Open Window Disaster In Dickinson, North Dakota

Earlier this week, I woke up to the sound of drilling and sawing in a neighboring apartment.  I looked out my window, and I saw two commercial vacuum vans that respond to emergency flooding.  I thought, “Oh no, a pipe has burst somewhere in the building, and flooded someone’s apartment.”

Later that morning, I spoke to a workman who was removing drywall and carpet from a ground floor apartment, and I asked him what had happened.  He answered, “Last night, when the temperature was -17 degrees Fahrenheit, a resident on the second floor left a window open in a spare bedroom.  It got cold enough in that bedroom last night, for a water pipe to burst.  The water leak went all night, and the water flooded into this ground floor apartment.”

By the end of the day, I had seen that the apartment on the second floor where the water pipe had burst, had the commercial vacuum workers in and out throughout the day, but most of the damage and most of the work seemed to be taking place in the ground floor apartment.  The ground floor apartment appeared to have had carpet cut out and thrown in the dumpster, drywall cut out and thrown in the dumpster, and vacuuming done all day long.

Here are some things to consider:

  1. Who do you think will have to pay, for all of the building damage to the walls, ceilings, and flooring, the work that was performed during cleanup, and the work that will be performed to replace the walls, ceilings, and flooring?  How much do you think that this will cost, $2,000-$5,000?
  2. The resident of the ground floor apartment was away at work when all of this happened.  How would you like for 4 to 5 workmen strangers to enter your apartment while you are gone, to have to move your belongings and valuables around in order to vacuum up the water, cut out the carpet, cut out the drywall in the ceiling and walls?
  3. In the ground floor apartment, was there a television, stereo, computer, furniture, paintings, photographs, documents, that got soaked with water?  Who, if anyone, will pay for the destruction of this property?

On the one hand, if you are a person who has any chance to get ahead financially, with some savings, assets, and a good paying job, consider the consequences of being found negligent and liable in causing thousands of dollars in damage to a rental property and other residents’ property, through water damage, fire damage, or smoke damage.  This could be caused by leaving with a faucet running, leaving with a window open, leaving with the stove turned on, candles, or ashes dumped in a garbage can.

Or, if you are just beginning to accumulate personal property or have a substantial amount of personal property, how would you feel about coming home to find all of your personal property soaked with water or burned up by a fire, caused by one of your neighbors?

A Few Comments About Black Workers In Dickinson, North Dakota

I am seeing more and more Black workers in Dickinson, North Dakota.  Some of these Black workers are from other areas in the United States, and some of them are from foreign countries.

What I, and other people have noticed, is that these Black workers appear to do pretty well working at WalMart, CashWise, and the fast food restaurants in Dickinson.  I am not saying that is all they can do, or that is all they are good at, I am saying that they appear to be doing well at their jobs.

It appears that they are showing up on time, doing their job, not making mistakes, trying to do a good job, maintaining a good attitude, appreciating their job, and allowing the businesses that they work for to operate.

I admire how most of these Black workers are doing in Dickinson.  They take a job, try to make the best of it, do their work, appreciate their job, take their pay, and make a life for themselves and their families in Dickinson.

Now that I think about this, whether these Black workers are from someplace else in the United States, or a foreign country, they act like first generation immigrants, that are appreciative for the new and better opportunity that they have, and they try to make the best of this opportunity.

What I hope doesn’t happen, is that the 2nd generation of these Black families that have moved to Dickinson, the children that are raised here and go to school here, don’t act like many of the people that we have in the United States.

I was going to write that many of the local people in Dickinson would refuse to work at WalMart, CashWise, or fast food restaurants, because they feel that it is beneath them, or that this work is undesirable.  However, many people in the United States feel this way.

Here is what I have seen with many workers in the United States.  They don’t want to show up to work on time, or they do not want to show up to work at all.  You can give them clear, detailed instructions, and they will still fail to accomplish simple tasks.  Left on their own, there is no telling what some people will decide to do or figure to do on their own.

For instance, I worked at ship yard.  There was a fuel tanker ship that was docked, with some of its cargo tanks open, and being drained of fuel.  Even when the tanks were drained and cleaned, there was still a constant tremendous amount of ignitable fuel vapor.  On the warf, before the gang plank to the ship, “No Smoking, No Open Flame” signs were posted.  The crew foremen would go over with all of his workers, no lighters, no cell phones, no cameras, no battery operated anything, on this fuel tanker ship that was being worked on.

Sure enough, about two or three times a year, there would be a Great American, standing there on the deck of a fuel tanker lighting up a cigarette, not understanding that he was about to ignite the entire ship and the hundreds of people working on it.

In my lifetime of work, I have seen workers that are so stupid, there is almost no way to foresee what they will do, so it is better to not even have them if you can’t watch them the entire time.

I have seen workers that will mess up any assignment that you give them, both intentionally and unintentionally.  I have read military training manuals, that have names for all of the different ways that workers have for intentionally and unintentionally failing at work.  Some of these are, malingering, loitering, pilfering, spoiling the work, spoiling the material, destroying the work, and malicious compliance.

When I have seen the Black workers in Dickinson at WalMart, CashWise, and the fast food restaurants, I do not see them intentionally or unintentionally hindering, delaying, impeding, or destroying the work, like I often see other workers do.

