controls, health & safety, or engineer, which require both education and experience.

All of the oil field jobs that I have listed above pay between $16 to $30 per hour in the Dickinson area.  If you ever heard about people making a lot of money in the oil field, it was because they worked a tremendous amount of overtime hours every week.  Seven, twelve hour days, every week, for months at a time, was not uncommon during the Oil Boom.  It was not optional.  If you didn’t want to work twelve hours a day, every day, for weeks, then your employer would seek to replace you.

But the Oil Boom is over in North Dakota, for now.  I wrote that you needed to look at the internet job websites at least twice a week in January and February so that you could get an idea how often the oil field jobs are advertised, how long they are advertised, and how soon they appear to be filled.  It is my impression lately, that there are some oil field jobs, but not many.  I believe that the competition for the oil field jobs that are advertised right now is moderate, because so many oil field workers have moved away.  I believe that there are some experienced applicants living here locally for every oil field job that is advertised, making it a little difficult for a person with no prior experience in that position.

Before you try to move to Dickinson, I would contact the employers that are placing job advertisements to see what they have to say, both by e-mail, and by telephone.  Are they positive, and encouraging to you, or are they mean, and assholes?  I would not, I repeat, I would not move to Dickinson at this time, meaning Spring, if I could not get an offer of employment from at least two or three employers.  There is not very much to offer in Dickinson at this time, unless you have a job here that pays quite a bit more than what you are currently making where you are now.

If you can get several offers of employment, that offer the rate of pay you want, the hours you want, at a job that you can physically do, it might be worth it to move to Dickinson if the pay will be quite a bit more than what you can make where you are now.  But you need to talk to the employers first, and get several offers, because people lie and will trick you.  Don’t drive all the way to Dickinson because one person tricked you.

There are about at least 500 newly completed, never lived-in apartments in Dickinson that were built for the Oil Boom, then the Oil Boom went away by the end of 2015.  Real estate agents and leasing agents have some good deals on housing right now in Dickinson, but you will have to check many places to make sure you are getting the best housing deal.

I still recommend to anyone considering moving to Dickinson, that the husband or primary income earner come to Dickinson by themselves. Stay in an inexpensive motel with a weekly rate or get a monthly rate.  (Avoid the least expensive motel in Dickinson).  Try out your new job for a month or two.  It is O.K. to let your employer know that you are searching for a home for your family that is close to schools, or that your family is staying behind until school gets out for the summer.  Don’t get into a year lease before you know if your job is going to work out.  Don’t move your family here until you know that your job is going to work out.  Try to save as much money as you can for the first two months of your new job.

That is enough for this blog post on advice to normal black people moving to Dickinson.  I urge caution and wariness, and to look into everything thoroughly.  Read more of my blog posts.  I don’t want anyone to feel like nobody told them what it was going to be like here.

Why So Much Complaining About Dickinson? Why So Much Complaining About Women In Dickinson?

In my previous blog post, I wrote that I wanted to get out of Dickinson for a day or two, and I drove to the Prairie Knights Casino south of Mandan.  I was shocked and disappointed.  Is this the best that North Dakota has to offer?  This place was much worse than Dickinson, and I was trying to escape how bad things are in Dickinson.

There are many readers that don’t understand what I am complaining about.  Dickinson sucks, compared to what?  Women in Dickinson are horrible, compared to what?  I can answer this.

When I was living in a different state about ten years ago, I met a lady who was very wealthy.  It was not difficult to meet people who were very successful, very educated, very famous, or very wealthy because people in the town socialized with each other and were very civil, social, healthy, active, adventuresome, outgoing, and fun loving.  There was very little crime, discontent, or violence.

This woman that I met, she and her husband had had a company with 25,000 employees in the United States and different countries.  There was a book written about her husband because of his influence, innovation, and success.  This woman has many famous friends and associates whose names you would recognize.  But she also liked to spend time with me.  I have been friends with her for about ten years now.

She would invite me to stay with her at one of her homes in a resort town.  In this resort town, her house was in a private gated community where the least expensive house was $700,000.  These were all vacation homes owned by famous celebrities, politicians, and very wealthy people.  The buy-in to be a member of the country club was about $100,000.

Her neighbors and friends were mostly nice to me.  Her sons were nice and pleasant to me, they liked me, one of her sons had a degree in engineering like me, and was valedictorian when he graduated from high school like me.  Her daughter was also valedictorian when she graduated from high school, and she had graduated from law school.  I would play with her daughter until she would become irritated, which her mother and brothers enjoyed, until her daughter would complain to her mother to make me stop.  At which time the mother would announce, “Now I had planned on us all going over to the club for dinner, but we’re not going unless you quit fighting, and you can’t fight during dinner.”  Then we would all shut up and behave.

At the private club on the golf course, where members of the public were not allowed, they weren’t even allowed in the community, we would drive up, and the valet would take the vehicle.  The staff would greet the family, and we would be escorted to the best table on the veranda. The sun would be setting over the mountains behind the landscaped and meticulously maintained grounds.  The staff would come and light the outdoor gas heaters so that the women would not be chilly.  The men were all required to wear blazers, dinner jackets, or suit jackets so they were not as likely to become cold as the women.

The women would all order wine, but I would not, in order to not become a jerk.  They would all insist that I have wine, but I wouldn’t.  I would always order the fillet mignon.  I had had a navy blazer or two which were good enough, but just for something fun to do, the wealthy lady that liked me gave me several Armani suits, and had me go to her tailor to have them fitted.  This was probably as much for her sake, her daughter’s sake, and her friends sake, so that I looked better.

I would go and visit this wealthy lady at other places where she had a home, would go out with her to very exclusive resorts, and be introduced to wealthy women that she thought would like me.

To answer one of the questions that I said that I was going to answer, no these women weren’t like the women in Dickinson.  Some were doctors, some were lawyers, some were famous, some were divorced from famous people.  They had traveled around the world before they were even adults.  They had several homes, sometimes yachts, sometimes planes or jets.  These women were generally polite, friendly, and civil toward me.  So no, I don’t like it when trashy women bartenders and trashy women waitresses in Dickinson can’t even be polite, they are really wretched, and I haven’t been able to explain it to the reader until now.

Right now, I don’t want to go on and on about going to people’s multi-million dollar homes high in the hills above cities, with their private swimming pools, guest houses, outdoor kitchens, new Ferraris, Jaguars, and Mercedes in every garage bay, private art collections, rare book collections.  The owners being friendly, social, outgoing, communicative, educated, intelligent people, and entertaining hosts.  Dickinson is very poor, dirty, backwards, trashy, low class, ignorant, uneducated, and ugly in comparison.  This answers the question Dickinson sucks compared to what?

