Brief Delay In Obama Transforming The United States

During the second term of President Barack Obama, I thought that it was possible that there would be a civil war or widespread rioting within the United States. The causes could have been an economic collapse, where a large percentage of the population could not afford to pay for housing, food, and necessities.

I was not alone in recognizing the potential for a civil war or rioting within the United States at that particular time. There are studies and research results that are publicized every few months, that show up to 50% of Americans live pay check to pay check, meaning they have absolutely no savings or very little savings in the bank to use in case of an emergency.

Many people in the United States get by when they lose their job or have an unexpected emergency, by staying with friends or family members, or by receiving some kind of help or assistance from friends or family members. But what would happen if 20% of the pay check to pay check people suddenly and unexpectedly lost their employment at the same time?

The answer is, they would go to WalMart or another grocery store, fill up a shopping cart with food and necessities, and then head for the exit. If a 150 lb retail worker who gets paid $12 per hour tried to stop them, the retail worker would be informed that they were going to get beat to death if they tried to stop them. Yes, there would be some shoving, and arguing, and during this ruckus, about four or five other families would be headed out of the exits without paying, because they had no money.

If you stop and think about it, putting yourself in someone else’s shoes, even if you are not a criminal, but you have absolutely no money left, you live in a city, and you, your wife, and your children are very hungry, you would probably try to get what you needed from the grocery store, somehow. This might involve breaking the store windows at night when the store is closed, and quickly trying to gather and run away with as much as you could carry in a duffel bag. Or it might involve breaking into or hijacking a food delivery truck.

In every city, there would be hundreds or thousands of residents thinking the same thing. Leaving a grocery store without paying, smashing the store windows at night and taking as much as they could carry, or hijacking food delivery trucks. Soon, the stores’ shelves would be empty, both from being looted at night, and from food delivery trucks no longer arriving. There would be no point re-stocking store shelves, or having delivery trucks sent, if everything was just going to get stolen.

As a brief aside, this is what the “Preppers” were predicting would or could happen. So for one thing, the Preppers sought to have enough food, water, medicine, and other necessities to sustain their families during a period of time in which they would be unable to obtain these things from grocery stores. Secondly, Preppers could foresee that people from the cities would flee the cities, and end up in the suburbs, trying to take whatever they could find or steal in order to survive. So Preppers realized that they needed to arm themselves also, in order to be able to keep their own supplies that they had purchased ahead of time for their family.

The U.S. Government’s reaction or solution to widespread looting or rioting in the cities, would be to declare Martial Law or a National Emergency. When Martial Law is declared to be in effect, normal Civil Rights, and Constitutional Rights, are suspended, such as Due Process of Law, Right To An Attorney, Right To Travel Freely, or protection from Unlawful Search And Seizure.

During Martial Law, you could expect to have to stop at check points, have your person or vehicle searched, and be forced remain inside during curfew hours.

During a National Emergency, if you look up and read the laws and Executive Orders that have been signed, a number of new rules take effect such as: All means of transportation whether public or private, such as vehicles, boats, planes, and trains, can be seized and controlled by the government; All food production and food stores whether public or private, such as farms, ranches, livestock, crops, fisheries, and other can be seized and controlled by the government; All energy sources and energy stores whether public or private, such as mines, coal, oil wells, natural gas, refineries, or fuel tanks can be seized and controlled by the government.

For the Preppers who have read the laws and Executive Orders that come into effect once a National Emergency has been declared, this is very troubling to them, because all of the food, water, fuel, and equipment that they have collected for their family, can be seized by the government, and redistributed to other people.

If you choose to continue to look into the laws that have been passed and the Executive Orders that have been signed regarding the declaration of a National Emergency, the U.S. can request United Nations forces to take control of certain areas.

So, for the Preppers, Militia, Red Necks, Hillbillies, Oath Keepers, Promise Keepers, Evangelical Christians, and Anti-Big Government people, they have long had the suspicion and nightmare that one day things would get so out of hand in the cities, with rioting and looting, that this would initiate the declaration of Martial Law, a National Emergency, which would result in the arrival of United Nations troops ordering them out of their own homes, farms, and ranches in order to seize and redistribute their property.

There are more laws that cover the evacuation, relocation, and assignment of civilians to work details as seen fit by whoever is enforcing Martial Law in your area, whether U.S. or U.N. forces.

As far as the intellectual and ruling elite are concerned, whether it is Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, John Kerry, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, or George Bush, it is inevitable that there will be a necessity for a One World Government, where all of the resources on Earth can be accounted for, managed, controlled, and distributed more effectively.

The intellectual and ruling elite have already considered such questions as: Is it beneficial for one individual to own and control 2,000 to 50,000 acres of land in Texas, New Mexico, Wyoming, Utah, Montana, or North Dakota, the wildlife, the timber, water, oil, minerals, solar and wind energy potential? Does an individual have the right to own natural resources such as wildlife, timber, water, oil, minerals, solar and wind energy potential? Don’t these natural resources belong to everyone? Shouldn’t they be more equitably and responsibly managed by the government?

The intellectual and ruling elite have also considered what is wrong with you people. Why are you so greedy, why are you so combative, why are you so ignorant, why are you so resistant to change, why are you so resistant to progress? Is it because of the strange family values that you were brought up with? Is it because of the religion that you were brought up in?

Once you understand that men can be women, women can be men, men can have sex with men, women can have sex with women, men asking women for sex is illegal, white people are bad, black people are good, black people have been disadvantaged, Hispanic people have been disadvantaged, Asian people have been overadvantaged, women are victims, women are weaker, women are superior, the government will provide for you, do not resist the government, then the world will be a much better place because you will all be so much more manageable.

Banks Don’t Want To Lend, Or Own Property In Dickinson, And It Is Causing Real Estate Prices To Fall

Banks in Dickinson, North Dakota do not want to loan money on property, and end up owning property in Dickinson, and it is causing real estate prices to fall. No matter what people in Dickinson say or think about the economy in Dickinson remaining steady or improving, the Banks think the opposite, as demonstrated by their current lending practices.

The Banks don’t want to loan money on property in Dickinson because of the following doubts about Dickinson:

The Banks believe that real estate prices in Dickinson will continue to fall.
The Banks do not want to have loans on properties that are depreciating, which people would walk away from when they owe the Bank more money than their home is worth.
The Banks believe that the economy in Dickinson will continue to decline, with fewer jobs, lay-offs, businesses closing, and wage rates continually decreasing.
The Banks do not want to loan money based on people’s income history in Dickinson, because they believe that many people will lose their job, be unable to find another job, and their wage rates will continually decrease.
The Banks believe that people in Dickinson will default on their home loans, because they will get laid-off, be unable to find another job, their wage rates will drop, or they will find out that they owe more money on their home than it is worth as its value depreciates.
The Banks believe that they will likely end up owning many properties in Dickinson because of people defaulting on their mortgages. The Banks believe that these properties will be depreciating in value greatly, they will be unable to find qualified replacement buyers, and the Bank will be responsible for paying insurance and high property taxes on these properties for many years.

In order to not have problems, the Banks are trying to not lend money on houses in Dickinson, because they don’t want to end up owning many, many houses in Dickinson.

The Banks don’t care, that the depreciation of home values that they are so worried about, they are perhaps the primary cause of this right now.

I will give two quick examples of home buyers who were willing to pay the seller’s asking price, but the Banks would not loan money to any of the buyers, so the home price dropped 10% to 20% in less than one year.

A friend of mine who has lived in Dickinson for 35 years, currently owns a home with $20,000 remaining on his mortgage. I believe his current mortgage payments are $300 per month or less. He is single, and a couple of years ago he no longer had to make child support payments of $700 per month or more on his two children, as they are now grown. He has worked at the same company for over eight years, and his take home pay after all taxes is at least $3,000 per month. He owns several vehicles, which are paid for.

He agreed to purchase a neighboring house for $134,000, which was less than the current appraised value. He thought that he would have no problem getting a mortgage for this house, based on his income, his employment history, his large equity in his current home, and having no car payments, credit card debt, or other debt. But the Banks in Dickinson denied him a home loan.

If you use an on-line mortgage payment calculator, the mortgage payment for the $134,000 house would be less than $900 per month, plus his current mortgage payment is $300 per month. For a single male with $3,000 per month income after all taxes, with no other debts, why couldn’t he afford $1,200 per month total for home payments?

The Banks did not want to make a home loan to him with payments of less than $900 per month, but for twelve years on his income he had paid nearly this much every month in child support.

Within less than one year, the seller’s asking price for this home that he agreed to buy for $134,000 had dropped to $120,000.

This second story is about my experience. I own a home in Idaho which is paid for, but I have been working in Dickinson for almost six years. For about three years, I was a roommate of a home owner in Dickinson, where I paid about $480 per month. Once the Oil Boom ended, and so many out of state workers returned to where they came from, apartment rents in Dickinson decreased greatly, and I rented an apartment for less than $400 per month. However, I wanted to get out of this apartment, because I had some bad neighbors. I saw a very inexpensive manufactured home for sale in Belfield, on its owned land, so this was something that I was interested in buying:

A trucking company in Idaho, that was doing business in North Dakota, wanted to buy housing for three of its truck drivers, so this trucking company purchased a 3-bedroom single-wide manufactured home in Belfield on its owned triple lot, for nearly $50,000 in about 2014. This trucking company completely furnished this manufactured home with everything from furniture, to appliances, beds, bed linens, cookware, and utensils.

This trucking company in Idaho, no longer does business in North Dakota, so they wanted to get rid of this manufactured home, just like it is, with all of the furnishings. Six months ago, they were asking $25,000. I went and looked at it, and it was fine with me. The property taxes were only about $100 per year. The mortgage payments, would be much less than I had been paying in rent for the past six years in Dickinson.

I went to or spoke to four or five Banks in Dickinson, and they each had their own excuse for not wanting to lend any money for this manufactured home, such as “We have been instructed to not lend money on any manufactured home whatsoever, no matter how new it is, or how much land is involved.” or “We can not lend money because the land is zoned commercial.”

I thought that this was ridiculous, I have very good credit, this was less money than a new vehicle costs, and the Bank could place a lien against my paid for home in Idaho if they ever needed to collect their money. I was seriously considering putting this home purchase on my credit card, which has a credit limit of $35,000.

Many other people looked at this manufactured home in Belfield, and tried to buy it, but none of them could get a loan from a Bank. A few days ago, the real estate agent sent me a text message, stating that the seller’s asking price is now down to $20,000. This is a 20% price drop in six months. I would have been happy to pay $25,000 with a home loan from a Bank.

I know one other person in Dickinson now, whose take home pay after taxes is at least $3,000 per month. He is single, in his forties, and he has been employed with the same company for several years. He recently applied for a home loan with a Bank in Dickinson, for a home owned by a relative of his who is willing to sell it to him for less than $200,000, even though the appraised value would be closer to $250,000.

This Bank informed him that they would approve him for a mortgage of up to $70,000. Which means they don’t trust him to be able to make monthly payments of more than $400 per month. If a single person’s take home pay after taxes is $3,000 per month, why wouldn’t this person be able to afford mortgage payments closer to $1,000 per month, and a mortgage of up to $180,000?

What I am explaining, is that Banks in Dickinson right now are being very restrictive on home loans, because for one thing, they expect home values to decrease. The funny thing is, these Banks’ lending policies are the primary cause right now for why home values are decreasing. They won’t loan money even when buyers are willing to pay the sellers’ asking prices.

The Best Seven Years For Dickinson, North Dakota

In 1996 I moved to Tampa to work for a company as an engineer. I rented an apartment on Lake Magdelene in north Tampa. Up until the 1950s, most of north Tampa was hundreds and hundreds of acres of orange groves. As Tampa grew continually, it pushed northward into these orange groves.

This area of Tampa was very beautiful, or it had been. There were probably nearly one hundred small lakes, ranging in size from fifty feet across, to Lake Magdelene which was about one mile in length. Besides citrus trees like orange, tangerine, kumquat, lime, and grapefruit trees; banana trees, palm trees, oak trees, oleanders, dense hedges, ornamental plants, ferns, and flowers filled these middle class and upper middle class neighborhoods.

By the time that I moved to Tampa in 1996, Hillsborough County had grown to nearly one million people. At this moment in time, the character of Tampa was about to change significantly. The area north of Tampa, the orange groves and small lakes, was almost completely developed. These very traditional, beautiful, comfortable suburban neighborhoods that had been built from the 1960s through the 1990s were done.

An unbelievable and unprecedented amount of new development began in what was called “New Tampa”, to the north west, on the west side of Interstate 75. On the west side of Interstate 75, there were thousands of acres of cattle pasture and swamp land, this became “New Tampa”.

Every housing development in New Tampa was a “gated community”. You exited Interstate 75 onto Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, and drove west until you reached the entrance to the gated community in which you lived, turned in, and drove through the entrance past the guard house and gate. This entrance was the only way in, and the only way out. Each gated community was surrounded by a combination of walls, earth berms, and tall hedges.