Nightmares And Strange Dreams From Zyrtec AKA Cetirizine

I never had allergies before in my life, until 2014 when I was living in Dickinson, North Dakota.  I have explained in several previous blog posts that my biggest problem when I have an allergy attack, is that my eyes swell shut to where I can not see.

After I tried most of the non-prescription allergy medications and they did not work, I went to Sanford Health and got two prescription medications, and they did not help either.

Two months ago, I discovered that if I take 50 mg of the non-prescription medication Zyrtec, all of my allergy symptoms cease.  The dosage of Zyrtec is supposed to be 10 mg for an adult, in a 24 hour period.

I have spent more than four hours reading about Zyrtec a.k.a. Cetirizine to find out what the consequences would be from taking 50 mg of Zyrtec.  I saw that other people are in the same situation as me, and they are also having to take more than 10 mg of Zyrtec.  I read about one other man who is the same age as me, who takes 50 mg per day.  Supposedly, there have been no clinical studies for using higher doses of Zyrtec, and there are no warnings of liver, kidney, heart, brain damage, etc.

One of the possible side effects of taking Zyrtec, is nightmares.  Yes, I do have very strange dreams when I take Zyrtec, which I kind of enjoyed and looked forward to, because it is so boring in Dickinson.  Out of the ordinary and unusual dreams.

Last night, I decided to take 30 mg of generic Zyrtec, Cetirizine, before I went to bed at midnight, so that I would not have allergy symptoms when I woke up in the morning.

For my first dream, I had to go out of town for a business conference, and stay at a hotel.  Like a movie, I was going through all of the steps, routine, and activities that would happen on this kind of a trip.  Later in the first day, I made an inappropriate physical contact with an attractive female co-worker, which she did not object to.

Later that night, I unpacked two pairs of new pants that still had the store tags on them.  I was going to wash them under the faucet in the bathtub of my hotel room, ring them out, and take them to the dryer later, after I took a shower.

I went to the door of the hotel room to put the safety chain or safety bar on the door, so that no one could come in my room while I was in the shower, and an unseen entity grabbed hold of me and pinned me to the wall very forcefully.

Just as in my dream, laying in my bed, I could not move, I was pinned.  This was unnerving and frightening.  I struggled to get free from this being, and managed to get the hotel room door open, though I could feel a hand strongly gripping my left forearm.

Though the entity did not let go, I pulled and pulled to get out onto the sidewalk, and then out onto the lawn, pulling its arm with me.  The entity’s arm had plasticity and elasticity to it, it stretched, and I pulled its arm away from it.

I had some satisfaction that I “fucked this entity up by taking its arm”, which I took with me to the hotel office to complain.  The hotel owners were an Indian couple from India, and I don’t know how this was resolved because I woke up.

I thought, “Man, I am glad that I only took three Zytrec.”  I was thinking that maybe I should not go back to sleep, I was feeling disoriented, and not right.

I fell back asleep, and within an hour, I was married to Codi Miller.  For those of you who do not know, Codi Miller was Miss North Dakota Teen in 2007, Miss Rodeo North Dakota in 2014, and a finalist several times in the Miss North Dakota USA pageant.

In my dream, I met Codi, and I suggested to her casually that perhaps we should get married.  To my surprise, she agreed, and for some reason, her parents and her sister were close by, and they did not object either, and within less than an hour, we were married.  It was troubling to me, that this all happened so quickly.

All of this happened very quickly, in a very matter of fact way, no nonsense way, as if it were no big deal.  I had quite a bit of anxiety and apprehension as I was laying there in bed, I was going along unmarried, and now all of a sudden, I am married.

I was trying to make sense of this.  I felt bad for Codi, because I had not given her an engagement ring or a wedding ring.  Come to think of it, I don’t know who married us, who performed the service, or where, it had all happened so quickly.

Then I thought, “This is our honeymoon day, I am supposed to have sex with her, I hadn’t even thought about this.”  I was not really in the mood at the moment, because I hadn’t known that I was going to get married.  I thought, “Well, I had better get in the mood.”

Then Codi said, “Do you want to go back to where you live, and get your things, and then come back?”  And I said, “No.”

We were at a shopping mall, and somehow Codi had fallen into the hands of a male acquaintance that she had known, who was handsome and her own age.  Though she was verbally saying that she did not want to be with him, she didn’t appear to have made much of an effort to get away from him, and I had to snatch her away from him, and inform him that we had just been married.

It troubled me further that Codi did not have an engagement ring, nor a wedding ring, and that I could not remember who married us, where we were married, or very much about the ceremony.  I woke up believing that Codi was going to seek an annulment to our marriage.

I was not in a good mood when I woke up this morning, because I was mad that Codi was going to seek an annulment to our marriage.

Warning To Women About E85 Gasoline

I am writing this blog post, “Warning To Women About E85 Gasoline”, because women probably need to be warned about this the most.  All of the women’s magazines like Cosmopolitan, Elle, Vanity Fair, and Vogue should periodically have articles on this subject, but they don’t.

Women, please don’t make the mistake of putting E85 gasoline in your car.  At a gas station, they will sometimes have E85 gasoline directly beside the regular gasoline that you normally put in your vehicle, but they shouldn’t, because it is too easy for there to be a mistake.