The very wealthy lady that liked me, was born and grew up in a town like Dickinson.  Once a week, on a Saturday night, her father would halfway fill a metal wash tub with hot water.  She would bathe in this tub first, then her stepmother would bathe in this tub second, then her father would bathe in this same water last.  They had an outhouse, no indoor toilet.  When she was about ten, she had to kill a rattlesnake that had gotten into the outhouse when she went to use it.

She left home when she was sixteen to live as a boarder with a family in town.  An older girlfriend went to a beauticians school in Denver, and got her to do the same thing.  They lived together, and worked together.  At night they would both go to the most exclusive resort hotel in town.  She and her girlfriend were welcome there because they were friendly and polite with the male gentlemen.

This was a very expensive, exclusive resort hotel.  Gentlemen would like the company and entertainment of nice young ladies.  As long as she and her girlfriend were polite, civil, pleasant, sociable, agreeable, and didn’t cause problems, they were welcome.  She was not the most beautiful girl, or the most intelligent, but she sure as hell knew that she had better get along and have a good attitude if she was ever going to make it out.

Because she was so agreeable and reasonable, someone introduced her to a nice young man, a salesman.  Conversely, since this salesman was a nice young man, he was introduced to this young lady.  This young salesman was very intelligent, knowledgeable, perceptive, well behaved, and well mannered.  His father owned the small company that he worked for.

These two became married, and stuck together, through the closing of the family business, a new career, a relocation to a different state, another new career, job disputes, formation of a new company, and eventually great wealth and success.  Their children were young when the new company was formed.  They have only just a few memories of there ever being a shortage of money when they were young.  Each of the three children were able to focus on school and they each graduated first in their high school class.  Each of the three children went to very expensive good universities, where they met their wives, and husband.

Everyone only knew this lady as the wealthy widow of a very famous successful business man.  Everyone probably just assumed that she had been a young debutante from a wealthy family, and that she was a trophy wife.  She was content to let everyone believe that.

The reason that she liked me, besides me being handsome and funny, was because I was partly rough and partly not rough.  I would try to be nice and polite, especially in public, which was required.  But she was like me, just no one knew.

I Want To Be The Dead Chicken Around Your Neck

In my previous two blog posts I wrote about the Miss North Dakota USA pageant.  I am so angry and disgusted with the Miss North Dakota USA pageant, that it would be fine with me if Future Productions and Miss USA never came back to North Dakota.  There are some young women and their families that would disagree with me.  They think that they can compete and win, get the publicity, get a scholarship.  Sometimes, you need to withdraw, not participate, not cooperate, oppose, speak out against, and fight some things in order to get them changed, even if it costs you.

Most of the local people in western North Dakota are not going to like what I write.  Though the local people who read my blog may agree with a blog post, or two, or three, if they read more, they will eventually come across more and more things that they don’t like.  They will find things that hit too close to home.

I don’t want to be like the local Chambers of Commerce, that attempt to put everything about western North Dakota in a good light.  I don’t want to be like the Dickinson Press newspaper, only able to report hard facts, and not entirely able to discuss negative things for fear of losing readers, subscribers, advertising, and individual reporters fearing losing their job.

I don’t want to write only things that the people I like will enjoy and agree with.  I don’t want to not write what will make the people I like angry and offended, wanting me to shut up.

I want to be the dead chicken around your neck.  I want to bring up, remind, and keep reminding everyone what happened and is happening in Dickinson, Watford City, and western North Dakota.

(Also, I want what the frog wants, in the Brothers Grimm tale “The Frog King”.)

List Of Attractive Women In Dickinson, North Dakota

Recently I have written three blog posts about Miss North Dakota USA, making comments, recommendations, speculations, and criticisms.  I thought that maybe I should shut up about the pageant, not because my comments are stupid, but because I complain so much about the scarcity of attractive women in Dickinson.  One of the few things that may help inspire women in North Dakota to care about their appearance, bearing, and demeanor is the Miss North Dakota USA pageant.  If anything, I should have nothing but praise for the Miss North Dakota USA pageant.

In writing the three recent blog posts about Miss North Dakota USA, I thought about the contestants, their work, the competition, how they would be judged, what the judges would be looking for, the goal of the organization.  I searched for, and read the twelve page Miss USA Pageant Contract, which gave me a tremendous amount of insight into what the organization was looking for.

The Miss USA pageant was looking for a woman who would always be a positive role model for other women, would make people think highly of the competition and the organization, and would not damage the reputation of the competition and the organization.  The end goal, it appears, is to effectively promote women and women’s interests.

In addition to me writing comments about the Miss North Dakota USA pageant which are possibly not completely helpful, I very often write about the scarcity of attractive women in Dickinson.  In order to be fair and truthful, I want to acknowledge that there are some attractive women in Dickinson.  Below I have written a list, in alphabetical order, of women in Dickinson who meet the criteria of attractiveness, civility, respectability, demeanor, bearing, and dress:

Mrs. Judy Anderson, Dickinson (the accountant)

Miss Haley Anderson, Dickinson

Mrs. Kjersti Armstrong, Dickinson

Mrs. Kathryn Helgaas Burgum, Bismarck

Mrs. Bethany Devlin, Watford City

Miss Mariah Ficek, Dickinson

Mrs. Kathy Fisher, Dickinson

Miss Codi Miller, Amidon

Miss Kit Miller, Amidon

Miss Molly Miller, Dickinson

Mrs. Bernice Mueller, Dickinson

Mrs. Janilyn Murtha, Dickinson

Miss Tracy Nash, Dickinson

Miss Kayla Paluck, Dickinson

Mrs. Kamal Patel, Dickinson

Mrs. Kristi Schwartz, Dickinson

Miss Ali Sorenson, Dickinson

Mrs. Jessie Veeder, Watford City

Mrs. Lindsey Ybarra, Watford City

Miss Kira Zastoupil, Dickinson

No, you can’t be removed from my list.  Keep up the good work.

I may be able to add a few more women to my list in the future.  The attractive women in Dunn County hide 95% of the time.  There I go again, they aren’t “hiding”, they are just staying at home.

Update 11/25/2016:  Many of the women on the list above remind me of the IDF women of Israel.  I recommend that the women on the above list, and the readers, go look at IDFwomenofisrael on Facebook.

After The Election, People Saying That The United States Is Divided

I watched the presidential election coverage on Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC on Tuesday evening all the way through to Wednesday morning.  Immediately after Donald Trump was declared the winner by these news stations at approximately 1:30 a.m. North Dakota time, many television journalists began saying that the United States is now deeply divided.  This was stupid and irritating to me for several reasons.