Besides being protected behind the walls, earth berms, and gates, or you could look at it as being a prisoner, which was often the case when you tried to leave in the morning during rush hour, these gated communities featured “McMansion” architecture. “McMansion” architecture is where cheap construction methods and cheap materials are used to create intentionally tall entry ways and high roof peaks, to make a home look enormous and expensive.

I believed that I had arrived in Tampa about twenty years too late. On weekends when I was living on Lake Magdalene, I would ride my bicycle through these beautiful thirty year old neighborhoods, with quiet tree lined streets, natural lakes in the backyards, community tennis courts, and small orange groves here and there.

In these thirty year old neighborhoods, everyone knew everyone on that street, and the next streets over. Husbands and wives bought one of these houses when they were in their thirties, and stayed there even after their kids moved out, they retired, and became old.

Some of these houses were large five bedroom, three bathroom houses, but most of these houses were modest and unpretentious. Due to the economy and nature of Tampa, with large corporations, an international airport, McDill AFB, international sea port, and professional sports teams, neighbors would have been doctors, lawyers, engineers, airline pilots, military officers, ship captains, or professional athletes.

For adults in these neighborhoods, especially the wives, it would have been very enjoyable to be able to socialize with so many other adults with similar education, professional level, income level, interests, and values. Parents in these neighborhoods did not have to worry very much about where their kids were, because all of the parents watched all of these kids.

After school, and in the summer, the kids in these neighborhoods, could have gone swimming, fishing, canoeing, water skiing, sailing, or played tennis. I don’t think there would be any question that each of these kids was expecting and planning on going to college, because that is what all of the other kids did, and that is what everyone’s parents had done. There would not have been aimless, depressed, self-destructive, drug addict, hoodlum kids around.

So I would have liked to have been either a kid or an adult living in one of these middle class neighborhoods in north Tampa from 1960 to 1990. I think that I would have been happier as a kid or an adult living among peers with the same interests, values, beliefs, and goals, in this warm, safe, beautiful environment, doing things that I like to do. But after 1990, no way, Tampa became too huge and overwhelming.

I want to point out, that these middle class adults who lived in Tampa from 1960 through 1990, with their education, professionalism, values, beliefs, interests, and goals, they caused Tampa to thrive, and double in size. Though these adults created and loved their quiet, peaceful, happy, suburban neighborhoods on the north side of Tampa, the growth that they caused, changed the character of Tampa, to something that they would not have liked, the “gated communities” with the “McMansions”. However, they would have acknowledged there was no way to be able to stop this, it was inevitable.

I also want to point out, that the kids who grew up in these beautiful, safe, fun, middle class neighborhoods on the north side of Tampa, where everyone’s parents went to college, and everyone was going to go to college, that these kids were so solidly grounded, that I think that they could do O.K. living anywhere. What I mean is, I think these kids all turned out so well due to the constant positive influence of their peers and the other parents, that I think these kids as adults could cope with living in an unpleasant city or urban area. ( I base this belief on my experiences attending the University of Florida on a campus with what was then 35,000 students, where some students thrived and some students could not cope, not because of intelligence level, but because of their backgrounds.)

When I was living in Flagstaff, Arizona, which I loved, I also felt that I arrived there twenty to thirty years too late. To save time, I could say that everything about Flagstaff was wonderful. However, beginning in about year 2000, real estate prices began to skyrocket. And from what I have been told, growth has just continued non-stop to this day, making not just the price of real estate a problem, but now over development is a problem too.

The best, most enjoyable years to live in Flagstaff, were probably the 1960s through the 1990s. The town, the forests, the mountains, the beauty, the lifestyle, the people, the weather were all so enjoyable, that this is what led to real estate skyrocketing, and the over development. It was just inevitable.

Finally, getting to what this blog post was supposed to be about, “The Best Seven Years For Dickinson, North Dakota.” From 2007 through 2014, there was an Oil Boom in Dickinson, North Dakota. Though there was an “Exploration Boom” in North Dakota in the 1950s, and there was a “Gas Price Oil Boom” in North Dakota in the 1970s, this most recent oil boom has had the most significant and greatest impact on Dickinson.

How can I say that 2007 through 2014 was “The Best Seven Years For Dickinson” ? To begin, prior to 2007, the average hourly wage in Dickinson was probably about $8 per hour, with no opportunity to work overtime. There were very few job openings, and very few opportunities to get a higher paying job. There was no way for most Dickinson residents to get ahead financially. It would have been difficult for most Dickinson residents to even be able to save enough money to get out of Dickinson and try to move some place else.

In addition to there being mostly only low paying jobs, with very few opportunities to get a higher paying job, everything in Dickinson was controlled. The wealthy families in Dickinson, and the influential families in Dickinson, controlled who got hired, who got fired, who got a promotion, who got demoted, who got recognition, who got blame, who got arrested, who was not prosecuted, who got a home loan, who got a car loan, who was evicted, and so forth.

When the Oil Boom began in 2007, it was almost like the Dickinson residents were released from bondage. There was such a demand for workers in the oil field, that any able bodied person in Dickinson could get a job immediately for at least $16 per hour, which is about twice the average hourly pay of $8 per hour, plus, they might be allowed to work as much as 40 hours of overtime each week.

Some Dickinson residents, who were in their forties, who had always been kept down in Dickinson, always receiving low pay, never getting a promotion, never being able to get a better job, never being able to get a home loan, all of a sudden went from making $320 per week, to making $2,000 per week. And for once, there was no wealthy or influential family in Dickinson who could stop them.

When the Oil Boom began, a graduating high school student who would not have been able to find a job in Dickinson, could now get a job earning as much as $1,400 per week working in the oil field. A graduating high school student who would have had no car, and had to live with his parents, could now get a job working in the oil field, buy a very nice truck, and rent their own apartment.

Once the Oil Boom began in Dickinson, young couples were each able to obtain good employment, get married, and buy their own home. Older couples were each able to obtain good employment, pay off their credit card debt, pay off their car loans, and pay off their home loans.

Due to families in Dickinson owning farms, or having retained mineral rights, oil well lease signing checks and revenue checks, began earning many families in Dickinson thousands or tens of thousands of dollars each month. Farmers purchased completely new farm equipment, trucks, and travel trailers. Some families dispersed this monthly oil revenue money to their children and grandchildren. Many family members in Dickinson receiving oil revenue money purchased new vehicles, motorcycles, travel trailers, did home remodels, or paid for their kids to go to college.

Due to the amount of oil field work in and around Dickinson, many new large warehouse buildings were built, new office buildings were built, new restaurants were built, a new shopping center was built. About five new hotels and fifteen new apartment buildings were built. Local land owners, real estate agents, and construction companies made money on these new building projects. Some local residents started and grew their own oil field service companies and construction companies.

During this Oil Boom, the City of Dickinson was able to build one of the nicest recreation centers in the World. It has two indoor swimming pools, one outdoor swimming pool, skateboard park, ice skating rink, two indoor tennis courts, three indoor racketball courts, four indoor basketball courts, one volleyball court, indoor golf simulator, rock climbing wall, indoor track, cardiovascular equipment area, weight lifting gym, aerobics studios, and child day care.

The City of Dickinson was able to build a new Police Department, have a new water tower, pave many roads, widen roads, add stop lights, build a new school, and have a new County Fairground.

Would I have wanted to be in Dickinson from 2007 through 2014? Yes, I would have, especially if I would have been a resident of Dickinson. I was in Dickinson on and off from 2011 until now in 2018.

Unlike my story about getting to Tampa too late, where Tampa kept growing and growing, or my story about getting to Flagstaff too late where Flagstaff kept growing and growing, I got to Dickinson too late, because Dickinson is contracting.

In my stories about Tampa and Flagstaff, conditions in these towns were so good, that it was inevitable that they would grow. In Dickinson, conditions are so bad, that it is seems inevitable that Dickinson will decline.

One of the reasons why I am writing this particular blog post, and the way that I am writing it, is because the people in Dickinson do not know that 2007 to 2014 will likely be the best years that Dickinson has ever had, or will have. I began with the two stories about Tampa and Flagstaff, to explain the inevitability of places changing, even if you do not want them to go in the direction that they are going in.

In the case of Tampa, there was so much continued growth because of the regional economy, low cost of living, good climate, recreation, entertainment, night life, fine dining, shopping, professional football, professional baseball, professional hockey, international airport, international sea port, U.S. Central Command McDill AFB, and the University of South Florida.

In Flagstaff, the continued growth had nothing to do with the regional economy or cost of living, neither of which are very good, it was the beauty of the town, the Coconino National Forest, the snow skiing, trail hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, the clear blue skies during the winter, the nightlife, friendly downtown, diverse and well educated population, low crime and no riff-raff hoodlums.

In Dickinson, after the Oil Boom ended in 2015, many of the oil field jobs went away, many oil field workers returned to the states where they came from, and subsequently other jobs went away in other areas of the economy. The amount of oil field jobs continue to decrease, as do other jobs in other areas of the economy in Dickinson. As there are fewer jobs in Dickinson, and a greater supply of workers than demand for workers, we are seeing the wage rates steadily decrease in Dickinson.

As there are fewer oil field jobs, fewer jobs in other areas, and wage rates are decreasing, the old practices of nepotism, favoritism, discrimination, prejudice, and exclusion in hiring, promotion, lay offs, and home lending are beginning to emerge again in Dickinson.

The people in Dickinson are unfriendly, the Police in Dickinson are encouraging people to leave Dickinson, the Police in Dickinson are discouraging people from going out at night, the restaurants are not very good, the restaurant servers are not very nice, there is shortage of women, there is scarcity of attractive women, the real estate prices are high, the real estate prices are likely to fall, there is too much crime in Dickinson, little entertainment, few recreation activities, and it is cold and grey for about seven months of the year in Dickinson.

The population of Dickinson is decreasing, Dickinson is contracting, and this is just going to continue. The people in Dickinson refuse to see this or acknowledge this. Some people believe the Oil Boom will come back.

In order for Dickinson to not contract, Dickinson would have to be a place where people would want to move, and stay. Here are some changes that would be needed:

The Police in Dickinson need to find a way to stop the crime and drug dealing in Dickinson, without following, surveilling, and stopping non-criminal, law abiding people.
The Police in Dickinson need to find a way to allow adults to go out to restaurants and sports bars at night to socialize, without following, surveilling, and stopping them on their way home.
The people in Dickinson need to stop being mean and nasty to other people in general, and to cease nepotism, favoritism, prejudice, discrimination, and exclusion in hiring, firing, promotion, and bank lending.
The people in Dickinson need to stop being out-of-their minds as far as real estate prices in Dickinson.
The banks in Dickinson need to grant home loans to people who demonstrate that they can make the mortgage payments.
The restaurants in Dickinson need to stop using jaded, rough, mean drug addict women as servers, especially the ones from Spokane, Seattle, and Coeur D’Alene.
Dickinson needs to be a city that promotes health, such as hygiene, exercise, and fitness, and discourages smoking, tobacco, illegal drugs, over use of alcohol, and over eating.
Dickinson needs to be a city that promotes education, awareness, and spirituality, and discourages ignorance, hate, and Catholicism.
Dickinson needs to be a city that encourages women to be beautiful and friendly, and discourages women from being ugly, glaring, and scowling.
Dickinson might need to have a strip bar, just so men can see what women are supposed to look like, maybe they have never seen one, or they have forgotten what they look like.
Dickinson needs to have a good Italian restaurant.

I wouldn’t go out in Dickinson, North Dakota at night, on a dare, or if you paid me. My experiences living in Dickinson for nearly six years have taught me that you do not go out at night in Dickinson.

I have had so many bad experiences going out in Dickinson at night, even just to get something to eat, go to the grocery store or WalMart, that I know not to do it. From what I see, 95% of everyone else in Dickinson feels the same way, they won’t go out at night in Dickinson.

The number one reason or cause for people not wanting to go out at night in Dickinson, is the City of Dickinson Police. The City of Dickinson Police have been so aggressive in scrutinizing, surveilling, stalking, following, tail gaiting, stopping, and questioning people at night in Dickinson, even when they are just going to the grocery store or WalMart, that people don’t even want to leave their homes at night.

If you aren’t doing anything wrong, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about? No, that’s not how it works. The City of Dickinson Police want to find something to charge you with, so they will ask you questions about what you are doing, where you are going, have you had any alcohol to drink, do you have any weapons in your vehicle, and more. You are going to have to explain yourself to their satisfaction, while they try to find something wrong with your driver’s license, registration, proof of insurance, vehicle, vehicle contents, your activities, your attitude, and other things.

The City of Dickinson Police have gotten people so conditioned to being scrutinized, followed, and stopped at night, that fewer, and fewer, and fewer people go out at night, to the point that Villard Street, the main thoroughfare through town, is just about completely vacant.

Because the streets in Dickinson are so completely vacant at night, when a vehicle does enter a street at night, the Dickinson Police automatically assume that this person must be a law-breaker and up to no good, because no one is supposed to be out at night, no one is allowed out at night.

The second most common reason why people do not go out in Dickinson at night, is why would you? If you went to the drive through of Arby’s, Wendy’s, or Taco Bell in Dickinson, the food and the service that you get, would be equal to what you would find anywhere else in the United States. And this is about as good as it gets for dining in Dickinson. For something better than fast food, you could order take-out from Upin Thai.