E85 is not exactly gasoline, it is about 15% gasoline, the other 85% is ethanol.  Ethanol is very corrosive and destructive to rubber fuel hoses, rubber seals, and engine parts made of aluminum and magnesium.  Putting E85 in your vehicle fuel tank, can cause a great amount of damage to your vehicle.

Whether you have an $80,000 Mercedes, a $40,000 Chevy Suburban, or an $8,000 Honda, you can ruin the engine in your vehicle by accidentally fueling it with E85 at a gas station.

Here are some important things to remember:

  1. Do not put E85 fuel in your vehicle.
  2. If you do begin putting E85 fuel in your vehicle, stop as soon as you realize it.
  3. If you have put E85 fuel in your vehicle, don’t start it.  Call your husband, boyfriend, father, or mechanic.

Some of the solutions to accidentally putting E85 in your vehicle:

  1. If there is any room left in your vehicle’s fuel tank, adding as much regular gasoline as possible to the tank to dilute the E85.  Then driving the vehicle immediately in order to be able to add 2 gallons of regular gasoline at a time, to dilute the E85 more and more.
  2. Siphoning all or most of the E85 fuel out of the tank, and adding regular gasoline.

The sooner that you get the E85 fuel out of your vehicle, the better.  The worst thing to do, would be to let this fuel stay in your vehicle for more than a week.

E85 fuel, which is 85% ethanol, is only supposed to be used in vehicles that have been manufactured and labelled as “Flex Fuel” vehicles.  These “Flex Fuel” vehicles, have special fuel hoses and engine components that can handle the ethanol without deteriorating.

Sometimes, even engineers and mechanics, have made the mistake of putting E85 in their vehicles because they weren’t paying attention, and it is right there with the regular gas at the pump.  They soon realized what they had done, were horrified, and quickly tried to correct this mistake, because it can be so damaging to an engine.

But the people who are even more susceptible to making this mistake are teenagers, inexperienced drivers, women, and the elderly, because they might not have any idea how damaging 85% ethanol can be to an engine.

If steps are taken immediately, to continuously dilute the E85 fuel by adding regular gasoline every time the fuel tank can hold another two gallons, this is probably the least expensive and adequate solution to fixing this problem.

Ed’s Honey Company In Dickinson, North Dakota

In Dickinson, North Dakota, there is a local producer of honey, Ed’s Honey Company, that has been in business for more than fifty years.  The easiest way to find and buy Ed’s Honey in Dickinson, is to go to one of the Family Fare grocery stores, and this local honey is there on the shelf with the other brands of non-local honey.

I am not interested in honey at all, I don’t care about honey, I only went looking for locally produced honey because it is supposed to contain small amounts of pollen from every plant growing in this area.  Hence, taking a spoon full of locally produced honey every day, was supposed to be the same as taking allergy shots.

When I was in the Family Fare grocery store about one month ago, there was only one 5 lb jug of Ed’s Honey left.  This was a lot of honey, but I didn’t care, I was glad to be able to find any at all.  This honey was darker in color than what most people are probably used to seeing, it is more towards brown, and not golden or light in color.

I was only supposed to take one teaspoon full of it for my allergies, but I ate about one cup of it on the first day.  This honey is very interesting and unique, to look at, pour, smell, and taste.  It is the best honey that I have ever tasted.  It is the most distinct, peculiar, unusual, and interesting thing that I have ever tasted.  It is very, very strong, and potent, but not in an unpleasant way.

One of the reasons why this honey tastes different, is because it is made from the nectar of every flower growing in western North Dakota.  These plants in western North Dakota, are probably different from the plants that grow in any other part of the world.

This honey probably tastes so strong, because it is 100% pure honey.  I don’t know if this is “raw” honey or not.  I don’t think that there is any processing done to it at all.

I would recommend to everyone living in western North Dakota, or passing through western North Dakota, to buy and try Ed’s Honey at least once.  This honey is different than anything that you have tasted before.

Liking And Hating The Police In Dickinson, North Dakota

Sometimes I like, and sometimes I hate, the Police in Dickinson, North Dakota.  I don’t want to be completely ungrateful, sometimes the Police in Dickinson are decent and helpful.

On average, I have some type of interaction with the Police in Dickinson, about once per month.  In the five years that I have lived in Dickinson, I have never once had any trouble whatsoever or negative interaction with the Stark County Sheriff Deputies.

The only times that I have had to deal with the Stark County Sheriff Deputies, is when I have intentionally contacted them.  In these instances, the Sheriff Deputies have been very helpful and cooperative.  All the other times that I have been driving, working, and living in Dickinson, the Stark County Sheriff Deputies have seemed to completely ignore me, and leave me alone.

The complete opposite happens with the City of Dickinson Police.  For the five years that I have lived in Dickinson, whenever I go anywhere, the Police watch me and follow me like I am a criminal involved in illegal activity.  I have been sick and tired of this for the past four years.

There is very little to do in Dickinson, and very few place to go.  One of the few things that you could do, would be to go out in the evening after work and have drinks with dinner at a restaurant or sports bar, but you can’t even do that because the Police in Dickinson are so eager and aggressive in stopping people for DUI.

I have totally given up on going to any bar in Dickinson, or any restaurant and having an alcohol drink, because the Police are determined that you are going to get a DUI.  I feel like I can’t even drive anywhere in Dickinson without the Police wanting to follow me, stop me, and try to arrest me for something.