The television news journalists who immediately began making statements that the United States is now deeply divided, were acting as if they knew what the people in the United States were thinking, which was not the case because these journalists had no idea that Donald Trump could win the presidency.  The fact that Donald Trump did win the presidency, shows that there was a consensus of opinion, that he should be the president.  People were in agreement on this, not in disagreement, or he would not have won the election.

No matter what people in the United States “want”, the election results show that most of the people in the United States do “believe” certain things:

  • The standard of living of people in the United States has been decreasing since the 1970s.  Possible causes are loss of manufacturing jobs due to lower production costs overseas, unfair trade practices, U.S. corporations not being able to bring money back into the U.S. without huge taxes, high tax rates for U.S. corporations, tremendous spending on wars and aid to foreign countries.  Whatever the reasons, something needs to be done.
  • The United States has a border, and the United States has immigration laws.  The border can not be open, and the immigration laws need to be enforced.
  • Everyone would like to have access to good health care.  With Obamacare, it was beginning to show that the health care was not going to be good, accessible, or affordable.  To some, it would appear that the Federal Government is not efficient at running anything, and that it can not be the provider of health care.  Whatever the reasons, something needs to be done.
  • Though there is a difference of opinion on whether the U.S. should be involved in foreign wars, there appears to be a consensus that if the U.S. is involved, there should not be half-measures, wasted money, wasted lives, uncertain objectives, and uncertain commitment.  Even if we will always have dissenters in the U.S., we probably all recognize that it is better to have a strong leader that will not waiver in his commitment once a decision has been made.
  • Most U.S. voters have lived through a previous Clinton administration, a Bush administration, and an Obama administration.  Many people recognize that the same things appear to be happening again and again.  The Veterans Administration does not help Veterans enough.  The Transportation Security Administration continues to have a 95% failure rate at threat detection.  Elected representatives continue to be involved in scandals that show they believe that they are above the law, and that they gained political office in order to unethically make money.  Voters have seen and recognized these things, and are looking for candidates that are not career politicians, and candidates that appear to want to end government inefficiencies, incompetencies, and corruption.

With the election of Donald Trump as president, it shows that people in the United Sates are in agreement mostly.  They are not divided.

Donald Trump Winning The Election

I am happy that Donald Trump won the presidential election.  I did not think that this was going to happen.  I thought that in most states, the liberal voters in the large cities would greatly outnumber the conservative voters in the rural areas.  This is what happened in 2008 and 2012.

I still have a map of the United States from the 2012 presidential election that shows what counties voted Republican and what counties voted Democrat.  In Colorado, Pennsylvania, Oregon, and Washington, the 2012 election results map showed that the rural areas voted Republican, and the cities like Denver, Philadelphia, Portland, and Seattle voted Democrat.  Overall, the vast majority of the land area in the United States showed up as red in color, meaning Republican.  However, the very large cities in most states showed up as blue in color, Democrat.  The tremendous amounts of people in the large cities caused many states to have a Democrat majority even though the vast amount of land area in these states showed red, Republican.

I do not like that the city rats determine how the rest of the United States is governed.  In the cities, they like their crack, meth, heroin, drug dealers, drive-by shootings, gangs, car jackings, cop shootings, riots, lesbians, gays, transgenders, HIV AIDS, public transportation, public housing, welfare, welfare moms, crack babies, and Obamacare.

In the rural areas, people like to have a job, have a house, have a truck, have a wife and kids, pay their bills, peace and quiet, be left alone, and leave others alone.  The people in the rural areas don’t want the same things as the people in the big cities.

Fortunately, there were enough people, including some Blacks and some Hispanics, that decided that they would rather return to a more conservative way of life, and that the liberal way of living was not what they wanted.

Refugees Coming To Western North Dakota Whether You Wanted Them Or Not

Sometimes, because of my anger about how I and other out of state workers were treated in western North Dakota, I have thought about schemes to get even with North Dakotans.  All I had to do was point out to Democrats and Liberals in Minneapolis, New York City, and Washington D.C., that a tremendous amount of new housing just got completed in Williston, Watford City, and Dickinson, and that 60% of this new housing was sitting vacant.  What a good place to bring thousands of Syrian refugees, don’t you think?  There are thousands of job openings in western North Dakota, right?  That’s what the Chambers of Commerce and North Dakota Job Services keep saying all the time.

I know how loving, kind, and welcoming the North Dakotans were to me and the other out of state workers, so I know that they would love to have thousands of Muslims from the Middle East moving in.  Thousands of hard core militant Muslim refugees straight from the Middle East brought to your neighborhoods and the companies where you work.

I didn’t contact anyone about Syrian refugees and the tremendous amount of new unoccupied housing in Williston, Watford City, and Dickinson, because I knew that some Liberal organization probably would think that it was a good place to send Syrian refugees.  Can you imagine what a disaster it would be?  The hostile, hateful, mean, scowling Catholics having to cohabitate with thousands of hostile, hateful, stubborn, militant Muslims that have no intention of assimilating?

Too late!  Somebody else thought of it!  It is going to happen!  A few weeks ago when I was half-way paying attention, I heard that Lutheran Social Services in Minnesota was trying to bring in thousands of Syrian refugees.  Tonight, I was looking at the internet website Indeed.com, and I saw a job advertisement for “Relocation Consultant” in Watford City.  At first, the job advertisement tries to say that the “Relocation Consultant” will be helping corporate employees relocate to Watford City.  But when the job advertisement started talking about having to drive the “corporate employee” around in your car and help them get an apartment, open a bank account, and get a social security card, I knew that they are talking about refugees.  Any non-developmentally disabled working adult in the United States can obtain an apartment, open a bank account, and they sure as hell already have a social security card.

Growth In Florida, Texas, Arizona, And Exodus In Western North Dakota

I grew up in Florida, and lived there until I was 32.  My first memories of towns like my small hometown, Orlando, and Tampa, before I was eight years old, by the time I graduated from high school, all these towns had doubled in population.  By the time that I left Florida when I was 32, the populations of these towns had doubled again.

Florida was not a perfect place.  It was hot and often nearly 100% humidity.  The mosquitos were very bad.  Traffic became very bad.  People’s income was lower than income in northeastern states.  But people kept moving there.  It was possible for people of all education levels, skill sets, and background to find employment and housing.  The continual migration of people to Florida made the economy grow:  new schools, new hospitals, new roads, new housing developments, new shopping malls.  Development kept pushing out into the farm land and the swamps.

Everything that I just wrote above about Florida, happened in Texas and Arizona.  Life was not perfect in Texas and Arizona, it was hot, sometimes 118 degrees Fahrenheit during the day for weeks at a time.  There was a lot of dry desert.  But people kept moving to Texas and Arizona.  People of all education levels, skill sets, and background could find employment and housing.  The continual migration of people into Texas and Arizona made their economies grow: new schools, new hospitals, new businesses, new roads, new shopping malls, new housing developments.  The development just kept pushing out into the desert.