But going inside a fast food restaurant in Dickinson at night, or any restaurant in Dickinson at night, you are most likely going to find blue collar male workers from the oil field or construction. If you have worked in Dickinson for two years, three years, six years, all day, every day with blue collar male workers, do you want to spend any more time with them?

I will say, that at the fast food restaurants in Dickinson, there are some young girls who work there, who are nice, cute, attractive, silly, funny, and entertaining, but you can’t or shouldn’t bother them too much while they are working.

If you go to a sit down restaurant in Dickinson with waitresses, if you are a normal adult who has lived in Dickinson for a few years, you know from experience that these waitresses are from Coeur D’Alene, Seattle, or Spokane. They and their boyfriend were drug addicts who could not get a job or keep a job where they were living, so they came to Dickinson. They are shitty, callous, jaded human beings, who just want to get high on meth or heroin. Knowing this, would you want to go out to eat at restaurant in Dickinson, or would you rather stay home?

Nika Banana, She Is Everything You Said You Wanted

During the past three months, I have watched some YouTube videos made by a woman in her late twenties, who is currently using the name “Nika Banana”. Not long ago, she made YouTube videos using the name “Nika Vegan”, but YouTube censored these videos.

I like Nika, she is everything that men said they wanted. She has a pretty face, pretty eyes, pretty hair, and a beautiful perfect feminine body. She exercises every day, has hardly any body fat, is strong and in-shape. She is full of energy, ready to go anywhere, and ready to do anything. She is direct, says what is on her mind, and she means what she says. Everything that she says and does, is based on logic and reasoning.

Nika was in the U.S. military overseas for at least four years. She is a medical lab technician. According to her, she saved much of her income while in the military, and once she left the military and began working in hospitals, she continued to save most of her income, because she spends very little money. If you watch her videos, Nika has a plain apartment, and she does not buy, use, or wear expensive things.

So Nika is young, beautiful, healthy, strong, full of energy, direct, logical, self-supporting, non-materialistic, and….she really likes sex. Isn’t this everything that men ever said they wanted in a woman?

In Nika’s YouTube videos, she talks about her daily routine, exercising, diet, and work. She also talks about sex, and how much she likes having sex. She answers viewers’ questions about herself, and about sex.

What men like about Nika at first, is that she is beautiful, direct, logical, open, not bashful, and truthful about her interest in sex, and her sexual experiences. However, it appears that about 20% to 40% of men, soon begin to vilify, insult, and attack Nika for the very things that men said they always wanted in a woman.

My honest opinion and impression of Nika, is that if you were polite, decent, and respectful to Nika, got to know her, and you were in reasonable health and physical condition, if you asked Nika nicely, she would probably agree to have sex with you, just for the fun of having sex. However, once Nika has explained her openness about sex, men then begin to insult her and attack her for this.

In most of the comment sections of Nika’s YouTube videos, some men will leave comments like, “This bitch is crazy”, “What a whore”, “This girl has something wrong with her”, “You would be likely to catch a disease from her”, or worse things than this.

Even though Nika is strong, logical, and tough, these comments get to her. She doesn’t understand why men want to attack her for being honest about what she likes, and her experiences. I think that I understand these attacking comments better than she does.

Apparently, and this has been going on for a long time, some men can’t stand women expressing an interest and desire for sex. Just think about the stoning of women in Biblical times, the Witch Trials during the colonization of New England, and currently the Honor Killings of women in Muslim countries.

The worst way to handle the sexuality of women, is to force them to hide it, or punish them for it. This is what really causes problems in any society. If you allow women to be open about their sexuality and express what they want, then you have a better chance of everyone getting along.

So some of the nasty, mean comments that Nika receives, are because some men can not handle women being open about and expressing their sexuality.

The other thing that is causing some men to write nasty, mean, insulting, belittling comments to Nika, is that some men are abusive. Their intention may not be to disagree with Nika, or express a different belief, they just want to try to hurt her, and make her feel bad.

I wish that Nika would see, that most of what she is doing and saying, is everything that men ever said they wanted from women, and how absurd it is that once men got what they wanted, they began to insult her for it, and attack her for it.

The Baffling Mystery Of Odyssey Theaters In Downtown Dickinson, North Dakota

What Odyssey Theaters is doing in downtown Dickinson, North Dakota, is a baffling mystery to me. I have so many questions, I hardly know where to begin.

There is a shortage of parking in downtown Dickinson. The paved parking lot behind the Post Office, which is also across the street from City Hall, which is also behind the Lilly Pad Apartment building, is always full, and is greatly needed.

The only way that this area of downtown Dickinson functions, with people going to the Post Office, City Hall, Lilly Pad Apartment Building, the Eagles Lodge, the Senior Citizens Center, Bernie’s Esquire Club, and other businesses, is because of this large paved parking lot.

It was insanity, for the City of Dickinson to sell this parking lot to Odyssey Theaters to build an eight-screen movie theater complex. Where are the customers of the Post Office, City Hall, Lilly Pad Building, the Eagles Lodge, the Senior Citizens Center, Bernie’s Esquire Club, and other businesses supposed to park now? Or, where are the customers of this Odyssey Theater complex supposed to park?

This whole downtown area of Dickinson, which is a mix of businesses, apartments, and homes, already has most of the on-street parking spaces taken up, even with the existence of this large paved parking lot. Once this large paved parking lot is gone, where is everyone going to park? How could the City of Dickinson, or Odyssey Theaters envision people parking three or four blocks away, taking up the on-street parking spaces of apartment residents and home residents, and this whole thing not being a disaster for everyone, the City, Odyssey Theaters, downtown businesses, downtown residents, and customers?

Another facet of this, which is puzzling to me, besides the shortage of parking, is the character of this neighborhood not being suitable for an eight-screen movie theater complex. To begin with, this area of Dickinson is not modern, glamorous, fashionable, up-scale, metropolitan, and it has some accessibility problems.

For instance, many of the apartment buildings and homes in this neighborhood are old and not in the best condition. These apartment buildings and homes are low rent, with unkempt yards, untrimmed trees, broken sidewalks, and old beat up cars. I live in one of these downtown neighborhoods, and there is theft, vandalism, and drug activity. Why in the world, would Odyssey Theaters think that people with money would want to park their $50,000 truck, Cadillac Escalade, or Lexus in a neighborhood like this, at night, in the dark, and walk four blocks to a movie theater?

In this downtown neighborhood in Dickinson, the people within walking distance of this proposed movie theater complex, very few of them will use this movie theater complex. Most of the people in this neighborhood don’t have an interest in this sort of thing, some are elderly, some are worn out from their job, some don’t go out at night, and some don’t have the money for it.

There are some younger middle-class families with children in Dickinson that would like to go out to the movies. However, middle-class moms from better neighborhoods are not going to like having to park on the street, in the dark at night, in this old neighborhood, and walk several blocks to this movie theater complex.

Here is why movie theater complexes work well at shopping malls and shopping centers, but less well in an old downtown neighborhood:

Malls and shopping centers have very large paved parking lots which are clean, well lighted, with good visibility, where families can get everyone unloaded from the vehicle in a safe manner, and get organized. In an old downtown neighborhood with on-street parking, the lighting is not as good, you and others are not as visible, street traffic is passing directly beside you, your vehicle unloading and walk has more obstructions.

Malls and shopping centers are usually surrounded by family restaurants and fast food restaurants. In an old downtown neighborhood, there may not be any family restaurants or fast food restaurants, which is the case in this downtown location in Dickinson.

Malls and shopping centers allow patrons to get inside out of the weather, and then go do other things before or after the movie, such as try different food vendors, shop for clothes, jewelry, electronics, toys, etcetera. With a stand-alone movie theater complex in an old downtown neighborhood, there might not be any other food vendors, or retail shops open after 6:00 p.m., which is the case in this downtown location in Dickinson.

From what I have seen in Dickinson, virtually everyone over 50 years old does not like to go out at night after 6:00 p.m., for any reason whatsoever, they want to be home. They do not even go out to dinner after 6:00 p.m. The people in Dickinson between 40 to 50 years old try to make it home by 7:00 p.m.

The people in Dickinson between the ages of 30 to 40 who are married, they like to be home by 7:00 p.m., and then they are home for the night.

The single people in Dickinson under 40 years old, and the married people under 30 years old, some of them stay out late, going to bars and restaurants, or socializing. However, I think that many of these people who do go out at night in Dickinson, don’t have much interest in going to movies, they want to eat, drink alcohol, and smoke.

With cable television, satellite television, Netflix, and the internet, I don’t think that many people in Dickinson have an interest in going to a movie theater, they would rather be at home. Because of the weather in North Dakota, people living far out in rural areas, and North Dakotans liking to drink and smoke, I think that they prefer to stay home and not go to movie theaters.

There are just a few younger middle-class and lower middle-class families that would enjoy going to see movies at a movie theater in Dickinson, but with it being located in the old downtown neighborhood in Dickinson, this is not very appealing or convenient for them.

I don’t know why no one from Odyssey Theaters saw the things that I have pointed out. I am interested to see what happens. I do not think that they will have very many customers after the first few months of operation in Dickinson.

The Nicest Girl That I Have Ever Met

About six weeks ago in Dickinson, North Dakota, I stopped at a business that I have been going to for the past five years. This time, there was young lady working there, who I had never met or seen before. She was so friendly and nice to me, that I couldn’t believe this was happening.

I said to her, “You are so nice and friendly, that you must not be from Dickinson, where are you from?” She said, “Dickinson, I am from Dickinson, but I know what you mean.”

She continued to smile, smirk, and act silly a little bit. I liked her very much. In order to not be rude, too forward, or inappropriate, I asked her just one more question, which I don’t even remember what I asked her, but her answer was that she was going away to school in August, and she told me where.

I would have liked to have asked her one hundred questions. I mostly wanted to know how and why I had never met her, seen her, or heard about her before. I had so many thoughts in my head, I wished that I would have met her a long time ago.

Even just seeing her and talking to her briefly every few days, and looking forward to seeing her, would have cheered me up very much. Living in Dickinson, for me, is like being in prison. The people in Dickinson are so mean, nasty, unfriendly, uncooperative, unhelpful, scheming, and undermining. The women in Dickinson, are fat, overweight, unattractive, glaring, scowling, sneering, snarling, and leering.

I couldn’t believe that this young lady was from Dickinson, but anomalies like this happen sometimes, like Marinna Marsh for instance. Like Marinna, who is married, I thought that it would be best for me to stay away from this nice, friendly, attractive young lady. I didn’t want to bother her, make her unhappy, or make her uncomfortable.

I deliberately tried to stay away from this business, because I didn’t want to see this young lady again. It would be too much for me, being reminded that there is someone like this not far away, but that I couldn’t go see her, for so many reasons. As much as I liked her, I would probably never be able to have a relationship with her, of any kind, because I am nearly 50 years old.

I don’t feel like I am 50. It is like I don’t know. I feel more like I am about 8, or 20, I don’t know. I do feel more tired than I have ever felt before, more weak, and I have more health problems, which make me feel like I am going to die soon, so I must be old.

On Monday, August 27, I had to go to this business again, and I thought that this young lady would be away at school by now, that she wouldn’t be there. She was there, acting as silly, nice, and friendly as ever. I was trying not to smirk or smile the slightest bit, but I was failing, and she started to smile, so I tried not to look at her. I told her that I remembered talking to her before, and I asked her one question. She answered, then scooted away.

I would have liked to have asked her, what her name was. I would have liked to have been able to say more to her. I wished that I would have met her sooner, I wished that she was not leaving. I hoped that I didn’t make her uncomfortable. I really had not expected her to be there. I didn’t get the chance to say anything else to her, which was for the best, because it probably would have made her irritated or angry, I thought.

After I left, I tried to put myself in her position, to try to understand how she perceives things, what she wants, and what she thinks. I vowed that I would not go back to this business until she was gone. She told me that she was leaving Friday.

On Tuesday, I knew all day long that I was not going back to this business, that is what I promised, right? I intentionally went to another business, to make sure not to go anywhere near her. But, at this other business, there was an unexpected problem, where I could not get what I came there for. I said to myself, “Fuck it, I am just going to go there, even if it makes her mad. I will just get yelled at for bothering her, and I won’t say anything as I am waiting for the thing that I came for, that would just make everything worse.”

When I walked in, she was there, and she greeted me by name very happily and friendly, as if she was glad to see me, and was expecting me. I just said, hello, and I didn’t ask any questions of her. She continued to be very friendly, nice, smiling, and silly acting with me for a little bit, and then she went away. I learned her name, and then everything made more sense for me.

Two years ago, I wrote a series of three blog posts titled, “Bohemians, Romanians, Gypsies, and Reincarnation in Dickinson, North Dakota”. What had been the main inspiration for me to write these three blog posts two years ago, was this young lady’s relative, named “Emily”.