For instance, about six months ago I was sitting in a restaurant on Villard Street in Dickinson, and my neighbor who is in his 40s, was sitting with his wife and another couple at the table across from me.  These two couples do not drink alcohol, use drugs, or act wild, they go to Church a couple of times each week, and they perform Church charity and volunteer work, which takes up much of their free time.  They are always very sober people, I see them and I talk to them every other day.

My neighbor and his wife exited the restaurant parking lot onto Villard Street in their fairly nice truck, about two minutes before I did.  When I pulled out onto Villard, I saw that my neighbor and his wife had been stopped by the Dickinson Police about four blocks away.

I stopped and asked my neighbor what was going on, and he said, “I have a headlight out on my truck, and the Police pulled me over for that, but they want to go through the whole have you been drinking routine, and run my driver’s license, check my insurance and registration,  I’ll be O.K.”

I hate driving anywhere in Dickinson, because it is so predictable, that the Police are going to be right on you, follow you, and try to stop you for something, to try to get you for a DUI, or some other criminal charge.  I got stopped by the Police in Dickinson on Villard Street last night, because I had a headlight out on my truck.  This was just a reason to pull me over, to try to discover something else to charge me with.

I have thought about this, and I began to believe that each of the Dickinson Police officers want to make an arrest so bad, in order to keep their job, advance in their job, or be able to transfer to a different police department elsewhere.  Unlike the Stark County Sheriff Deputies, who respond to calls or crimes that they witness, but otherwise leave people alone, the Dickinson Police are almost like they are stalking or hunting people just hoping to get them for something.

I am not going to re-write and re-tell the story from one of my previous blog posts, where the Drug Task Force in Dickinson had some undercover Police officers approach me in a bar and ask me again and again where they could buy drugs, so that they could arrest me for being a drug dealer.

Now having explained that I am tired of the Dickinson Police always acting like they want to get me for something when I am driving anywhere in Dickinson, I should probably also explain that I rely on and count on the Dickinson Police to show up when I call them.

Just off the top of my head, I can recall three different instances where a mentally disturbed criminal person went bezerk downtown in Dickinson and began attacking people, and I had to call 911.  As an aside, these three people weren’t from Dickinson, they were recently arrived people, who immediately got into trouble repeatedly, and eventually had to either leave town or stay in jail.

One time I witnessed someone committing a certain type of theft in Dickinson, not petty theft, I called 911, described the situation, got in my vehicle, followed the person until the Dickinson Police could catch up, and they caught the person with the stolen property in his vehicle, and he confessed to stealing it.

I have had to call the Police about three or four times to where I live in Dickinson, most recently last week.  A person that I did not recognize as a resident of my building, was passed out on the stairs at 3:00 a.m., not in a peaceful slumber, but as if he was too drugged or intoxicated to be able to get up or move.

When I have telephoned the Police in Dickinson, they usually arrive fairly quickly and handle the situation adequately, so I need to give the Police in Dickinson credit and show some appreciation.

I am facing a dilemma now, I have counted on the Dickinson Police to show up when I telephone them after witnessing a crime that has been committed or a crime that is still in progress, however I am sick of the Dickinson Police following me so that they can pull me over and try to arrest me for something.

I am starting to feel like Black people who live in inner cities, don’t trust the Police, don’t talk to the Police, don’t have anything to do with the Police, even if you see a crime being committed.

Towns Change, Is This Progress Or Ruining?

In this blog post, I have included a couple of videos, to illustrates the points that I was trying to make, but you might enjoy watching the video at the end for its own sake.

The coastal town that I grew up in, in the 1970s in Florida, was very beautiful, nice, and pleasant.  It was not over-developed or over-commercialized.  The population was about 10,000 people.

When my grandparents first came to this town in the 1930s, the population was about 2,000 people.  Hardly any of the roads, other than U.S. Hwy 1, were paved.  There was no interstate highway system in the United States until the 1950s, everyone had to travel on roads like U.S. Hwy 1.

Travelling on two-lane U.S. Hwy 1 back then through Florida, you might only be able to average 30 mph.  You could only make 250 miles in a day of travelling, so every small town in Florida on U.S. Hwy 1 had small “Mom & Pop” motels.

All of the towns in Florida would have a small business district with very little more than one grocery store, one hardware store, one general store, one barber shop, and maybe a movie theater.  Most of the towns were completely covered by a dense canopy of over-arching oak tree limbs, with Spanish moss hanging from them.

What I just described, is what my grandparents experienced when they first arrived in this town.  This is the town that my father grew up in.  My grandfather managed the General Store, and my grandmother was a beautician sometimes.

In this town, when I was very young, my father was able to show to me the elementary school that he had gone to, the high school that he had gone to, the houses that he had lived in, the old General Store, all of the places that he used to go and the things that he used to do.

Growing up, through elementary school, I was able to live in a town that was very similar to the town that my grandparents had lived in, and the town that my father had grown up in.

This town had changed some through the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s, but it had not changed drastically.  Due to a growing population in the United States in general, the “Greatest Generation” reaching retirement age, the decline in factory and industrial employment in the Northeastern U.S., the creation of the interstate highway system, and the invention of air-conditioning, there became an enormous migration of people to Florida.

To local people in the towns in Florida, this migration was both good and bad.  There was an economic boom with new housing construction, new schools, new businesses, new roads and infrastructure.  But the lifestyle of the local people and the character of the towns was being destroyed.