About 100,000 workers moved to North Dakota during this past oil boom. To Williston, Minot, Watford City, Killdeer, and Dickinson.  Life was not perfect in North Dakota, it got very cold, and there was not a lot of things to do.  But 80% to 90% of these workers didn’t plan on staying in North Dakota because the price of housing was just too high.  The price of housing increased by 400% within about three years of the beginning of the oil boom.  The workers could barely afford the cost of housing working at a high paying oil field job and working a lot of overtime.  How could they afford to stay in North Dakota with an oil field slow down?  They couldn’t.

You can drive around Dickinson and Watford City and look at the newly completed apartment communities.  Many of these new apartment communities are at 40% occupancy, even at recently greatly reduced rents.  Most of the oil field workers left North Dakota.

Florida, Texas, and Arizona could have killed their growth too if they would have raised housing prices 400%.  All of the retail merchants in western North Dakota: tire stores, hardware stores, lumber yards, clothing stores, grocery stores, furniture stores, appliance stores, car dealers, motorcycle dealers, and all of the service businesses: barbers, beauticians, mechanics, insurance agents, attorneys, chiropractors, printers, and all of the restaurants have the realtors, property managers, property investors, and property developers to blame for gouging the workers so bad that 80% to 90% of them left North Dakota, they couldn’t afford to stay here.

The enormous greed of the realtors, property managers, property investors, and property developers was like “Killing The Goose That Laid The Golden Eggs.”  The goose laid one golden egg per day, but the owner of the goose was so greedy, he cut the goose open to try to get all the gold right away, but this killed the goose, and there were no more golden eggs.

The Rumor, “Everyone Was Making $100,000 Per Year In North Dakota”

In 2011, 2012, and 2013, I read newspaper articles, magazine articles, heard it on the radio, and heard it on television news, that workers from all over the United States were moving to North Dakota and were making  $100,000 per year.  Getting rich.  Making so much money, that they didn’t know what to do with it.

I have lived in western North Dakota for a little over four years now, met many local people and workers from out of state.  I have only ever met three people who came close to making $100,000 per year in the oil field.  One of them was a drill rig boss, one was a wireline operator, and one of them was a Union electrician.

The wireline operator told me, that a few months, with both working a tremendous amount of  overtime hours and bonus pay, he made $15,000 in a month.  But in several years of working as a wireline operator, he made $70,000 to $80,000 per year.

About one person in a thousand who came to North Dakota could be a wireline operator.  You had to have a commercial drivers license to drive a very large tractor truck that contained about $150,000 in special equipment.  You had to be the farthest thing from an idiot or dumb ass, in order to be able to operate and understand the equipment.  You had to be able to stay in one spot and work for maybe 24 hours straight or more, being filthy dirty, tired, and cold.  And when you were filthy, tired, and cold, you had to load, rig, and detonate explosives.  Most people are not capable of doing this job.

The Union electrician that I knew, he and his co-workers would sometimes work seven days a week, ten hours a day, for months at a time.  At $40 per hour, that’s $3,400 per week, about $14,000 per month.  After working about four months like this, a project would be over.  Not all projects were like this.  Some projects were fewer hours per week, and only a month or two in duration.  Neither my friend or his co-workers were willing or able to work ten hours per day, every day of the year.  The best year that my Union electrician friend had was $90,000.

About one worker in a thousand who came to North Dakota was a Union journeyman electrician.  About one worker in a thousand who came to North Dakota could be a wireline operator.  These two highest paid oil field workers that I ever met, almost made $100,000 per year.  So why was there this popular widespread rumor going around the world that all of the people who came to work in North Dakota were making $100,000 per year?

One reason why there was this rumor, was because the reporters and journalists from Los Angeles and New York would get sent to Williston for three days to do a story about the oil boom, they would go to a bar and start talking to everyone, ask people how much money they were making, ask them to prove it.  There were many people that could show a one week pay check for over $2,000, including me. Many people worked seven, twelve hour days in a row, I did.  But I didn’t do this every week.  Most people aren’t going to be boasting in a bar in Williston about making $600 a week, and run and get their pay check to show a reporter.  The reporters who got sent to Williston from the west coast and the east coast for three days to cover the oil boom here, seldom if ever saw how things really were in western North Dakota.

I could write several pages about all of the truck drivers that I met in western North Dakota that were broke because they had not been paid for the work that they had done.  (I will write about it in a future post.)  I could write several more pages about all of the people that I met in western North Dakota that were broke and living in their cars.  Why was there this rumor going around the United States that all of the workers who came to North Dakota were making $100,000 per year?

Here is what I think about the reporters and journalists who came to North Dakota.  They might not have wanted to be in North Dakota at all, and would have preferred to have been back home in Los Angeles or New York where they were comfortable, and it is civilized.  After getting off one of the fifty passenger jets that land in Dickinson and Williston, they were probably ready to do some reporting at the nearest bar.  In a bar, a new school, a new prison, you don’t trust the people that run up to you and start talking to you.  But the people who came up to the reporters and started giving them the story about how things were, were the people the reporters got their information from, (though these people that came up to the reporters running their mouth might have arrived in Williston a week before.)

The next day, it was probably a big relief for the reporters and journalists to find that the Chamber of Commerce was so willing to give them all kinds of information about the oil boom, and was so considerate to hook the reporter up with a local real estate developer who very graciously drove them around in his Chevy Suburban.  Can you imagine how difficult it would have been for a reporter or journalist to rent a car, drive around in the snow in an unfamiliar area, and possibly make a wrong turn into one of those truck stops or Walt-Mart with all of those wretched looking people?  Who were those wretched looking people?  They looked like they were living in their cars or something.  It was a lot easier to be driven around by some business person in their Suburban and be taken to meet their business associates who worked in real estate and development, who provided them with more than enough information to write their story over lunch at a nice restaurant.

It was in the interest of the real estate agents, property investors, real estate developers, and business owners, to get the story out, that everyone who came to work in North Dakota was making $100,000 per year.  There was already a shortage of housing, more people relocating here would mean being able to raise housing prices and rents even more.  An over abundance and surplus of workers would mean that the wage rates would go down, and business owners would make more money if they could pay lower wages.  Newspapers, magazines, radio, and television helped lure and trick people into relocating to North Dakota by spreading rumors that weren’t true.