Though I never mentioned “Emily” by name in these three blog posts about “Bohemians”, Emily was one of the main causes for me to look up, read, and learn about the Bohemians that settled near Dickinson, North Dakota in the late 1800s. Unlike everybody else in Dickinson, Emily was always very nice and friendly to me. Emily was attractive, fun, funny, affectionate, and outgoing, and was nice to almost everyone, including people who were not from Dickinson.

I did mention in these three blog posts from two years ago about Bohemians, that Emily did have a very unusual last name which is found no where else in the United States, and that I wished I could tell it, it was so unique. I will tell it now, it is “Zastoupil”, and this young lady that I am writing about in this blog post, has this same last name. Yup, she is Bohemian, just like Emily, and Marinna Marsh.

I am not going to look at her Facebook page until she gets settled into her Fall semester at school, so that she isn’t too stressed out when she sees notification that I looked at her Facebook page. But I did look at her Twitter tweets, which answer about fifty of the questions that I had wanted to ask her.

Miss North Dakota Organization Backs Cara Mund

Earlier today I wrote a blog post article about Miss America 2018 Cara Mund, and her protest of how she has been treated by Miss America chairwoman Gretchen Carlson and Miss America CEO Regina Hopper.

I was shocked, angered, and disgusted at the treatment of Cara Mund by chairwoman Gretchen Carlson and CEO Regina Hopper, who both decided on their own that Cara Mund was not smart enough to speak on behalf of the Miss America organization or women’s issues. Eight months ago, the two of them began trying to push Cara Mund aside, shrinking and diminishing her role more and more, in an attempt to silence her.

I am sorry that Cara Mund’s year of being Miss America has been ruined by Gretchen Carlson and Regina Hopper, which should have been filled with endless opportunities to travel, speak, do interviews, meet people, and interact with people to bring attention to the Miss America organization, women’s issues, and other social causes.

In order to correct this situation with the injustice that has been done to Cara Mund, and the Miss America organization being taken in the wrong direction by Gretchen Carlson and Regina Hopper, I suggest that Cara Mund replace Gretchen Carlson as chairwoman of Miss America.

Later today, I saw an article in the Bismarck Tribune newspaper where it said that the Miss North Dakota organization almost immediately came out in complete support of Cara Mund, backing her up in her complaint against chairwoman Gretchen Carlson and CEO Regina Hopper.

This Bismarck Tribune newspaper article is very good, not only is the Miss North Dakota organization supporting and backing up Cara Mund, it is in agreement with Cara Mund’s allegations, and was aware of Cara Mund’s mistreatment for some time. Maybe Cara Mund Should Replace Gretchen Carlson As Chairwoman Of Miss America

I began reading and learning about the Miss North Dakota USA pageant after meeting Codi Miller in the summer of 2014. I liked Codi, and I wanted to learn more about her, so I looked her up on the internet and I saw that she was Miss North Dakota Teen USA in 2009, Miss North Dakota Rodeo in 2014, and that she was competing in the Miss North Dakota USA pageant.

Up until that time, I didn’t know that Miss America and Miss America USA were two entirely different pageant organizations, until people began fervently correcting me when I used these titles incorrectly. I didn’t like beauty pageants, at the time I thought that they were detrimental and damaging to women. I wished that Codi would not compete in these pageants, and I couldn’t understand why she did it.

Prior to the Miss North Dakota USA pageant in November, I saw a few press releases and Facebook posts about who the contestants were. Though I didn’t want Codi to win because I wished that she would stop, after seeing her most recent photographs I thought that most certainly she would win. I was astonished when she didn’t win, and I was angry about it. I believed that there were politics and other things involved in the judging, unrelated to who was the most beautiful.

But Codi was very gracious about it, poised, and composed. She and her family never showed or expressed any anger or bitterness about it, and she tried again next year. There were many things that I began to understand and realize.

These pageants are a huge investment of time, effort, work, energy, and money, not just from the contestants, but from their mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, friends, and sponsors. For each contestant, there are personal trainers, nutritionists, aestheticians, hair stylists, photographers, clothing retailers, jewelry retailers, and sponsors that put in a great deal of time, effort, work, energy, and money.

Each of the pageant contestants has so much at stake for themselves personally. Doing well in each phase of the competition can lead to an overall win, and continuing on to the national pageant, or placing as runner-up, or other recognition. But in addition to what is at stake for these contestants personally, they don’t want to disappoint their family, friends, supporters, and sponsors either.

Something else that I realized, was that the pageant contestants couldn’t begin preparing months in advance, they had to live many years of their lives getting ready for these pageants. For instance, as teenagers, these young women could not get into any trouble at school, could not get into trouble in the community, could not send offensive text messages, could not post anything controversial on Facebook, could not join a dating website, had to be careful about what photographs were taken of them, and could not do a lot of things that other teenagers do, such as date very many boys, get drunk at parties, experiment with alcohol, sex, drugs, or driving fast.

Any women who wish to participate in beauty pageants, everything about them, and everything they have ever done, will be scrutinized. So in addition to being “perfect” in the pageant, they had to be “perfect” for years and years prior to the pageant. So, it takes years and years of work and effort to be a contestant in a beauty pageant.

In February of 2018, a friend of mine who was involved in making arrangements for the Rodeo in Grassy Butte, North Dakota, which is a charity fundraiser for the Home On The Range Orphanage, asked me if I would like to work with Codi Miller and Miss America 2018 Cara Mund. I said that I didn’t know if this was a good idea, I had written several articles about Codi, and I thought that Codi might not like this, he had better ask Codi first.

In thinking about this, what was funny to me, was that Miss America Cara Mund and her assistant would probably be expecting and assuming that I would be starstruck by Cara and be a nuisance to her, but they would be taken aback and puzzled when I paid more attention to Codi. Upon hearing an explanation for this, it would be a relief to Cara, and funny to her, but tremendously irritating to Codi.

I knew that I would have to be on my absolute best behavior in order to not annoy or anger Cara Mund, Cara’s assistant, and Codi. When I began reading about Cara Mund, and I saw that she graduated from Brown University, I thought there is no way that this is going to work, there is going to be an argument right away, and all three of them are going to gang up against me. Apparently, my employer thought the same thing, that surely I would get Cara Mund and Codi mad at me, so he wouldn’t allow me to work with them.

Because Brown University is an Ivy League school, which are notorious for producing head-strong, opinionated, liberal, know-it-all women, I could see Cara reading one of my blog post articles after a discussion with Codi, and then all three of them planning for the right time to corner me and attack me together for writing that shit about women.

Still, it might be nice to be attacked by Cara Mund and Codi Miller for a change, I thought. Maybe I should just let them go on a tirade against me for about five minutes to get it out of their system, and then it would be over. I tried to read some more about Cara Mund, and I couldn’t find very much information on her. I did see that there was some criticism of her for not being very visible or available during her time as Miss America 2018.

When it became closer to the Grassy Butte Home On The Range Rodeo in August, and completely clear that my employer was not going to allow me to work with Cara Mund and Codi Miller, and I no longer had to worry about getting into an argument with Cara or Codi, I went ahead and wrote a blog post article about the Miss America pageant discontinuing the swimsuit phase of the competition, due to Gretchen Carlson becoming chairwoman.

In June of 2018, Gretchen Carlson announced that the Miss America pageant will no longer have pageant contestants being judged wearing swimsuits. In a CNN interview, Gretchen Carlson made the following comments, “We will no longer judge our candidates on their outward physical appearance. That’s huge.” Carlson also said the new Miss America competition will be more inclusive to women of “all shapes and sizes.”

Before I spent more time learning about the Miss America pageants and the Miss America USA pageants, I believed that these pageants were detrimental, damaging, degrading, and humiliating to women. But once you understand how much time, energy, effort, work, and preparation is involved, from not only the contestants, but their family, friends, supporters, and sponsors, you would see that it is not detrimental, damaging, degrading, and humiliating, it is mostly a lot of hard work.

In the blog post article that I wrote in late July about the swimsuit phase of the competition being discontinued, I used some analogies comparing Beauty Pageants to sporting competitions or academic performance and scholarships. We wouldn’t try to handicap or penalize tall people for being better at running and jumping than short people. We wouldn’t try to handicap or penalize short people for being better at wrestling or weightlifting than tall people. Why would we try to handicap or penalize attractive, healthy, in-shape, physically fit women in a Beauty Pageant to make things more fair for fat, overweight, out-of-shape, unhealthy women?

Continuing to compare Beauty Pageants to sporting competitions or academic performance, in athletics and academics, some people are naturally gifted, and some people have to work much harder. In athletics and academics, everyone begins with completely different abilities, some with more aptitude and ability than others. In sports, academics, or Beauty Pageants, everyone starts out with different and unequal abilities and natural gifts, some people will have to work much harder than others in order to compete and be successful.

In state and national Beauty Pageants, the competitors have both natural beauty and they have put in a lot of work. Some women have had to exercise more, train more, change their diet, pay more attention to nutrition, improve their posture, change the way they sit, stand, or walk, improve their vocabulary, become a better speaker, organize their thoughts and what they say better, learn to be more outgoing and less introverted, pay more attention to news and world events, be more observant of what other people think and feel, take more interest in what other people have to say, or be more confident. Each of the women competitors have had to work hard at various things, that may come more naturally to other women competitors.

Once you stop and think about it, this is crazy and insane, that Gretchen Carlson would like to remove the swimsuit competition from the Miss America Pageant, in order to make things more fair for the fat, overweight, out-of-shape, unhealthy competitors, penalizing and handicapping the naturally beautiful and hard working competitors.

In the third week of August 2018, Cara Mund released a six page letter protesting her treatment by Miss America chairwoman Gretchen Carlson and Miss America CEO Regina Hopper. I was shocked that Cara had to write such a letter, and by the way that she was treated which she described in her letter.

Before I summarize what happened to Cara, I want to emphasize how Cara should have been treated after being crowned Miss America 2018:

Cara should have been treated with the utmost respect, courtesy, and cooperation by the Miss America organization.
Cara should have been kept informed by the Miss America organization of all possible speaking engagements, events, interviews, and opportunities to speak on behalf of Miss America, young women, and social causes.
The Miss America organization should have sought out every opportunity and outlet for Cara to speak on behalf of the Miss America organization and young women’s issues.
The Miss America organization should have maintained weekly professional communication with Cara regarding her schedule, opportunities, possibilities, and happenings within the organization to keep her informed, and to try to maximize the success of Cara and the organization.

It is shocking, upsetting, and disgusting to me the way that Cara Mund was treated by the Miss America organization. What should have been one of the best years of this young 23 year old’s life, was instead ruined and taken away by Gretchen Carlson and Regina Hopper. This is how Cara was treated by the Miss America organization:

Though the Miss America pageant judged and vetted all of the contestants in the state pageants to select a winner from each state, and then judged and vetted all of these state pageant winners to choose Miss America, which was Cara, Gretchen Carlson and Regina Hopper then later decided that Cara Mund was not fit, good enough, or smart enough to speak on behalf of the Miss America organization or on young women’s issues.
The Miss America organization began to not inform Cara of any speaking engagements or interview opportunities, and instead Gretchen Carlson began personally trying to take the place of Cara at any speaking engagement or interview opportunity.
The Miss America organization began to try to take steps to make it appear that Cara was not available for speaking engagements or interview opportunities, and began characterizing Cara as being unreliable.

In this letter, Cara Mund points out that she is not stupid, she graduated with honors from Brown University with a degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, and Organizations. Her senior year thesis was on the Miss America organization. She worked for Senator John Hoeven in Washington D.C., and a public relations company in New York.

During Cara’s year as Miss America, it was pretty much ruined by chairwoman Gretchen Carlson and CEO Regina Hopper, who treated Cara like she wasn’t smart enough or knowledgeable enough to speak at important events or interviews. This is the exact opposite of what the Miss America organization is supposed to do. This organization is supposed to empower young women and give them every opportunity to speak about issues concerning young women.

Since Cara’s year as Miss America was ruined, and she was not given the chance to speak on behalf of the Miss America organization or advocate for young women, I think that a good way to fix everything all at once, would be to replace chairwoman Gretchen Carlson with Cara Mund.

Gretchen Carlson is not suitable to lead the Miss America organization as shown by her mistreatment of Cara, and the direction that she wants to take the pageant, to no longer focus on “physical beauty”.

Cara is able to relate completely to what new Miss America contestants will experience, and how they should be treated. I think that Cara is qualified to lead the Miss America organization, that she deserves the chance to be heard and advocate for young women, and that this whole situation can be turned into something that will be inspirational and positive for young women.

Wolverine Not Far From Dickinson, North Dakota

Today is August 16, 2018. I want to document several up-close Wolverine sightings not far from Dickinson, North Dakota, occurring over the past several days.

The reason why I want to document these recent up-close sightings in North Dakota, is to bring awareness, because it is believed that there have not been any Wolverine in North Dakota for over 150 years.

On April 24, 2016, a ranch hand working near Alexander, North Dakota shot and killed what was confirmed to be a Wolverine. At the time, this was the first confirmed Wolverine sighting in North Dakota since the 1850s. For the past several nights, a friend of mine has watched a Wolverine, which he believes to be a male. He has watched it from as close as twenty-five feet, for three minutes.