It was very, very upsetting to me, my father, my mother, and my sister to see our town being destroyed.  For what, and for why?

People from all over the United States wanted to move to these coastal towns in Florida because they were so beautiful, charming, quaint, unique, picturesque, and laid back, but in the process they were destroying everything good about them, and creating a city just like the ones that they no longer wanted to live in and had left.

To my family, and to many of the other local families in the town that we lived in, the over-development of the town became to seem inevitable and unstoppable.  We couldn’t stop it, we could only try to get away from it.

Many of these local families that lived in this coastal town, had grown up fishing, boating, and sailing offshore in the Atlantic Ocean.  It was fairly dangerous and frightening to pass through the 1/2 mile long, narrow, and very rough inlet into the Atlantic Ocean, in a boat that was only 18 feet to 40 feet long.  It was dangerous every time that you did it, even if you had done it hundreds of times.  Here is what the inlet passage into the ocean was like in the winter:

Besides what you see in this video, keep in mind that this water is full of sharks, this water is about 50 degrees Fahrenheit, the current is very strong, and you are at least 1/4 mile from shore. If your boat motor quits, you will likely capsize and die from hypothermia, drowning, or being killed by sharks.

To many local families, the beach and the ocean was what was important to them, what they loved, fishing, swimming, surfing, sailing, and sunning.  Not K-Mart, not Wal-Mart, not McDonalds and Burger King, and everything else that the transplanted people from the cities in the North brought with them.

Some of the local people found that they could travel 500 to 600 miles in a southeasterly direction across the Atlantic Ocean, to reach the far out-islands in the Bahamas, to reach islands that were completely uninhabited, and towns that were completely unspoiled.  Towns that didn’t have automobiles or police officers, because they didn’t need them.

You had to be a very, very knowledgeable, experienced, and brave sailor to get to the out-islands by boat.  Most of the islands were uninhabited, the water depth varied from shallow to very shallow, and there were reefs everywhere.  You had to be a very good and experienced pilot to even dare to attempt to reach one of the out-islands.  One of the reasons why I included the rough inlet passage video clip above, was to show what a trip by boat to the Bahamas could turn into at any moment, especially out in the Gulf Stream.

This difficulty in reaching the Abaco Islands, protected them for hundreds of years from over-development and over-commercialization.  However, just like the people from the Northeastern U.S. came to my hometown in such large numbers that they ruined it, we people in Florida probably contributed to ruining Hope Town.

There had been small numbers of people from all over Florida who had been travelling to the hard to reach islands in the Bahamas, in order to get away from everything.  These were the adventurers and the risk takers, the divers, surfers, offshore boaters, and pilots.  These people appreciated the beauty of the islands, and they didn’t want to ruin it, but they all did unintentionally.

These islands went from being simple, quaint, and rustic, to Americanized and commercialized very quickly after approximately 1990.  Some Americans wanted air-conditioning, brought air-conditioners down there, people got accustomed to it, and then everybody had to have air-conditioning.  There were no televisions, then someone got a satellite dish, then everyone had to have satellite dishes.  It became Americanized, one step at a time, bit by bit.

With the introduction of more and more American amenities, conveniences, and other things being made available, the out-islands became less rustic and more modern.  This made it more appealing to rich, pampered, lazy people, instead of the risk-takers and adventurers.  When rich people begin visiting or moving into an area, the real estate prices escalate to where other people are priced-out and displaced.

There is an expression, “Nothing ruins a good time like a bunch of millionaires moving in.”  And in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, “The billionaires drove off the millionaires.”

Where the local families from towns in Florida had once gone to get away from everything, to enjoy, peace, quiet, simplicity, and a laid back simple lifestyle of swimming, fishing, sunning, and taking walks, once word got out about how nice it was, and wealthy people found out about it, here is what Hope Town has been turned into:

What you see in this video, the smallest of those yachts, the 50 footers, those are $1 million boats.  The 70 footers, $5 million boats.  There are couple of yachts in this video that are more than $10 million.  Before GPS became available to the public in the late 1990s, hardly any large yachts would cruise the out-islands because navigation was so difficult and dangerous due to thousands of unmarked shallows and reefs.

The average annual income of a Bahamian citizen is probably about $20,000 per year.  I checked with my father, and he told me that all of the local people who have lived on this island for many generations, have had to move away.

I believe that the person who made this video, thinks that all of this is just great.  I don’t think that he knows that what he is recording, is a town that has been ruined.

Dickinson North Dakota Is In A Transition Period

It may be obvious to most of the people who are living here, that Dickinson, North Dakota is going through a transition period.  However, people who live elsewhere in the United States have no way of knowing what is happening in Dickinson right now.

Dickinson, North Dakota experienced an Oil Boom that occurred from 2007 through 2014.  This was Dickinson’s third Oil Boom.  The first Oil Boom took place in the 1950s, and it was due to the discovery of oil in North Dakota.  The second Oil Boom occurred from approximately 1978 through 1983.  This third Oil Boom was due to advances in hydraulic fracturing and directional drilling technologies that allowed more profitable oil extraction in North Dakota.