How To Tell If Your Child Was Fathered By An Out Of State Worker In Dickinson And Watford City, North Dakota

The Catholics, Senator Heidi Heitkamp, law enforcement, and the judicial system all decided that there was not going to be any prostitution allowed when all of the out of state workers moved to western North Dakota for the oil boom and the ratio of men to women in Dickinson became 3:1, and 10:1 in Watford City.  There was nothing that the out of state workers could do but try to seduce the married women and unmarried local women by any means necessary to obtain sex.  Promising them anything and everything, lying to them, tricking them, taking advantage of them, exploiting their vulnerabilities, because they had to if they wanted to have sex.

In order to tell if your child was fathered by an out of state worker, here are some signs to look for:

  1. If your wife had been asking you to fix a fence, wash the windows, trim a tree, clean the gutters out, and your wife quit asking you, and these things got done, and she gave birth nine months later, your child was probably fathered by an out of state worker.
  2. If your child says, “I’m cold”, and it is above 20 degrees Fahrenheit, your child was probably fathered by an out of state worker.
  3. If your child does well in school, likes school, and has a large vocabulary, your child was probably fathered by an out of state worker.
  4. If your child says, “Are y’all fixin to go to the store?”, your child was probably fathered by an out of state worker.
  5. If your child is black, and neither you or your wife is black, your child was probably fathered by an out of state worker.

Are We Supposed To Seduce The Married Women In Dickinson And Watford City, North Dakota?

Are we, the out of state workers, supposed to seduce the married women in Dickinson and Watford City, North Dakota?  The Catholics, Senator Heidi Heitkamp, law enforcement, and the judicial system don’t want there to be any prostitution of any kind whatsoever, so I guess we must be supposed to seduce the married women.

The ratio of men to women in Dickinson is about 3:1, and the ratio of men to women in Watford City is about 10:1.  There are not enough women for everybody to have one, therefore, we must borrow someone else’s, because prostitution is not allowed.

Most of the time, very attractive young ladies with good dispositions already have a boyfriend or husband.  They are so sought after because of their beauty and good personality, that they always either have a boyfriend or are married.  Fortunately, married women are easier to seduce than single women, as I will explain.

Married women, by the fact that they are married, have demonstrated that they like men enough to marry one of them.  If they have been married for at least a few years, they are used to men.  They are used to a man touching them, grabbing them, handling them, having sex with them, sleeping next to them, snoring, being sick around them, being dirty, sweaty, and smelly.  So they are not uncomfortable with men, or the things that men do.

I have written in previous blog posts that all of the housewives, waitresses, and store clerks were tired of being propositioned ten times every day by the truck drivers, construction workers, and oil field workers.  I have written that all of the housewives in Dickinson, Dunn County, and Watford City, hide, they hide, and they try to only go out to do errands and shopping between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in order to avoid all of the male workers who are currently still at work during those hours.  But the housewives try to avoid the male workers, because they actually like some of them, they find some of them to be cute or handsome.

When a married woman sees a strong dirty sweaty construction worker that she thinks is cute or handsome, she starts fantasizing about all the work that she could have him do back at her house.  She starts fantasizing about the strong dirty sweaty construction worker taking her, without asking, (so it’s not her fault), in an animalistic primitive wild lust that she can’t stop, (so it’s not her fault).

The housewives, they have already noticed that some of the out of state workers are cute or handsome, and they have already thought about it.  The housewives that are sometimes the most vulnerable to seduction, according to scientific research, are the ones with a couple of children under the age of eight.  This is because of both a high hormone level at this time, and the fact that they are looking for relief and  escape from their squabbling squealing children.

When you combine the fact that housewives are used to men, are used to having sex, are not scared of sex, are not scared of getting pregnant, find strong sweaty construction workers attractive, have high hormone levels, want an escape from their squealing kids, and, and are probably mad at their husband for something and want to get back at him, you see that housewives are very ready to be borrowed temporarily by out of state workers.

The Catholics could not have set things up any better for the greatest amount of adultery in Dickinson and Watford City, with there being so many men, so few women, and absolutely no prostitutes allowed for the out of state workers.

In my next blog post, I will write about how people in Dickinson and Watford City can tell if their child was fathered by an out of state worker.

Maggie McNeil, The Honest Courtesan, Part II

In my previous blog post I wrote about the website “Maggie McNeil, The Honest Courtesan, frank commentary from an unretired call girl”.

Maggie McNeil is not her real name, it is a pseudonym that she chose for herself to protect her identity.  Maggie McNeil received her B.A. in English, and her M.S. in Library Science.  She became married after graduating and began working as a librarian.  When she became divorced after four years of marriage, she began working as a stripper in New Orleans to pay off debt that she was left with.  While working as a stripper, she found out that she could make more money as a prostitute, so she became a prostitute.

Maggie McNeil writes about all aspects of her life, but mostly she writes as an advocate for women’s rights, especially the right for women to earn their living by having sex for money, without being persecuted and treated like a criminal.

Maggie McNeil came from a stable family, was mentally and physically healthy, completed her education, and was not destitute.  She chose to become a prostitute, she was not forced into it.  She writes that she enjoys having sex and she likes being a prostitute.  She has always been able to manage her own affairs, she has always been in control of her life.  She was never under anyone else’s control, and she was not victimized.

Maggie McNeil writes that there are many women throughout the world that are just like her.  There are many women throughout the world that are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves, and they to chose to have sex for money as a profession.  Maggie McNeil has written more than a thousand blog posts on the subject of people working as prostitutes.  She reads research, studies, and news articles from around the world related to prostitution daily, and she posts links, summaries, and commentary.

I am writing about Maggie McNeil on my blog website, because I would like for people in North Dakota to consider some things in a rational, logical way.  When you have 20,000 male oil field workers move to Williston, North Dakota, there are not enough local women for the oil field workers to court, become engaged, and become married like you Catholics would like.  The ratio of men to women was probably 10:1.

Throughout the history of the world, in most parts of the world, there has been the situation where there were great numbers of men, and very few women.  Wars in remote locations, mining and lumber operations in remote locations, settling of frontiers and far away countries, gold rushes, oil booms.  There has been prostitution everywhere that there has been great numbers of men and few women.

Readers probably have images in their heads of dirty, filthy, diseased women working as prostitutes near battle fronts and mining towns.  The truth is, if these women working as prostitutes didn’t have access to clean lodgings, bathing facilities, and medical care, they might be dirty and diseased.  The best thing for women working as prostitutes and the men using these prostitutes, would be that these women have a clean, safe, regulated environment to work in.

What the North Dakotans should have done, was acknowledge and understand that there were going to be way more men than women due to the oil boom.  There was going to be prostitution.  When prostitution is illegal, and law enforcement and the judicial system seek to find and arrest all prostitutes, prostitution is conducted as a criminal enterprise, by criminals.  No normal woman is going to want to come to North Dakota to work as a prostitute when law enforcement is determined to arrest all prostitutes.  So instead what you get in North Dakota is, gangs, pimps, and criminals in other states get girls and women addicted to drugs, keep them high on drugs, beat them, threaten them, and drive them to North Dakota and force them to work as prostitutes.  These women are so drug addicted, so high on drugs, so coerced, that they have no control over how many men they have sex with, take no health precautions for their own safety, and take no health precautions against spreading disease to men.