Upon discussing his recent sightings, another friend of ours, has seen this Wolverine a couple of times in the past several years at this same location.

This group of people who have seen this Wolverine in this location, have no intention of harming this Wolverine. A couple of these people have kept their mouth shut about it for several years, thinking this was the best way to handle it. This probably is the best way to handle it, because this Wolverine appears to be comfortable and confident where he is living, no one bothers him.

I am not going to disclose the location, or any of the people involved, because I think that this is the best way to handle it for the well-being of this Wolverine. I only want to document this for the sake of making people aware about the existence of Wolverines in North Dakota.

Review Of J&J Chinese Delivery In Dickinson, North Dakota

Whoa! I am going to have to completely change my review of J&J Chinese Delivery to DO NOT USE!

Last week, I was looking through something that I received in the mail titled, “The Local Business Guide Directory”, produced by the Dickinson Press. Towards the end of this advertisement booklet was a small ad for “J&J Chinese Delivery”.

I was aware that there had been a restaurant on Main Street in Belfield called the “J&J Chinese Cafe”, but this restaurant had closed down about a year ago. I felt bad for the owner of this restaurant, the food was good, but there were just not enough customers in the town of Belfield.

I had not known that the owner of the J&J Chinese Cafe had moved to Dickinson, and was now offering Chinese food for delivery only.

I looked up J&J Chinese Delivery on the internet, and there were listings for it in Dickinson. I clicked on the Facebook page of J&J Chinese Delivery, if you look through their photographs, they have three photographs of their menu items with prices. As you are about to read, Their Prices Are Not What They Say They Are!

I called J&J Chinese Delivery, and asked if they had “Beef with Chinese Vegetables”, they said they did, and it was $9.99. I said that I wanted to come and pick it up, they told me that I could not pick it up, they had to deliver it. I asked how much for delivery, they said $2.00.

My food was delivered in about twenty minutes. Though I got “Beef with Broccoli”, not “Beef with Chinese Vegetables”.

Warning!: I have to absolutely give this warning, because of both my first order, and my second order a few days later.

When my first order was delivered, the charge was a little over $12 including tax and delivery. I had a $20 bill ready for when the delivery person came. I planned on giving the delivery person $3.00 extra, but he said, “I don’t have my change bag with me.” So I ended up only getting back $3 from my $20 bill, paying $17 for my $9.99 order. If you are old enough to know, this is a common scheme used by delivery people, taxi drivers, etcetera “I don’t have change for a $20 bill”.

Remember, I wanted to go and pick up my order, but they told me that this was not allowed.

Two days later, I placed an order for Szechuan Beef, which their menu says is $9.99. I asked how much my order would be on the telephone when I placed my order, and I was told $15.17. When the delivery person arrived, they asked for $17.17.

Today, when I telephoned to place an order, I asked about their prices, and why they are not what they say they are, and at first I did not get a straight answer. Then, the person at J&J Chinese Delivery told me that their delivery charge is now $5.00.

Fuck J&J Chinese Delivery! I don’t mind paying a $2.00 delivery charge which is enough for a business to pay a delivery driver about $10 per hour, and then giving the driver another $3.00 to boost their income so that they can make money in what they are doing.

A delivery driver should be able to make at least five deliveries per hour, so they should be able to make $25 per hour with an hourly pay plus tips from the customer. But what I suspect that J&J Chinese Delivery is doing, is trying to make money by not allowing customers to come and pick up their food, and charging $5.00 for each delivery, which I do not believe is all going to the delivery person.

In any case, Fuck J&J Chinese Delivery. The very first thing that I am going to do tomorrow, is call the City of Dickinson Health Department, Restaurant Licensing, Business Licensing, and City Zoning to complain about J&J Chinese Delivery operating out of a location that may not have been inspected, permitted, licensed, or zoned for this.

I can not stand dishonest, scheming, lying , treacherous people, especially if they are immigrants who receive abundant generosity when they are allowed into our country, and then they turn around and try to rip people off.

What do I mean, rip people off? The King Buffet Chinese Restaurant in Dickinson probably has to pay at least several thousand dollars per month for rent in the T-Rex Shopping Center. On top of that, the King Buffet Chinese Restaurant has to pay $1,000 to $2,000 per month in utilities. Then pay employee wages, plus pay more money for employee payroll taxes for workers compensation and social security. Also pay sales tax, business license, property insurance, liability insurance, and bare all the costs for tables, chairs, utensils, plates, bowls, cups, and glassware.

At the King Buffet Chinese Restaurant, it is all you can eat, and you can have the hibachi chef cook in front of you, whatever raw meat and vegetables you want. With a drink included, this costs about $13.00.

So to me, it is treachery, scheming, underhandedness, and dishonesty that J&J Chinese Delivery that doesn’t operate out of a restaurant, is going to advertise many menu items for $9.99, but it ends up costing you $17, when J&J Chinese Delivery doesn’t have high rent for a commercial space sit-down restaurant, high utility bills for a commercial space sit-down restaurant, have to pay for property insurance, liability insurance, tables, chairs, utensils, plates, bowls, cups, glassware, waiters, table clearers, dishwahsers, and payroll taxes on these employees. But they try to charge you more than a local restaurant which has way, way more costs to bare.

My Blog Posts About Crime In Dickinson, North Dakota Are Being Suppressed

I have been writing blog posts about Dickinson, North Dakota for over three years. I have never seen any of my blog posts deliberately pushed down in the Google search results more than my blog posts about crime in Dickinson, North Dakota.

When I have written articles about Real Estate in Dickinson, North Dakota, initially each of these articles appeared near the top of the Google search results for “Real Estate in Dickinson”. I then saw that each of these articles gradually got pushed down in the Google search results further and further over time. I knew the reason why.

There are about twenty to thirty real estate agents in Dickinson, who are always trying to get their name, their company name, or their listings near the top of the Google search results. They do this by personally doing a Google search for “Real Estate in Dickinson”, and then clicking their own website, again, and again, and again.

Likewise, when I have written articles about the Catholic Church in Dickinson that were highly critical, these articles initially appeared near the top of the Google search results. Later, I could sometimes see that actions were taken to try to hide these articles. Catholic Church members and volunteers, would perform a Google search for “Catholic Church in Dickinson” and then click on more favorable articles or websites, again, and again, and again.

In one instance, I think that an optimization company was hired by the Catholic Church or a church member to try to bury one of my blog posts about the Catholic Church. The reason why I think this, is because this article was at the top of the first page of Google search results for seven to eight months, and within the course of two days, this article was pushed back to page eight of Google search results.

I can understand why real estate agents in Dickinson want to get their name, their company name, or their listings at the top of the Google search results. I can understand why the Catholic Church or Catholics want to bury my blog posts that are critical of the Catholic Church. But who is it that is trying to hide my blog posts about crime in Dickinson? Who doesn’t want my blog posts about crime in Dickinson to be found and read?

I wrote my blog posts about crime in Dickinson, North Dakota, to let people know, to warn people, to alert people, to help people understand about the crime in Dickinson. Prior to this most recent oil boom that began in North Dakota in 2007, the crime in western North Dakota was much lower than most places in the United States. Beginning in about 2016, the crime in Dickinson became higher than many places in the United States.

Prior to the oil boom in 2007, in western North Dakota you could leave utility trailers unlocked, flat bed trailers unlocked, travel trailers unlocked, vehicles unlocked, tool boxes unlocked, houses unlocked, apartments unlocked, garages open, and leave keys in vehicles, and expect nothing to be taken. Now, it is the opposite, anything left out, open, or not locked down, you should expect it to be taken.

There are several reasons why the crime is so high in Dickinson now. The very experienced equipment operators, welders, mechanics, and skilled trades people who came to Dickinson during the oil boom, they left and went elsewhere when the oil boom ended. The very experienced and skilled trades people could get a job anywhere, they weren’t stuck in Dickinson, they could leave.

During the oil boom, there were many people who came to Dickinson who were not experienced workers or skilled trades people. Many of these people came to Dickinson because they kept hearing on television that, “Everyone was making over $100,000 per year in North Dakota”. These people did not have employment or good employment where they were living, they might have been involved in crime and drug activity where they were living, and they came to Dickinson with no money and with the expectation of making a lot of money in Dickinson, like they heard about on television.

When these financially broke, inexperienced, low-skilled, no-skilled people arrived in Dickinson, they found that they could not get a high paying job because they did not have a high school diploma, did not have a commercial driver’s license, had a criminal record, or had no work history. They could not get a high paying job, but they looked around and saw other people making money, people with $60,000 trucks, $20,000 Harley Davidsons, jet skis, four wheelers, side-by-side buggies. They saw people in Dickinson leaving their homes, apartments, vehicles, equipment, tools, and personal property unlocked.

The financially broke, inexperienced, low-skilled, no-skilled, no high school diploma, criminal record, no work history people remained in Dickinson and began stealing property and selling drugs. When the oil boom ended, they stayed in Dickinson, they had no where else to go.

Not only did North Dakota attract these inexperienced, low-skilled, no-skilled people during the oil boom, even to this day in 2018, careless, unthinking, irresponsible individuals in business, politics, and government continue to make announcements in high-unemployment, high-crime areas like Seattle and Spokane, that North Dakota has an over abundance of jobs, and shortage of workers.

It would be reasonable to advertise for commercial truck drivers, experienced welders, experienced mechanics, or experienced electricians if this is what occupations are in demand, but it is wrong to keep luring inexperienced, low-skilled, no-skilled people to North Dakota by stating that there are an abundance of jobs, when there are very few job openings for people who are not skilled tradespeople.

I don’t know why some North Dakotans in business, politics, and government keep trying to lure people to North Dakota from high-unemployment, high-crime areas. I don’t know if it is these same people who are trying to hide my blog posts about crime in Dickinson, or if it is members of law enforcement and politicians in Dickinson that don’t want the high amount of crime to be publicized.

Miss America Pageant Discontinuing Swimsuit Competition

In June of 2018, the Miss America Pageant Organization announced that they will be discontinuing the swimsuit competition phase of their pageants.

This was shocking, puzzling, upsetting, and ridiculous to me when I read this, which I will explain why in a moment. But when I read that Gretchen Carlson had recently become chairwoman of the Miss America Organization, I thought, “Ah ha, that explains that, that stupid bitch Gretchen Carlson is behind this.”

I don’t watch the Miss America Pageants or the Miss America USA Pageants, I don’t like them, at all. These pageants get on my nerves and make me uncomfortable more than just about anything else that I can think of. Yes, these young women are beautiful, but I don’t enjoy seeing them scrutinized, judged, and questioned.

I do recognize that these pageants are important for women. The local Miss America Pageants and the Miss America USA Pageants held in each state, give some women the opportunity to try to improve and advance themselves. They learn how to get in good physical shape, how to carry themselves, how to conduct themselves, how to speak, how to respond in interviews, how to dress in evening gowns and swimsuits, what colors, designs, and clothes look best on them.

The young women who compete in the state pageants get publicity, attention, and experience that can help them in their career and lead them to other opportunities. If they become Miss North Dakota or Miss North Dakota USA, this can help them in allowing them to get better or more prestigious employment, with higher pay, than they would have gotten without being famous. Even just being a contestant in a state pageant and being known for that, helps young women receive more attention, recognition, and more social and employment opportunities.

Having just acknowledged that I understand some of the many benefits that pageant competitions offer women contestants, I will explain why I don’t like watching beauty pageants.

I don’t think that young women should have to parade themselves around in swimsuits, or evening gowns, or be required to answer questions. These young women have put so much work into preparing for these pageants, so much is at stake for them personally in these pageants, that they are frightened and nervous. I feel uncomfortable and anxious watching their nervousness, fear, awkwardness, or mis-steps. I don’t want to watch this, I don’t like it.

But I don’t like horse races, horse jumping, or rodeo either. I feel like, leave the fucking horses and cows alone, don’t put these animals through this.

Just because I don’t like a show of young, nervous women being questioned, being dressed in revealing evening gowns or swimsuits, like some kind of a slave sale, doesn’t mean that I have the right to stop it or call a halt to it because I think that it is humiliating, embarrassing, and degrading. If women acting of their own free will want to compete against other women on the basis of beauty and physical appearance, I shouldn’t try to stop them.

I have got to realize and understand, that some young women love competing in beauty pageants, especially if they think that they can win. Some women want to prove that they are the prettiest, most beautiful, most glamorous, most poised, most talented, most articulate. They want to win, and they want to receive all of the benefits from winning.

I have thought about this subject a lot, in order to be able to explain it. I want to use some comparisons. In high school, some young people feel like they have an aptitude for sports, and they begin competing in track & field, or wrestling. Their goal might be, to do well enough in their sport, to get a college athletic scholarship, or compete in the Olympics one day.

The tall skinny kids may do better in track & field competitions, than the short heavy kids. The tall skinny kids will likely have faster times in running, be able to jump higher, and be able to jump longer. This is a track & field competition.

Conversely, the short heavy kids may do much better in wrestling, than the tall skinny kids. The short heavy kids will likely have more muscle mass and strength, than the tall skinny kids. This is a wrestling competition.