What killed this third Oil Boom in North Dakota, was the price of oil dropping from over $100 per barrel down to $40 per barrel.  When the price of oil was over $80 per barrel, it was profitable for oil companies to perform exploration, lease oil well sites, drill, and produce oil.  When the price of oil was down around $40 per barrel, oil companies didn’t even want to pump very much of this oil out of the ground because they wouldn’t be making any profit from it.

Supposed reasons for the price of oil going from over $100 per barrel down to $40 per barrel, were over-production and over-supply in the U.S.  It is more likely that the over-supply of oil and the price drop was due to intentional flooding of the oil market by OPEC producers in the Middle East.

The number of operating drill rigs in North Dakota went from over 200 during the Oil Boom, to less than 50 currently.  Many oil field jobs went away.  Less surveying, less road work, less site work, fencing, cattle guards, containment barriers, tank batteries, water hauling, sand hauling, drilling, directional drilling, fracturing, casing, wireline, work over, pump jacks, automation, controls, tanks, pipelines, welding, mechanics, electricians, roustabouts, truck drivers, less everything.

By the end of 2016, I would say that 60% to 80% of the oil field jobs had gone away.  Most of the out-of-state workers returned to the states where they came from.  It was not just that most of the oil field workers lost their jobs, could not get a replacement job, or could not get a job with overtime hours like they used to have, it was that all of the oil field workers knew that they could not afford the cost housing in North Dakota, and it was not very pleasant living in North Dakota because it was cold, there was no where to go, nothing to do, and there was a shortage of women.

Even by the end of 2014, after many new large apartment complexes and new hotels had been constructed in Western North Dakota, the cost of housing was still very high.  In Dickinson, even up until the end of 2015, there was a large extended stay hotel on I-94 that had a banner advertisement on their building for rooms starting at $700 per week.

There was a lie going around the United States that everyone working in the oil field was making over $100,000 per year.  This was far from being true.  In the more than five years that I have lived here, I have only met three people who made more than $100,000 per year working in the oil field.

The $700 per week for the extended stay hotel room, most workers in Dickinson, who worked in retail, fast food, restaurants, or service industry, did not have a take home pay of $700 per week.  The semi-skilled workers, construction workers, laborers, and roustabouts, had a take home pay of about $700 per week after taxes.  This led to people sleeping in their cars at WalMart, sleeping in a tent in people’s backyards, and sleeping in the bushes where they could.  This is not an exaggeration, I know all about this, myself and my friends lived like this.

Some of the cheapest old one-bedroom apartments, if you could even find one, rented for $1,500 per month, with one month’s rent security deposit, first month’s rent, and last month’s rent due at lease signing, that’s $4,500 due up front.  Most of the workers who came to North Dakota did so out of economic desperation, and they didn’t have $4,500, which led to them sleeping in their cars at WalMart, the truck stop, etcetera.

I am re-telling all of this now, to paint the picture of why everyone who came to work in Western North Dakota during the Oil Boom, was so ready to leave when the Oil Boom was over.  It was not just about jobs going away, it was about how unpleasant and difficult it had been living in North Dakota.

The lie had been told that everyone working in the oil field was making over $100,000 per year, in order to lure an abundance of workers to Western North Dakota, most of whom would be paid less than $16 per hour.  These workers would fill the retail, fast food, restaurant, hospitality, and service worker jobs, but they would also fill every house, apartment, basement, cabin, trailer, hotel, and motel.

When the Oil Boom was over, all of the local people, the business owners and the property owners said, “Oh, it’s coming back.  Hold on now, it’s coming back.”  The kind of lying that got people from all over the U.S. to come to North Dakota looking for work, was now being done to try to keep everyone from leaving.  But the Oil Boom didn’t come back, it was over.

By 2017, the occupancy rates at the newly completed large apartment complexes and the old apartment buildings, was approximately 50% or less.  The occupancy rates at the RV parks, hotels, and motels, was approximately 20% or less.  Rents began to decrease quite a bit, as there became competition amongst property owners and property managers to get tenants into their buildings.  Home prices decreased also.

By 2016, some of the non-oil field businesses in Dickinson that I recall closing were, Wild Cat Pizza, Hobby Artz, Superior Laundry, The Pita Pit, and Evolution Fitness.  By the end of 2017, some additional businesses that closed were Sears, JC Penny, one Family Fare grocery store location, Total Workforce Solutions, and the Elks Lodge vacated the upstairs of their own building to move into their basement.

By 2016, some of the few restaurants in Dickinson that had previously been open 24 hours, ceased staying open past midnight.  For a time in 2016, all of the grocery stores and WalMart in Dickinson no longer stayed open 24 hours.  Now WalMart does stay open 24 hours most of the time.

In 2016, many local young people who had graduated from high school in Dickinson or Dickinson State University during the Oil Boom and found employment right away, now had to move out of state to find employment in Montanna, South Dakota, Colorado, and Arizona.

By 2016, many entrepreneurs who had moved to Dickinson to start a business or a service during the Oil Boom, began closing down in order to move away and start over again in another state.  By the end of 2017, there appeared to me to be another wave of entrepreneurs shutting down in Dickinson, to move away and start over elsewhere.

What inspired me to write this particular blog post about Dickinson going through a “Transition Period” right now, are two things.  Three of the most visible and active members of the Dickinson community, three entrepreneurs, have recently announced on Facebook that they are moving away.