If North Dakota would have allowed prostitution to be conducted as a legal business, there could have been normal, healthy, safety conscious women working in safe, clean places of business, with good access to health care, and some regulation.  Instead with North Dakotans vilifying and criminalizing prostitution, you have gangs and pimps drugging girls and women, holding them against their will, and forcing them to have sex with as many men as possible with no regard for their own health, for their customer’s health, or for spreading diseases.

Maggie McNeil, The Honest Courtesan, Part I

“Maggie McNeil, The Honest Courtesan, frank commentary from an unretired call girl”.

Maggie McNeil is probably the best writer that I have ever read.  Maggie McNeil is not her real name.  She grew up in New Orleans, and went to Catholic school.  In 1987 she graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Arts in English.  In 1993 she graduated from Louisiana State University with a Masters in Library Science.

After graduating, she got married to her boyfriend that she met in college, and began working as a librarian.  After about four years of marriage, her marriage did not work out, she got a divorce, and her husband left her with a large amount of debt.  In 1997 she began working as a stripper in New Orleans in order to be able to pay down her debt.  She found out that she could make even more money as a prostitute, so that is what she did.

In about 2006, she married her favorite client, and retired from being a stripper and a prostitute.  She began writing about her life and about prostitution on her website “Maggie McNeil, The Honest Courtesan”.

In 2011 when I first came to Dickinson, North Dakota to work, there was a shortage of women, and lack of attractive women.  For the first time in my life, in my early 40s, I began looking at internet dating sites.  Though I began looking at five different internet dating sites each day, there were still very few attractive women in Dickinson.  Older workers told me to go to the website “Backpage”, and look under “Escorts”.  There were some attractive women advertising in the “Escort” section of “Backpage”, and at $250 per hour, that is way less money, less time, and less effort than trying to have a girlfriend.

However, the police in Dickinson, Williston, and Bismarck were creating fake “Escort” profiles on “Backpage”, and they were arresting the men when they went to their appointment with the “Escort” they contacted.  I was angry, and I still am angry, that everyone in Dickinson and Williston knew that there were way more men than women, the ratio was probably 3:1 in Dickinson and 10:1 in Williston.  Everyone knew that all of the housewives, waitresses, and store clerks were tired of being propositioned ten times a day by truck drivers, construction workers, and oil field workers.  I blame those God damn ignorant scheming Catholics in western North Dakota for not allowing and interfering with men trying to have relations with women in a way that did not harass the housewives, waitresses, and store clerks.

In trying to look for women on the internet, and reading about prostitution on the internet, I found the website “Maggie McNeil, The Honest Courtesan”.  I was impressed with Maggie McNeil’s writing.  She was very logical, organized, and coherent in her writing, it was very professional.  Actually, it was beyond professional, she was a very good and talented writer.

I wrote Maggie McNeil a fairly long e-mail complimenting her writing, explaining my thoughts, and asking her some questions.  She e-mailed me back saying that I should read Ayn Rand if I didn’t think women could be logical.

I have read about one hundred of Maggie McNeil’s blog posts, though she has written more than a thousand.  Some posts tell about her childhood, some are about her education, some about her marriage, being a librarian, a stripper, a prostitute, a writer, and about legalizing prostitution.  Most of her writing is about legalizing prostitution and decriminalizing prostitution.

The reason that I am writing about Maggie McNeil, is that I want other people to read her blog posts, especially women, especially women in North Dakota.  Sometimes she explains very thoroughly that she likes having sex, she always has, even from when she was a teenager, that she sees nothing wrong with it, and is unashamed about it.  I hope that her writing and explaining will help many readers in North Dakota realize that sex is completely normal, it’s not like some terrifying animal escaping from the zoo, which is how North Dakotans look at sex and nudity.

Also, I would like for women, community leaders, elected representatives, Senator Heidi Heitkamp, judicial officers, and law enforcement to read Maggie McNeil’s blog website in order to understand more than they do now about why some women want to get paid to have sex.  Maggie McNeil is very intelligent and well educated.  She realized when she was in financial debt, that she could make more money as a stripper, than at her job as a librarian.  Then, she realized that she could make more money as a prostitute, and that she liked being a prostitute.  This is what she wanted to do as a profession.  She is not a drug addict or a criminal.  There are many other women like her, that want to be paid to have sex, because they can make more money this way, and like it better than other employment options.

I will write more about this in my next blog post Maggie McNeil, The Honest Courtesan, Part II.

Why I Don’t Go Back To Idaho, And The Triple Blasphemy Of Mormonism

Many readers send me e-mail saying, “Why don’t you go back to Idaho.” I will answer this question, and in answering this question, you will see why I created this blog website and why I write what I write.

In May of 2007 I drove from Arizona to eastern Idaho with the intention of moving there. I had done some research about where I was going, the Idaho Falls area. Idaho Falls was the second largest city in Idaho, the population in that area was about 100,000. Housing prices were not high, that was one of the main reasons why I was moving there. I wanted to buy a home and land. The area in Arizona where I was moving from, the average house price was $400,000, which was too much money for me.

When I first drove into Idaho Falls and got off the interstate, I was slightly lost and drove a little outside of town into the farming area. It was exactly like scenes out of a children’s book, plain modest tidy homes with green grass, green pastures, and beautiful clean blue streams of water running through it. Driving further, I came to a wider and faster flowing feeder canal with small white capped waves. There was an abundance of clean water flowing. You could clearly see the Teton Mountains to the east, and they seemed only to be about fifteen miles away. This was the Snake River Valley.

In the late 1800s, the Mormons had settled the Snake River Valley through 180 acre government land grants to homesteaders. I did not have anything against the Mormons, though I was something like a Methodist. I thought that Mormons didn’t drink alcohol, didn’t smoke, didn’t drink caffeinated beverages, and had large families. What is wrong with that?

In Idaho Falls, there was a Mormon Church, The Church Of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, about every five to ten blocks. Idaho Falls is about sixty to seventy percent Mormon. After I had lived in Idaho Falls for several months and had met people, I was invited to the LDS, Latter Day Saints Church.

I won’t go into all of the details, but at LDS Church, first there is the general assembly of all persons together before the Bishop of that Ward or Precinct, then the men and women dis-assemble and go to individual meetings based on their age group.