Some young people in high school, may feel like they want to go to college to be an engineer, architect, attorney, or doctor. They know that they have to study hard in order to make good enough grades to get into college, but their goal may also be to do well enough in high school to receive an academic scholarship to college.

Some young women, may feel that their strongest aptitude is not sports, not academics, but their beauty, appearance, and personality. These young women may also have goals like going to college, but they don’t see themselves getting a college scholarship through sports or academics. These young women may also believe that they could have a future career in television, movies, or entertainment because of their beauty.

If there is going to be fairness in beauty pageants, it is probably necessary for the competitors to be able to show off how they look in evening gowns, and swimsuits. I want to explain a little bit about this.

In the comparisons that I made up above about what young people might choose to pursue in high school based on what they believe their aptitudes are, and what their goals are, track & field, wrestling, academics, and beauty pageants, these competitions require the demonstration of excellence in different areas in order to win.

The tall skinny kids may be better in track & field, the short heavy kids better in wrestling, the prospective engineers better in academics, and the beautiful girls better in beauty pageants.

In track & field competitions, we would see that it would be absurd to try to handicap the tall people or prevent them from high jumping, in order to make things more fair for the short people. In wrestling, we would see that it would be absurd to try to handicap the short people, or prevent them from pinning their opponent, in order to make things more fair for the tall people. In academics, we would see that it would be absurd to try to handicap the “A” students, and prevent them from taking higher level classes, in order to make thing more fair for the “C” students.

So for the women who compete in beauty pageants, who are competing primarily on their appearance and physical beauty, why would you try to handicap the beautiful women by not allowing them to wear swimsuits, in order to make things more fair for the fat women?

In the beauty pageants, there are some women who naturally have shapely arms, shoulders, waists, hips, legs, and calves. For other women who want to compete in beauty pageants, they may have to work much harder with diet, exercise, and losing weight in order to improve their appearance. The same is true for people competing in sports or academics. Some people are naturally gifted athletically or intellectually, while other people have to work much harder in order to compete.

No matter what Gretchen Carlson the chairwoman of the Miss America Pageant Organization stated were her reasons for eliminating the swimsuit competition phase of the pageant, what she is in fact doing, is trying to handicap the naturally physically beautiful pageant contestants and the pageant contestants who are willing to work hard in order to compete, and trying make things easier for the fat, overweight, and out-of-shape contestants.

Once you start trying to make a beauty pageant more fair for the fat, overweight, and out-of-shape contestants, is this even a beauty pageant at all?

If some women have made the complaint to Gretchen Carlson, that they would like to compete in beauty pageants, if it were not for the swimsuit phase of the competition, which they feel is embarrassing, there are all kinds of other things for these women to compete in. Chess, boxing, karate, fencing, bowling, skiing, swimming, bicycling, gymnastics, tennis, etc.

These women who complained about not wanting to compete in the beauty pageants because of the embarrassment of appearing in a swimsuit, probably never considered competing in skiing, swimming, bicycling, gymnastics, tennis, or any sports, because their fat lazy ass wouldn’t do well in sports either. They look at beauty pageants, if they could just get rid of the swimsuit requirement, as one way for their fat lazy ass to possibly get a scholarship, because sports competitions or academic excellence is just too much work.

By the way, the top female athletes in any sport, would probably not be embarrassed to appear in a bathing suit, because they are fit and in-shape. It makes you wonder about the beauty pageant contestants who want to compete in a beauty pageant, yet they are embarrassed to show off their appearance, and feel that they need to hide what they actually look like.

A couple of days ago, I wrote a blog post titled “My Take On MGTOW, Men Going Their Own Way”. Fortunately, I remember what it was like living in Idaho, where I had women friends, some nice girlfriends, and some prospective girlfriends. These women were nice, fun, funny, reasonable, and helpful. I am not claiming that all women are worthless.

I wrote that working and living in western North Dakota, the MGTOW way of life has been forced upon me. Because there is a shortage of women in western North Dakota, and a scarcity of attractive women, the women who are here do not care about their appearance, and they are mean, hostile, unfriendly, glaring, scowling, and sneering. I suppose that the women here act this way, because they think that they can get away with it.

I want to share a video today, that shows a type of video that is becoming very, very common, where men all over the World are finally coming to the point where they want to honestly and blatantly tell women once and for all: That men are done supporting women, that men are done giving their money away to women, that women can begin doing everything for themselves, that women can expect no more free help from men, the only thing that men ever wanted from women anyway was sex, but the cost of the problems of women is just too high and not worth it.

In May of 2018, I began watching YouTube videos made by a young lady in her mid-twenties who called herself “Piper Blush”. Piper was an unusually animated person, with a child-like way of speaking in her voice, and also in her enthusiasm and excitement. What made her way of speaking even more entertaining, was that she was French-Canadian, and her manner of speaking was different than what we Americans are used to hearing.

Another thing that was entertaining about Piper, with her child-like way of speaking, and English being her second language, was that when she was going along appearing to be air-headed, aloof, and dingy, she would say something that was very insightful, profound, had a hidden meaning, double meaning, was dark, sexual, or sarcastic.

If I tried very hard for several days to write a comedic script or dialog, I don’t think that I could come up with anything as witty and funny as what Piper comes up with, just off the top of her head as she is going along. After watching more and more of her videos, where she always had at least two or three layers of underlying humor below the surface of what she was doing, I realized that she was very, very intelligent.

For example, my favorite Piper Blush video, which I copied to my blog website and titled it “The Best Piper Blush Video Ever”, Piper is in Malta, and she is talking like and pretending to be a tough inner-city thug. She dressed herself and changed her appearance to pretend to be a street thug, and she is bragging about her new motorcycle shown in the background. It turns out that she wasn’t talking about this motorcycle, she got a new scooter, which she begins to ride, and instead of looking tough, she looks like an eight year old. Later in this video, Piper is acting like the manufacturers of this scooter provided it to her as sponsors who were seeking her to promote this scooter.

I tried to figure out what was going on with Piper, and I had a good idea what it was. Piper has a very high IQ, maybe 140 to 150, probably genius level. My IQ is only about 125. I have seen before, where young women who are much smarter than everyone else in class, quickly realize that they are standing out, not fitting in, being resented, so they start putting on an act to protect themselves for being different.

The act that they put on, includes speaking like an air-head, not answering questions even though they know the correct answer, not being the first one to solve a problem, not being the first one to turn in their completed test, and not doing anything to let on that they are intelligent. Life is just easier this way for them.

When these highly intelligent girls become teenagers, not only does it serve them well to not appear to be smarter than boys their age, which would be intimidating and not liked, they realize that the dumber they act, the more that boys like them.

So I think that what Piper is doing, is something that Piper learned to do a long time ago, not let on that she is smart which could cause her to be disliked, and play dumb which makes men like her even more.

In many of Piper’s YouTube videos, she is acting like an air-head, speaking in a child-like manner, wearing a tight T-shirt with no bras, wearing a button up shirt with all of the buttons undone, wearing a bikini, or revealing her body somehow. Men think that this is great, but women kind of hate Piper for this. Women will admit that Piper has got a good act, but it gets on many women’s nerves. To many women, wearing a tight T-shirt with no bras so that your nipples show in order to get attention, is something that women shouldn’t sink to.

Piper began making her first YouTube videos in July of 2017. Many reviewers of Piper’s YouTube success, say that it all started with Piper making a video of jumping on a trampoline wearing a bras, versus no bras. This was the point where her YouTube video views and subscribers began to take off. By July of 2018, Piper had 500,000 subscribers to her YouTube channel.

For those of you who don’t know, the owners of YouTube have an algorithm for how they determine what they will pay the creators of successful YouTube channels. The pay is based on total number of views, total amount of time spent viewing the videos, number of channel subscribers, and advertising. It is estimated by fellow YouTubers, that Piper probably earned $500,000 in her first year, because of the over 91 million views her YouTube videos received and the amount of channel subscribers she gained.

So I am telling you, Piper is very intelligent, speaking like a child, playing dumb, wearing revealing clothing, doing things that keep the interest of men, earned her $500,000 in one year.

Everything that I have written so far in this blog post about Piper is pretty unusual and surprising, but this is just the beginning of the strangeness. I didn’t tell you yet that during the year in which Piper was making her YouTube videos, she had signed a one-year contract to be a “slave” to her “master”.

In several of Piper’s videos, she explained that the large solid metal necklace that she was wearing, wasn’t a necklace, it was actually a collar, and she was forbidden to remove it by her master. Piper explained a little bit about this contractual master/slave relationship. She said that she was just happier living with her master, and that she enjoyed being dominated.

After watching one of Piper’s YouTube videos, I wrote a snide remark in the comments section about wanting to see her naked. Another viewer responded to my comment with the reply, to go look at Piper’s pornography videos on the website PornHub.

I went to look at Piper on the website PornHub, because I wanted to see Piper naked. However, the pornography videos that I watched with Piper in them were more than I wanted to see, the mystery was gone, and it kind of showed that Piper would do anything with anybody. This is not necessarily true of course, Piper wouldn’t have sex with just anyone, but it was more than I wanted to see or know.

This was all very strange, puzzling, and confusing to me. I knew that Piper was very intelligent, but was playing dumb. Her being a slave, having a master, and making these extremely explicit pornography videos, made me wonder if Piper didn’t have something mentally wrong with her. What is wrong with Piper?

I wanted to find out Piper’s real name, to learn about her, to find out why she was behaving the way that she was. Could women in their right mind freely and willingly make these choices, which other women only seem to make out of desperation and having no choice?

All of a sudden one day in July of 2018, Piper made her final YouTube video announcing that she was done making YouTube videos. I couldn’t believe it, and most of her viewers couldn’t believe it. For one thing, how could you walk away from a YouTube channel that made about $500,000 in its first year?

I had been intending for a while, to try to find out Piper’s real name. This would be the first step in being able to look up and find out where she was born, where she was from, what her family was like, where she went to school, etcetera. How I intended to do this, was by using the YouTube video footage of the house where she lived, and finding this house using Google Earth satellite imagery. Now that Piper announced that she was done making YouTube videos, I felt that I had better hurry up and find Piper, before she deleted the YouTube videos that I was planning on using to find her.

It took me many hours, and I won’t bore everyone with the details, but I first was able to find the house where Piper filmed many of her swimming pool scenes, using Google Earth satellite imagery. Using Google Earth street view and satellite imagery, and comparing features of this house, yard, and pool with the footage in four or five different YouTube videos, I was able to get a 100% positive match on this house.

This house where Piper’s swimming pool scenes were filmed, I was able to get the street address, and then search this street address to try to find out about the owners and the occupants. The woman who owns this house, I believe that she is possibly or likely Piper’s mother, or a relative. I began to realize that so many of Piper’s videos were filmed at this house, that Piper must be a family member to have had access to the inside and outside of this house for so long.

I looked at this homeowner woman’s Facebook page, she had pictures of herself outside by this swimming pool, but no photographs of Piper. I looked at this homeowner woman’s Facebook friends, but no Piper. I looked at her relative’s Facebook pages, but no Piper. I did all different kinds of searches related to this house address and this homeowner woman, but no Piper.

It was even harder for me to find the house where Piper had lived with her “master” during this past year, but I found it with 100% certainty. There are about ten different Piper Blush YouTube videos that I looked at to compare this house where she lived with her master, to many, many Google Earth street views of this house and yard.

I did a Google search of this street address where Piper had lived for the past year, to try to find out the name of either Piper or her master. There was no recent information about any woman living at this address, but I found the name of the most recent male resident, who I believed was Piper’s master. I looked at her possible master’s Facebook page, and he has no photographs of what he was doing for this past year. He is a business owner, in the kind of business where a person’s reputation is very important, so I can understand why he never appeared in any of Piper’s videos, and there is no record of Piper on his Facebook page.

In one video of Piper in Malta, there is an older man sitting in a chair behind Piper, with his back turned toward the camera. This back of the head footage in Malta, matches what her possible master looks like in his Facebook photographs.

There is a woman on YouTube, who has made a couple of videos about Piper Blush. I left a comment on her channel about my efforts to find out more about Piper. I explained that I had what appeared to be her mother’s name, address, and phone number, possibly her father’s name, address, and phone number, and her master’s address and phone number, but still I had no first name for Piper. She replied “Charlotte”.

I am going to continue to try to find out more about Piper. I am not disclosing the names and addresses of the people that I have found in my blog posts, because I am interested in finding out more about Piper, not causing problems for her family and friends. I will try to share what I learn.

An easier way to go about this, might be to e-mail Piper and ask her, or just call where she lives on the telephone and ask to speak to her.