For these three people, I thought that Dickinson was their life-long home, they were so entrenched in everything, and so active in everything.  It wasn’t until I read that they were leaving, and I then looked into everything that they were doing recently, that I realized that they had been trying to earn money doing several different jobs outside of what they normally do, in order to make money.  I didn’t know that they were struggling, because I wasn’t paying attention.

In 2016 and 2017, I had to work at several different jobs outside of my normal job, in order to make enough money.  Some of these jobs were physical labor jobs 12 hours per day, every day, for weeks.  Some of these jobs were physical labor jobs for 15 hours per day, with an additional 2 hours of drive time each day.  So I can understand that these three entrepreneurs were having a shortfall of money in Dickinson, because I have too, but I didn’t know that it had come to the point that they have to move away.

The second thing that inspired me to write this blog post about this “Transition Period” in Dickinson right now, is the theft and crime.  In 2017, in Dickinson, there has been so much theft, crime, and drug overdoses.

In Dickinson this past year, there has been a great deal of vehicle, trailer, equipment, and tool thefts, again, and again.  Thefts from businesses, homes, job sites, garages, and parked vehicles.  Dickinson had very little theft prior to the Oil Boom, and even during the Oil Boom up until 2016.  The theft in Dickinson now, is comparable to what goes on in a very bad neighborhood in Phoenix, Tampa, or Dallas.

There have been many drug overdoses in Dickinson this past year, with several fatalities.  I can’t remember hearing about this amount of drug overdoses and fatalities during the Oil Boom, or anywhere else that I have ever lived.

What I think that the correlation is, between everything that I have described in this blog post, is that so many jobs have gone away in Dickinson, that people have coped by moving away immediately, moving away after trying to wait, moving away after trying to work additional jobs, staying and continuing to work multiple jobs, and other people cope by stealing and using illegal drugs.

Comments Today From A Local Reader In Dickinson, North Dakota

Below I have copied the comments that I received today from a local reader in Dickinson, North Dakota.  I am cautioning you now, that these comments will probably be offensive and upsetting to most people.

The purpose for me copying these comments and showing them, is so that everyone can see the hostility, hatred, anger, resentment, and unfriendliness that there is in Dickinson towards people from out of state.

All the members of the Chamber of Commerce can smile for the camera, all the real estate agents shown in the property listing guides can smile for the camera, and the Catholic Priests can smile in thier photographs, but Dickinson, North Dakota is full of hatred.

Here are the comments, just from today:

  • We wonder why there is so much unrest in this country. It’s because of niggers like you.
  • Please leave.  Obviously a retard that can’t hold a job and has nothing better to do with his time.
  • This idiot writes nothing but dog shit.  Don’t like it here? LEAVE!! We don’t want your kind here anyway!!!!
  • Fuck u nig.  Out of state people should go back where they came from LEAVE AND DO US ALL A FAVOR!!
  • Fuck u nig.  Fuck all niggers in the ass dry.

  • KKK.  Just another dumb nigger lookin for a hand out get a real job.
  • KKK.  Dumb nigger.
  • KKK.  Dumb fuckin niggers take your porch monkey ass back to Africa before you run into one of us.
  • Just another nigger lookin to hang from a tree.

Even though you might think that this is despicable, the local person who wrote these comments actually did something that was helpful.  If you asked and asked the local people in Dickinson, what they felt, and what they believed, they wouldn’t tell you.  Because this commentor was confident about their anonymity, they went ahead and said what they thought.

I have been writing for several years that the local people in Dickinson are hateful, hostile, uncooperative, mean, not helpful, and undermining at work, especially to out of state workers.  Now that you can see that this is true, please consider this when evaluating whether you want to live and work in Dickinson, North Dakota.

Update On The Elks Lodge In Dickinson, North Dakota

Back in August of 2017, I wrote a blog post article titled “Elks Lodge Calamity In Dickinson, North Dakota”.  At that time, I had been informed by a life-long Dickinson resident, that the Elks Lodge would be vacating the upstairs of their own building, in order to move into the basement of their own building.

This was upsetting to me, because I thought that the Elks Lodge in Dickinson had a nice bar, restaurant, ball room, and kitchen facilities on the main upstairs level.  Why in the world would they ever, ever even consider giving up, the upstairs to their building?  Financial reasons?  How could this be, Dickinson just experienced the biggest economic boom of anywhere in the United States from 2007 through 2014 during the oil boom?

I was told that the rumor was, a Church would be occupying the upstairs to the Elks Lodge building.  This was all a shock to me, I couldn’t believe this.  I wandered away, and I found another long time Dickinson resident, and I explained to him what I had just heard.  This second person said to me, “Yes, I know, I was talking to Luke Simons, whose father is the pastor at the New Life Pentecostal Church, and they are supposedly going to take over the upstairs of the Elks Lodge building.”

I don’t want to express any more outrage and anger about this at this time, I already did this in my blog posts article “Elks Lodge Calamity In Dickinson, North Dakota.”

Today, this “Elks Lodge Calamity” article that I wrote back in August, received over 100 views in about a six hour period.  I wondered what was going on.  I looked through the Dickinson Elks Lodge Facebook page, and I saw a post from November 16, December 14, and January 2, that stated the upstairs of the Elks Lodge building was being vacated, and that the Elks Lodge would re-open in the basement in 2018.

I drove to the Elks Lodge building in Dickinson this evening, and I saw several work vans and equipment trailers belonging to Simons Homes Siding & Windows parked beside the upstairs of the building, because renovation work was being done to the upstairs.