I did some reading at home about the Mormon Church. In the early 1800s, their prophet, Joseph Smith, was visited by the angel Moroni, and he was told where a book of golden tablets was buried along with a sacred vest. Joseph Smith later retrieved this book of golden tablets and the sacred vest. The book was written in an unknown language, which only Joseph Smith was granted the power to read. Joseph Smith verbally translated the book of golden tablets to a friend who wrote everything down, and this is how The Book Of Mormon was created.

Many people were, and are skeptical, about Joseph Smith being a prophet of God. Many people ask, “Why can’t the book of golden tablets be looked at by anyone, even just a few experts, to prove and verify that the book of golden tablets does exist?” Another reason why many people were, and are skeptical about Joseph Smith being a prophet of God, is because The Holy Bible does state and imply that Jesus was the final messenger that would be sent by God, no prophet would come after him.

I was skeptical about Joseph Smith being a prophet of God, but I went to several more LDS Church services. The general assembly of all persons was dismissed one morning, and I went to the men’s study group. A man in the study group stated the Mormon belief, “Just as God evolved, we too can evolve, and become Gods of our own planet one day.”  I said to myself, “What the fuck did he just say! What the fuck did he just say!”

When this study group dismissed, I anxiously asked my two Mormon Missionary friends, what was this guy talking about. Unfortunately, this was no mistake, this is Mormon Doctrine. The Mormon Missionaries explained to me that Mormon men believe that through work, effort, and reincarnations, that men can evolve to become more God-like, and that they will be Gods of their own planet one day. This was the craziest thing that I had ever heard, and I realized right away that it was blasphemous in at least three different ways.

If you are a Christian, you believe that God is a supreme being. Stating that God “evolved”, is stating that God might not always have been a supreme being and implying that God is not perfect, is fallible, and makes mistakes. Stating that we too can evolve to become like God, is just outright blasphemy, and again denying that God is a supreme being. Stating that we too can become Gods of our own planet one day is the third blasphemy, continuing to state that we can become like God. If you readers have never heard this, and you don’t believe me, please look this up for yourself.

I informed my Mormon Missionary friends that I could not attend the LDS Church anymore, that this thing about God evolving was blasphemous to me. I was suspicious about Mormons from that day forward. Each Mormon man that I met from then on, I thought to myself, “Does he believe that he will become God of his own planet one day? If he does, he has got to be crazy.” I wondered how educated people like doctors and lawyers could believe something like this, if they do, they must have something mentally wrong with them. In case you women readers missed it, I said that the Mormon men believe that they will evolve to become God of their own planet one day, as for the women, they do not pass into a higher realm, they pass out of existence.

Once I explained how I felt about not being able to attend the LDS Church anymore, I was black listed in Idaho at the medium level of disfavor. Good, high paying jobs, which are not plentiful in Idaho Falls, were no longer open to me. The hottest, best looking, best temperament Mormon women were no longer available to me. Before moving to Idaho, I had no idea that Idaho Falls was sixty to seventy percent Mormon, and that Idahoans really want newcomers to join their Mormon Church to increase their numbers and their prosperity. If you don’t join, they look at it as undermining and refusing to increase their success and prosperity.

I had to weigh having a good, high paying job, and a hot, beautiful, subservient wife, against eternal damnation of my soul. If I would have known that Idaho was going to be this way, I never would have moved there in the first place. I wish that there would have been some useful truthful information about “living in Idaho” right there at the top of the search results on the internet, telling everyone what it is really like before they move there.

That is why I have a blog website about Dickinson, Watford City, and western North Dakota. I want to tell all of the people from out of state the truth before they move here. There are not a lot of job openings now, housing prices are still high, there is a shortage of women, people are unfriendly and uncooperative, the police are aggressive in DUI arrests, there is not much to do, it is extremely cold and grey for seven months out of the year, and the Catholics here a mean and nasty to everyone.

Creating Work And Industries In Dickinson And Watford City, North Dakota, Part I

In several of my recent blog posts, I wrote that Dickinson and Watford City are about to enter into a Recession because oil drilling operations are not going to increase in the next six months, possibly not in twelve months, possibly not in twenty-four months.  In the past year, I saw at least one newspaper article that was about business people, city government, and state government trying to figure out what industries in western North Dakota could possibly take the place of oil drilling.  I have not heard much news about progress being made in developing new industries in western North Dakota.

For more than a year, from time to time, I have thought about what local North Dakotans are good at, what they know how to do, what they can do, and what is already here.  Local North Dakotans are good mechanics, fabricators, and welders.  Local North Dakotans like to stay inside and work on things in garages during the Winter, that is what comes natural to them.

I am not at all joking about this, when I say that local North Dakotans would be good boat builders.  I know a lot about all different kinds of boats, and if I was personally well-off financially, even if I did not need a boat, which I don’t, I would not hesitate to commission some local North Dakotans to build a boat for me, because I could easily sell it.  I will give several examples, and I may not get through all of them in Part I of this blog post.

In every state in the United States, both recreationally and commercially, people use aluminum boats on rivers, lakes, bayous, swamps, and reservoirs.  The simplest aluminum boats, are open, flat bottom, slightly narrowed bow, with squared off stern.  They usually have aluminum bench seats going cross wise, with styrofoam flotation blocks under the seats.  In many states, people want the most open and simplest aluminum boat that they can get, with some sturdiness to it, oar locks, a few cleats, and a strong enough stern for an outboard motor.

All around Dickinson and Watford City, I have seen 40′ free-span aluminum security gates, which are very well done, so I know that there are fabricators around here that are good at fabricating and welding aluminum.  Steffes Corporation, Worthington Industries, and Fisher Industries in Dickinson make different kinds of steel structures, steel equipment, and steel machinery that is much larger, more complicated, and more demanding than aluminum boats.

Another type of aluminum boats that are very popular are pontoon boats.  I know that these fabricators around here that have been making large tanks, can just as easily make pontoons.  Pontoon boats are liked by Red-necks because they are simple, have a lot of room, are inexpensive, and fun.  Pontoon boats are supposed to have comfortable seating and cabinets, so a company like TMI in Dickinson might make the on-deck components.

People in North Dakota and all of the surrounding states could and would actually use the aluminum boats that would be made in North Dakota, but the whole United States is the potential market.  I am not joking about this in any way.  The local people in North Dakota like fabricating, like welding, like working inside in the Winter, and they like pontoon boats.

I am not saying or suggesting that an investor is going to get rich starting recreational boat manufacturing in North Dakota.  However the companies that are already here like Steffes, Worthington, Fisher Industries, and TMI already have the personnel and equipment to begin building simple recreational boats.  They also have the personnel and equipment to begin building floating docks and floating structures.  Once some experience is gained in building recreational boats and floating structures, specialized boats and floating structures can be built for other industries and the government.