Update 9/24/2018:

I am going to provide a link below, to an interview that Piper Blush had with Dr. Laurie Betito in February 2016. From this interview, you can hear Piper give the following information:

She began a career in pornography in early 2015 after meeting the creator and owner of the website TheArtOfBlowJob.com.
Shortly after meeting the owner of TheArtOfBlowJob.com, Piper began performing in oral sex videos for this website, this was before the beginning of 2016.
If you listen, you will hear Piper explain that she was paid on salary, she was a full time employee of this website, and that in addition to performing in videos, she had media management duties for this website.
Piper goes on to say that, “We” then created TheArtOfCunnilingus.com, and PiperBlush.com . So, the origin and creation of PiperBlush.com, stemmed from Piper and the owner of the website TheArtOfBlowJob.com.
In the interview with Dr. Laurie Betito, Piper said that she had a very good and normal childhood, that both her mother and father are aware that she began a career in pornography, and that they are O.K. with it.
Piper says that she has younger siblings, who at that time did not know that she was involved in pornography.

Update 10/1/2018:

I have sent private messages to the people who appear to be Piper’s mother, father, and brother, asking for some information about “Piper Blush”. Their collective silence, is very telling. You would think, that after receiving an inquiry about “Piper Blush” being their daughter, or sister, looking her up, and seeing her videos, that they would emphatically deny knowing her, if they had no idea who this was.

Though these three people may wish to protect Piper, and remain silent, this to me is coming across as Canadian arrogance, which I do not like. Therefore, I am very close to listing each of the street addresses where Piper Blush’s videos were filmed, so that the readers can look these street addresses up on Google Earth satellite view and street view, to see for themselves where theses videos were made, and they can continue with their own research if they wish.

Update 10/8/2018:

That’s it, I am done asking Piper Blush’s friends or relatives nicely, for any additional information about Piper Blush. I am going to give the addresses of where many of Piper Blush’s YouTube videos were made, so that the readers can do their own follow-up, investigation, or research. Keep in mind that shortly after the end of the “Piper Blush Experiment” on YouTube, Piper appeared to have then moved to Vancouver BC, Canada.

There is very little to do in Dickinson, North Dakota. It is not safe to go out to restaurants or bars to have drinks and socialize in Dickinson because the Police are so aggressive in stopping people for DUI. Also, there is a shortage of women, the women are mostly unattractive, and the women, restaurant servers, and bartenders are mean and unfriendly. Therefore, there is no reason for me to go out in Dickinson, in fact, I have every reason to stay home.

One of the things that I do to pass the time at home in Dickinson, is to watch YouTube videos. I do not have very much interest in MGTOW videos, videos about Men Going Their Own Way, but these videos are becoming one of the most common subjects on YouTube.

I suppose that one of the reasons why I have very little interest in MGTOW videos, is because I actually live like this, though this was not a choice that I made, it just happened to be forced upon me by living in Dickinson.

Back in Idaho, I had some nice girlfriends, women friends, and prospective girlfriends. It is actually important for me to remember this, before I go bashing all women as not being worth the trouble.

Because of my employment in North Dakota, I only have a few chances each year to go back to my home in Idaho, to do some yard, house, and vehicle maintenance. When I get back to the small town where my home is, it is astonishing how attractive, pleasant, and friendly the women are in comparison to North Dakota. I only have time to go to the local hardware store, Arctic Circle restaurant, and the Dollar Store usually, and the women are all very nice, especially the young girls that are in high school or just out of high school.

I will try to sum women up quickly in the area of Idaho where I had been living: The women like men, the women don’t hate men, the women like to get asked out by men, the women like to go on dates, they like to go to the movies, they like to go out to eat, they like to ride horses, they like to ride motorcycles, they like to ride snow mobiles, they like to go boating, they like to take trips, they like getting attention, they like to look nice, they try to be attractive, they try to act reasonable to get along and so that people like them.

In Idaho where I had been living, some women were good company, fun, funny, enjoyable, pleasant, helpful, considerate, and affectionate. Why wouldn’t you want to be around women like this? You just have to be careful to not unintentionally get them pregnant, or become involved with a woman who is more crazy than you can handle.

When I first came to work in Dickinson, North Dakota in the Spring of 2011, during the oil boom, I noticed that there was a shortage of women, and a scarcity of attractive women. What this resulted in, this shortage of women, was the women that were here, did not make any effort to have a nice appearance, or be pleasant, or be friendly. In fact, most of the women in Dickinson, North Dakota are mean, hostile, unfriendly, sneering, glaring, and scowling.

Because of the shortage of women in Dickinson during the oil boom, there were many job openings at restaurants, bars, hotels, convenience stores, and retail stores. Women who could not find employment where they were living, especially women in Seattle, Spokane, and Couer d’Alene, came to Dickinson. Many of these women, maybe even most of these women, were rough, drug addicted, jaded, damaged women, and they didn’t even have to make an adjustment to fit right in with the mean, hostile, unfriendly, sneering, glaring, scowling women that were already here in Dickinson.

So in Dickinson, North Dakota, MGTOW has been forced upon many men, because there aren’t hardly any nice women available for dating.

One more comment that I will make, is that beginning about twenty to thirty years ago, men in the United States who found that there was a shortage of women where they were living, and no women available for dating, they would look into getting a “Mail Order Bride” from Russia, Vietnam, Thailand, or the Philippines.

Initially, twenty to thirty years ago, there were many women who were so desperate to get out of Russia, Vietnam, Thailand, or the Philippines, that they would actually make a very good effort to be pleasant, helpful, agreeable, faithful, and affectionate with their American husband.

Beginning about fifteen years ago, even the “Mail Order Brides” came to be mean, treacherous, scheming, rough, jaded women, not any different than women from LA, Seattle, Spokane, or Coeur d’Alene, so why even bother with the trouble and high cost to obtain a Mail Order Bride if they were going to be so bad.

Meth Head Mechanics

Since I was about 16 years old, I began learning to not take my vehicle to get worked on at any place where I had any doubts at all. If you have any doubt at all, don’t do it.

In the town where I lived, there was an independent mechanic named Sid, who had his own garage where he specialized in Volkswagen and Audi repair. He worked on my mother’s diesel Audi 5000, my sister’s VW Jetta, and my VW Rabbit. Sid was pretty straight-up, no-nonsense, honest, and truthful.

I took my VW Rabbit to the Goodyear tire store to get tires, and the Goodyear mechanic was telling me that the front suspension needed to have several different parts replaced. Remember, I only brought the VW Rabbit to Goodyear for tires. I called the Audi/VW mechanic named Sid who worked on my VW Rabbit and he said, bullshit, you don’t need any repair on your VW Rabbit, it’s fine, there is nothing wrong with it.

Someone who is working as a mechanic, is not necessarily an expert, an experienced mechanic, a knowledgeable mechanic, a competent mechanic, honest, ethical, or moral.

About one year after I graduated from high school, I bought a used Jeep Cherokee that was in very good condition. My father and mother asked me to help move my sister from Florida where we lived, to Washington D.C. It was about a 1,200 mile drive, one way. A family friend was going to let us borrow an enclosed utility trailer to tow behind my Jeep Cherokee with my sister’s furniture and belongings.

My father asked me to take my Jeep Cherokee to an acquaintance of his, who owned a small garage not far from where we lived. I can’t think of what else I wanted to have done besides an oil change prior to this trip, it was something small, but the main thing that I wanted was an oil change. My father wanted me to take my vehicle to this garage, because the garage owner was a client of his, he probably owed my father money, or would owe him money soon, so my father wanted to exchange his services, for garage services.

When I went to pick up my Jeep Cherokee, the garage owner’s sons had forgotten to change the engine oil, and had forgotten to do something else. Two out of the three things that they were supposed to do, they didn’t do. Back then, in this small town, there weren’t usually written work orders, or written service receipts, it was all verbal. If you verbally requested something to be done, when you went to pick up your vehicle, they were supposed to have done what you asked. This garage, and these people, were a complete mess.

Besides some mechanics not being experts, experienced, knowledgeable, competent, honest, ethical, or moral, some mechanics are just plain mixed up people who have problems with everything that they try to do. Do not take your vehicle to a mechanic based on this person owing you money, wanting to exchange their services for your goods or services, because of some type of friendship, or because of a recommendation that was based on friendship. Only take your vehicle to a mechanic on the basis of their competency, knowledge, skill, expertise, and experience.

When I went to work for construction companies in the late 1990s, sometimes a new hire employee would have behavior or work problems right away. A company manager would call the pre-employment drug testing company to ask for this new hire person’s drug test results as soon as possible. It would usually turn out that this new hire person’s drug test results would show positive for one or more illegal drugs.

Also working for construction companies, besides some new hire employees acting abnormal and having work problems right away because they were illegal drug users, some new hire employees could not do the work that they said they could do, they had lied about their work experience, knowledge, and competency.

The new hire illegal drug users, and the new hires who lie about their work experience, knowledge, and competency, these same type of people seek and gain employment at all of the quick lube service shops, tire stores, and gas station repair garages.

Car dealership service departments scrutinize the work history and qualifications of their mechanics before they are hired. They verify work history, and they want to see actual certifications verifying competencies for different types of mechanical work. The car dealerships have their service department personnel watch new mechanics very carefully for the first few months of their employment.

Quick lube service shops, tire stores, and gas station repair garages often turn a new hire loose on their first day of work, to do what the new hire claimed to have work experience doing. What this means, is that at a quick lube service shop, tire store, or gas station repair garage, the person performing work on your vehicle, may be a person who just got hired off the street, who may in fact have no experience, knowledge, or competency at all, and may also be a drug addict.

You can read newspaper articles, listen to radio car talk programs, look up internet articles, or watch YouTube videos about the problems people have had with their vehicles at quick lube shops, tire stores, or gas station repair garages.

On car talk radio programs, two discussions that I can remember, are as follows. One woman went to a gas station, and the attendant filled up her car’s brake fluid reservoir with power steering fluid. The gas station attendant was just young, inexperienced, not knowledgeable, and he didn’t know any better. The woman’s husband called the gas station owner, and the gas station owner agreed to pay for a new brake master cylinder replacement.

Another caller to a car talk radio program, who was among other callers that hour who had experienced the same problem, his daughter took her Toyota Camry to a quick lube shop, and she left the quick lube shop with no oil in the car’s engine. The young lady drove her car for some miles before it was obviously overheating and something was wrong, but by that time the car engine was ruined. The quick lube shop owner agreed to pay for a new engine for the Toyota Camry.

One Monday morning when I came in to work at an oil company in Texas, two of my co-workers, Mark and Charlie, they both had their vehicles damaged at a quick lube shop over the weekend. Mark watched through the window, as a quick lube technician went and got a long handle torque wrench, and turn the oil pan drain plug the opposite direction, stripping either the threads on the drain plug or the oil pan. Charlie had experienced the quick lube technician turning the oil pan drain plug in the wrong direction and breaking it off in the oil pan of his BMW.

You have got to wonder, what is wrong with the quick lube technician, or what kind of experience or knowledge can he have, if he believes that an oil pan drain plug is stuck, when in fact they are turning the drain plug in the wrong direction? An oil drain plug is staring you right in the face like a clock on the wall, and a drain plug gets turned counter-clockwise. If you drained the oil from an oil pan one time, or two times, you should be able to grasp this concept. How could this be your 8 to 10 hour per day job, and you do not know to turn a drain plug counter-clockwise?

The last two stories are about two cars that I bought, that almost had their engines ruined by the last person who worked on them, to perform a very simple repair. This repair was so simple, yet so messed up, that I can only believe that the work must have been done at a tire store or a gas station garage, because a car dealer mechanic would never have done this.

I bought a 1977 Porsche 924 about ten years ago. It had about 120,000 miles on it, it ran O.K., and it was in fair condition. I was looking at the engine one day, and I noticed that a belt was rubbing on the engine, I couldn’t believe it. I looked closely to see what was going on. I could see that the belt had been rubbing on the engine for some time, and if I had not noticed this, it would have rubbed right through the engine casting, causing damage to the engine that was either not repairable, or only repairing by removing the engine from the car and doing some hideous welding on the engine to weld over a gaping hole.

I found the same thing on a 1978 Mercedes 300D that I bought eight years ago. This 300D diesel Mercedes was in excellent condition, and the engine would have lasted for several hundred thousand miles more. But this engine was nearly ruined by a belt that was rubbing on the engine casting. It had been rubbing for some time, and it would have rubbed a hole right through the wall of the engine casting if I would not have noticed it. The only possible repair would have been to remove the engine from the car and make a weld over the hole, but it was in a very bad spot. The engine might not have been repairable.

What had happened to both the 1977 Porsche 924 and the 1978 Mercedes 300D, was that a belt replacement was required. There was a belt tensionor pulley on an arm that you would need to rotate onto the belt and then tighten the tensionor mount bolt to hold the tensionor in place. Who ever replaced the belt, rotated the tensionor pulley the wrong way, the tensionor pulley was making contact with the belt, but it was also pushing the belt onto the engine casting.

I wonder if in both of these cases, was the “mechanic” stupid, incompetent, inexperienced, on illegal drugs, or unethical, or some combination of these things. If you are a “mechanic” how could you not see that the belt was pushed up against the engine, and that it was rubbing against the engine. Do illegal drugs make you not care that the engine is going to be damaged and that this is not the way that the belt tensionor goes?

All I had to do was untighten the belt tensionor pulley arm, rotate it the opposite direction, hold it tight against the belt, and tighten it back down.