How manufacturers do become rich, is by building and supplying equipment to the government and the military.  When a manufacturer demonstrates that they have the ability to fabricate a variety of things well, they have the opportunity to bid on and provide proposals for military and government equipment.  More on this in Part II.

Recommendations For People In Dickinson And Watford City Regarding The Recession

It is clear now that drilling operations in western North Dakota will not increase in the next six months, possibly not in twelve months, possibly not in twenty-four months.  Western North Dakota is entering into a Recession at this time.

More people will continue to lose their jobs, even some city government, state government, and federal government jobs.  Wage rates will go down.  Very few people will work overtime hours.  The longer that oil drilling operations do not increase, the worse the Recession will get.  If the Recession continues for a year, there will not be enough jobs for everyone.  There will be fierce competition for even low wage jobs.

It will become necessary for skilled trades people from western North Dakota to travel to other states that may have building projects.  These skilled trades people sending money back to their families that stay behind in western North Dakota, this money coming into town to pay for rent, mortgages, car payments, and consumer items will help the local economy.  The fact that some workers will go away, leave town, and find work out of state, will allow there not to be 100 people applying for and fighting over every single local job.

Now in western North Dakota, the heads of households, moms and dads, need to have a serious family meeting like they may have never had before, with the TV off, phones put away, and everybody being quiet and paying attention.  I don’t believe in scaring kids or sharing financial information with kids, but this Recession is going to be so bad, that you are going to need to make your family members understand now.  You are going to have to explain to your kids that either mom or dad, or both, may lose their job, have reduced hours, or reduced wages.  The family is going to have to do things differently.

The family can no longer waste money on stupid shit.  In order to pay for necessities like rent, utilities, and food, the family can not waste money on stupid shit.  You have got to let the kids know that they can’t be whining about expensive toys, clothes, trips, because there is not going to be money for that.  Not to waste food and utilities.  Mom or dad may have to go work out of state.  Mom or dad may have to get a second job.  Teenage sons or daughters may have to get a job after school and use that money to pay for their own clothes and other things.  Mom and dad need to explain the necessity of doing these things, and explain what everyone else in Dickinson and Watford City will go through.  Some of their friends will lose their homes or be evicted from their apartments, or have to move away.

You the reader may be thinking that this is drastic.  Yes, it is drastic.  If this were Idaho, where people have not been making much money, for ever, I would have had little talks with my family all along about not spending money, not one Big talk scaring everybody.  But that is what is required now, to scare your family.

Even though ordinary workers in Dickinson and Watford City did not save a lot of money because rents were so high, many workers made a high enough hourly wage to make consumer items like clothes, cell phone, groceries, and gas easily affordable and not significant.  Individuals and families in Dickinson and Watford City have gotten used to spending a lot of money every day, because they had a lot of money coming in.  If it has not already happened to them, it very likely will happen soon that they will not have so much money coming in.  They will have to change their spending habits, drastically.

I would be explaining to my family that his whole thing was crazy anyway.

Looking back on this, people from all over the United States that were having financial difficulties and not making much money where they were, came to North Dakota in hope of getting a good job and getting ahead.  It was because of this hope, that they went and paid $1,500 to $2,500 per month for a place to live, thinking that they would still clear enough money to come out ahead.  I have lived here in North Dakota now for four years, and I have only ever met people who came here who at best just got by.  I have only ever met people who came here who just paid for themselves and their families and just got by.  The cold, the unfriendliness, nothing to do, no where to go, no women, and no one got ahead, they just paid for their existence, and now its over.

To make it all worth while, I expect some North Dakotan to offer up, “Nobody asked you to come here.”

Entering A Recession In Western North Dakota

Many people will groan or curse as soon as they see the title of this blog post.  I want to be very vocal about the Recession that western North Dakota is about to enter into.  I want to warn as many people as possible, as soon as possible.

It is very clear now that oil drilling operations are not going to increase in the next six months, maybe not in twelve months, maybe not in twenty-four months.  The only things that could cause a sudden demand for increased U.S. oil production would be a war, or an oil embargo by the Middle East.

There are very few job listings in newspapers and on internet job sites.  I have seen the wage rate decrease by several dollars per hour for some of the jobs that are listed.  The rents advertised by the recently completed apartment buildings decrease every month as people move away, vacancy rates increase, units become harder to rent, and people are being paid much less money due in part to no overtime being worked.

Driving around Dickinson, Belfield, and Watford City, there is much less traffic, very mild traffic in morning and evening rush hour, and hardly any traffic at all at night.  Very few people are going to restaurants and bars.  Wal-Mart and the grocery stores are not very busy.

Not everyone is going to be able to remain in western North Dakota.  There will not be enough jobs to go around.  The highest pay jobs will be mechanics at the car dealers, and nurses at the hospitals.  A few city government, state government, and federal government employees will lose their jobs here locally, government workers will lose some jobs.  It will come to the point in about a year, that there will be so many people here locally seeking any kind of work, that all the retail jobs will pay about $9 to $10 per hour, and the fast food jobs will pay about $8 per hour, and people will be competing fiercely for these jobs.  There will simply not be enough jobs to go around, and the wage rate will drop.

Heavy equipment mechanics, mechanics, equipment operators, electricians, plumbers, and welders that can’t find work in western North Dakota, should be able to find work elsewhere in the United States where they are building, possibly some place like Denver.  These workers already know this.

Retail workers and fast food workers, there might not be high wages anywhere else in the U.S., but there are places where the cost of living is less, and it is warmer.

All the crazy, mentally ill, trashy women that came to North Dakota because they couldn’t get a job where they came from, I believe that they will probably stay here in North Dakota, because they have no money, no where to go, and no body wants them.  They know, they know that even if they could get hired at Dennys or Cracker Barrel in a different state, the managers, co-workers, and customers wouldn’t put up with their meth addict demeanor and attitude for five minutes.

The Beauty Of Western North Dakota

I recognize the beauty of western North Dakota.  It is like the ocean in many, many ways.

I am reminded of the ocean when I look across the rolling prairie.  When I look out across it, it is empty, there is nothing there.  It is beautiful because of its vastness and emptiness.

It is frightening in its emptiness and desolation.  Even though I admire it, it makes me feel uneasy.  It is desolate and barren.  I can never forget how cold it gets, how the wind blows, how poor it is, and how hard it is to survive.

I only enjoy looking at it, when I am sitting someplace warm and safe, like my vehicle, and I have money.  I never want to be forced to work outside in the wind and cold ever again, and to be at the mercy of other people in North Dakota.

It is exactly like being on a ship at sea.  There are no women.  Everything is fine when you are warm and dry, and can look out upon the ocean.  When there is a storm, and you have to be out in the wind and rain, it is miserable.  When the weather is bad, you realize how close you are to dying.