If you take your vehicle to a quick lube shop, a tire store, or a gas station garage, be prepared to receive a “free gift” from the meth addict “mechanic”, that little something extra that will cost you thousands of dollars later on.

I Get Asked, “Do You Like Living In Dickinson?”

Today I was asked, “Do you like living in Dickinson?” In order to not be mean and unfriendly, I usually say, “I can make more money in Dickinson right now, than I can back in Idaho, but it has been difficult.”

Usually, I will give one or two examples of how it has been difficult. Today I said, “In the apartment building where I live in downtown Dickinson, there is a lot of noise, fighting, drug dealing, and theft. I wish that I was back a my own house, where I didn’t have to deal with neighbors like this.”

If I were to tell the truth, it would be something like this, “With the shortage of women, lack of attractive women, unfriendly women in restaurants and bars, and the Police trying to stop everyone they can, living in Dickinson has been like being in prison.”

Most of the time, when local people ask me how I like living in Dickinson, from the way that they act when they ask me, it appears that they are expecting me to say how nice it is, or how great it is. This is one of the reasons why I sometimes write that the people in Dickinson are not even aware that Dickinson is any different from anywhere else.

I have tried to come up with a way, at least in my mind, to quickly sum up how Dickinson, North Dakota is different than the area of Idaho where I had been living. The most important thing that I could say about the area of Idaho where I had been living, was that it was very “Progress” oriented.

What I mean by “Progress” oriented, is that anything that was accomplished that was good, it was appreciated, celebrated, or valued. For instance, a new house being built, a new barn being built, a road being paved, a new Doctor moving to town, a new Dentist moving to town, someone’s kid graduating from college, someone’s kid becoming an engineer, someone’s kid becoming a lawyer, all of these types of things were appreciated, celebrated, and valued.

The reason why, was because the people believed that when these things happened, everyone was making progress, things were improving, things were getting better, these were signs of success, people are prospering.

Another reason why accomplishments, especially other people’s accomplishments, were appreciated, celebrated, and valued, was the belief that surely these things will help and benefit all of us.

The area of Idaho where I had been living, was about 60% to 70% Mormon. Idaho has more Mormons in total, and more Mormons per-capita, than Utah does. The Mormons are very “Progress” and “Results” oriented. What this is like, is that Mormons want other people to do well and prosper, and together everyone can do well and prosper.

Just like in every religion or culture, there are some members that don’t do what they are supposed to be practicing, but in general, the Mormon idea that everyone can do well together, is something that you can see working when you live in a Mormon community.

If you don’t want to believe what I am writing, you can read the book by Blaine Lee titled, “The Power Principle, How To Influence With Honor.” Blaine Lee was a Mormon, and an associate of another Mormon named Stephen Covey who wrote the very famous book titled “The Seven Habits Of Highly Effective People”.

When I read Blaine Lee’s book “The Power Principle, How To Influence With Honor” when I was about 27 years old, it changed the way I thought and behaved. At first, I had a hard time believing what Blaine Lee was teaching, that one of the best and most important ways that you can be successful, was to get out of other people’s way and help other people to be successful.

I am not going to dwell on this principle right now, but this really works. Especially in the work place, you would be amazed to see how much “Progress” and “Results” can be made by getting out of co-workers or subordinates way, and helping them to be successful.

For instance, this is a really good example, when I was a construction superintendent and a construction project manager at a very young age, I would talk to the foremen to see how they wanted to handle something, and then say O.K., that’s a good idea. When I asked them what they thought, and what they wanted to do, and they came up with solutions, and I said that’s a good idea go ahead, most of the time, everybody started coming up with their own solutions to problems.

The big change that occurred, was soon, there weren’t really any problems on any of my construction projects, the work moved right along. The laborers saw a problem or difficulty approaching, and they thought of their own solution, because they were allowed to, they were encouraged to, they felt empowered, they felt like they were freed to do their work. The same thing happened for the foremen, and the superintendents. They were allowed to come up with their own solutions and implement them, so they did.

Who would have thought, that just getting out of people’s way, and helping them to be successful, would help me? My projects went so well, that I was promoted to project manager, received higher pay, received large bonuses, got a new company Jeep Cherokee to drive, and I was specifically requested by company owners for difficult projects.

To reiterate, the Mormons, the culture of Idaho where I had been living, was very “Progress” and “Results” oriented. Where achievement and accomplishments, especially other people’s accomplishments, were appreciated, valued, and celebrated, because there was the belief that these things improved life for everyone.

In contrast, in Dickinson, and western North Dakota, people act like they hate each other, people act like if someone else fails, that this helps them succeed. And, if someone else succeeds, this makes them fail.

This is why in Dickinson and western North Dakota, people do not cooperate with each other, co-workers do not cooperate with each other, co-workers undermine each other, co-workers withhold information, workers try to find something about their co-workers to fault them for or use against them.

Just recently, which I wrote about in a previous blog post, another contractor got one of their work trucks stuck on a job site. I let them borrow my personal tow strap and tow rope, helped them hook up the trucks, got them to try a different way when it didn’t work, and was ready to get the site owner to come down with their front end loader. When I realized that I was the only other person left at the site that day, I was figuring on having to use the front end loader myself. However, I was informed the following day, that if I had used the loader, I would have been fired immediately.

I am repeating this story, because in the past, I saw that work got accomplished much better when people came up with their own solutions to problems, and were allowed to solve work site problems. When you start being nasty to people who dare to come up with solutions to problems that arise on the work site, people will revert back to standing around, waiting, not doing anything, not offering information, not offering solutions that they know of, because they are scared of getting in trouble.

So, in Dickinson, this is not a culture of “Progress” or “Results”, it is a culture of trying to keep other people down, keep other people in their place, and someone else accomplishing something or succeeding, is seen as being detrimental. This is one of the reasons why people in Dickinson hate people with a college education so much, they see someone else’s accomplishments, as being detrimental to them.

A Dream About Working As An Engineer

For the past two nights, I have had the same recurring dream about working as an engineer. I could say that I don’t know why, but I think that I do know why.

I was in a very large city, and I had interviewed and gotten a job with an engineering company, because of my B.S. in mechanical engineering, my work experience, and my age, I am 49 years old.

This engineering company had offices and work space on something like the 18th or 20th floor, the mid-height, of a large modern commercial building downtown.

On my first day of work, the work space of this engineering company was somewhat hectic and chaotic. Everyone was in a hurried, stressed, unfriendly, shitty mood. Someone, I believe that it was a woman project manager, was giving me some work assignment, about a specific task, but with very little details.

In order to be polite, and not rude, I attempted to listen to what this woman project manager was telling me, and to try to begin work from the information that she gave me.

But before I had a chance to consider what I could do based on the information that she had given me, a second person was trying to assign me a second project. I was almost immediately skeptical of this second project, and I don’t know if I will have time to describe it, but I began to wonder if this second project was even a company authorized work project, and not a fool’s errand.

The first assignment that I had been given by the woman project manager, was to devise a way to remotely open a safe. I was given very little details or information about this existing situation and safe. I at first wondered was this woman project manager intentionally being vague, or was there some strategic reason to not provide much details or information, such as a customer’s request to maintain security.

I sat at my desk and tried to think about this problem, and block out all the noise, movement, and chaos of this office space. I began to ask myself, was this a walk-in vault, or was this a wall safe? Did the lock have a mechanical dial, or a keypad? Was the lock mechanism mechanical, magnetic, or electronic? If this was a walk-in vault, and there was a large amount of electronic control on the lock, the manufacturer might already have automation hardware and software for this lock.

As I was thinking about the possibilities in devising a way to remotely unlock a safe or a vault, the individual who had tried to give me my second assignment, stopped by my desk to ask me how this second assignment was coming along. I told him that it wasn’t anywhere yet, I was working on my first assignment at this moment, I would get to his assignment later.

I began to wonder even more if this second assignment was even a company authorized assignment, and not some whim or thing that this individual thought of himself, having no idea the amount of time that this second assignment would take. In any case, I was not going to jump through hoops, or split myself in two, trying to please everyone by either lying about working on their project, or dropping what I was doing to work on their project.

Getting back to my first assignment after the interruption, I visualized a way to remotely turn a mechanical dial, using an electric motor that could run in forward and reverse. The easiest way to control the dial position, was by a camera pointed at the dial and alignment mark. This solution involved both remote control of an electric motor, and remotely viewing video.

Rather than reinventing the wheel, you would try to buy off-the-shelf components that were as complete as possible for what you were trying to do. There are many manufacturers that make a variety of cameras whose video can be viewed via cell phones or laptops. But then, you must consider that you have to be absolutely certain that no one else can view this video of the safe mechanical dial being rotated through its combination sequence.

In order to have a simpler solution, you would actually not even want to have to run a mechanical dial through its combination sequence, you would want to have a way to bypass the combination lock, and just mechanically retract the lock bolts, release a magnetic lock, or deactivate an electrical lock. You would also want to bypass a digital keypad if it had one.

Now that I had an idea of how to accomplish the remote unlocking of a safe or a vault whether it had a mechanical dial, digital keypad, magnetic lock, or electrical lock, I knew that I needed to get more information and specific information on the existing equipment that was in place, in order to come up with a specific solution.

Also, I was aware in my mind, that if this was a modern commercial vault, the vault manufacturer probably already provided equipment and technical assistance for accomplishing this, and they would be the best ones to handle most of this, not me. Would I then have to pretend for some reason that I/we had performed any engineering services?

When I tried to explain as succinctly as possible to the woman project manager, what additional information I needed and why, she expressed irritation and discomfort. I was not approaching her with problems, I was approaching her with solutions, I just needed more information.

I had to try to discern if her irritation and discomfort was because she did not know any additional information herself, or if she didn’t understand what I was telling her. I would have known that she understood what I was telling her, if she acknowledged that yes, we need to know if this is a safe or a vault, if it has a mechanical dial, digital keypad, magnetic lock, or electrical lock. Instead she was just irritated.

I didn’t really want to work at this engineering company any more, both because of this first assignment and the second assignment that I was given. I have seen this before, and I have lived through this before. It is frustrating, upsetting, and tiring, working for people who do not know or understand what you are talking about or trying to explain to them. You come to the conclusion that there is no way that you can win or be happy under these circumstances or working for this company.

The second assignment that I was given, I am embarrassed to say, was that I was shown a 60″ wide x 60″ tall, large plan cabinet with drawers, that required some effort to get the drawers open. The frame was metal, but the drawers were wooden. You could say that this cabinet was old, custom made, or home made. I was asked to come up with a mechanical assist for the drawer opening.

As I mentioned previously up above, I was skeptical that this was a company authorized project, and not some idea that someone got into their head, not understanding the amount of time something like this would take.

When you perform engineering work, the time that you spend working on something is not billed at the engineer’s pay rate, it is billed at the engineer’s pay rate plus all of the associated company overhead costs. The actual billing rate for having an engineer spend time on something could be $50 to $300 per hour.

I could tell right away that the plan drawers in this large cabinet did not open very well once they were loaded, because there were no drawer rollers of any kind. I wondered if there was enough room to install rollers. I wondered if the drawer rests would have to be replaced with roller-rail assemblies.

I remembered owning a very expensive large office cabinet with drawers made by the manufacturer HON. Not only did these drawers have rollers and rails, there was a string and pulley system on it so that no two drawers could be pulled open at the same time. If you pulled one drawer open, another drawer would be pulled closed. This was to prevent a heavy cabinet from tipping over on top of someone. This would also be necessary to have on this old home-made cabinet if you made the drawers easy to open.

For the amount of time that it would take me to re-engineer this old home-made plan cabinet, the amount of money it would cost for my time, the hardware, and the installation, it would be cheaper and better to buy a new plan cabinet. And I wondered, and I doubted, that this was even a company approved assignment, and not something that someone just thought up on a whim.

I woke up from this dream, being nearly as upset as if these things had actually happened. Yes, I would quit working for an engineering company or any company on the first day, and I have done it. I have lived through this and experienced this before.

What I have experienced in Dickinson, more often than not, is not only that people do not know, but they do not know, that they do not know. There is sometimes no likelihood that you can change, fix, or improve anything.

On the second night of this recurring dream, I was able to explain to the engineering company owner as diplomatically as possible that I did not want to do engineering work for his company, however, it was seen that I might want to do maintenance work at a far away rural industrial location. I was very happy and contented performing maintenance work at this far away rural industrial location.

At the maintenance job, I could see something, and do something. There was no wasting time, discussion, debate, mis-information, mis-communication, or dealing with people. However, for some reason, I had to go back to the city and straighten things out with the woman project manager, who was very angry. She did not know why I left, that I had left, or that I had switched to an entirely different job.

She was complaining that my pay rate had to be straightened out, I was hired under the supervisor job classification, which was entirely different from the pay rate for maintenance work. I explained to her why I did not want to work as an engineer with this company, which other people in the work area overheard. She stomped off. After she had left, two other engineers who had overheard what I had explained to her, said yes, we are always having this problem.

This dream to me, was an affirmation and reminder that I do not want to work as an engineer, that I do not want to work in the city, that I do not want to work in close quarters in an office building, and that I do not want to work with women.