I can not say for certain that Pastor Simons’ New Life Pentecostal Church will begin occupying the upstairs of the Elks Lodge Building, but this appears to be what is happening.  It does seem certain that the Elks Lodge will now operate out of the basement of their own building.

I am sad about all of this, and I am not even a member of the Elks Lodge.  I had had respect for the Elks Lodge, and I thought that they serve a good purpose.

I am not talking about the charity work of the Elks Lodge, I am talking about the successful people in the community having a place to gather and socialize, without disruption from riff-raff and naer-do-wells.

In any town, I believe that the successful business owners, insurance agents, real estate agents, car dealers, doctors, dentists, lawyers, and professional people, should have a place to go for lunch or dinner, with their wives and children, and be able to socialize amicably, and be able to relax with the certain knowledge that no one will be accosted inappropriately.

With admittance being restricted to members only, or invited guests of members, this was a way to ensure that everyone was going to be on good behavior.  There was to be no foul, offensive, vulgar, crude, or inappropriate language.  There was to be no fighting, threats, harassment, or intimidation.  No out of control drunkeness, and no inappropriate behavior.  The method of enforcement would be, loss of membership, and refusal of entry to those who violated the rules.

In my opinion, once this Elks Lodge in Dickinson began admitting non-members, this place was doomed.  Why even be a member, why join, why pay dues?  I would no longer look forward to dining at the Elks Lodge any more than I would Applebees, Perkins, Country Kitchen, or the King Buffet.

I don’t know why the Elks Lodge could not understand the following.  If you are 55 years old, and you own a car dealership, or a large company, and you wish to take your wife and children out to dinner after a long day of work, you do not want you and your family to be seated beside oil field workers who have been drinking, who take enjoyment in becoming more and more inappropriate and obnoxious, in order to make local business owners and their families more and more uncomfortable at dinner.

Why should a life long resident of Dickinson, and a successful business owner, have to sit and eat dinner beside the lowest, most uneducated, ignorant white trash that you could find?  The answer is, they don’t have to, they just will no longer come to the Elks Lodge, which is what I think happened.

I have heard from several people, that the Elks Lodge in Dickinson believed that they needed to bring in a younger crowd.  Their belief was, that bringing in younger people, would increase membership overall.

Once you get over 40 years old, one of the most irritating things that there is, is young people.  Young people are ignorant, they don’t know that they don’t know anything, they think that they know everything.

The successful business people that are over 40 years old, have probably paid off their primary home, purchased a vacation home, and are interested in making other investments in businesses, real estate, and stocks.  25 year olds, are probably still living at their mom and dad’s house, wearing baggy jeans that are sagging off their ass, and driving a lowered Honda Civic with a belled-out exhaust.  Why would you think that these older successful people with money would want to be anywhere near hoodlum kids?

If there was a drop in membership at the Elks Lodge in Dickinson, it was probably due to admitting non-members and seeking to attract younger people.

The Truth About The World That You Should Know, The Sooner The Better, It’s Not Too Late

My biggest regret in life, is that I didn’t know sooner, what I know now.  I certainly don’t want to go back, and re-live my life over, but I do wish that I would have known more at an earlier age.

What I now think separates the small minority of truly successful people from the rest of us who have ordinary lives, is not intelligence, not emotional intelligence, not hard work, not ingenuity, not leadership, but something else.

I now think that people who have an accurate, solid understanding of the world, how it truly is, from an early age, have the most likelihood of being successful.  Even if they aren’t highly intelligent, hardworking, or a leader.

Many times in my life, I have seen intelligence, hard work, ingenuity, and leadership not pay off.  The field of engineering, for instance.  Brilliant engineers developing and perfecting the pocket-sized scientific calculator, so that half of the engineering work force is no longer needed to make time consuming calculations.  Brilliant engineers developing and perfecting AutoCAD, so that the best engineering draftsmen with a lifetime of experience can be replaced by $12 per hour high school graduates.

Let me put it this way, one person can spend a lifetime of working hard, and be broke by the time they are too old to work anymore, and another person can retire by the time they are 30 years old with more money than they will ever need.  What separates these people?

I don’t think that it is intelligence, hard work, or other things that separate people, I think that it is in how well people truly understand the world, the way that it actually is, and from what age they understand the world.

I am almost 50 years old now, and I believe that the world is corrupt, unfair, treacherous, immoral, unethical, rigged, controlled, and manipulated.  I wish that I would have understood this by the time that I was 12 years old.  One of the reasons why I didn’t think like this or come to this understanding when I was young, was because I grew up in a middle-class household with both a mother and a father, in a peaceful, safe, friendly, pleasant town.

In my home growing up, in the schools that I went to, in the town that I lived in, there was fairness, justice, morality, ethics, kindness, charity, hospitality, an understanding of right and wrong, and a belief in God.  I wasn’t prepared for the things that I would face when I left this town, and I was slow to catch on to the way that things actually were in the world.

I don’t know why my parents, grandparents, neighbors, teachers, and townspeople raised the children in this town this way.  I don’t know if it was their idealism, thinking that this was the best way, or if this was just the easiest way for them.  But it left me ignorant about the way things work.

Late in my life now, I am finding out all different kinds of things that I did not know about.  For instance, I did not know what it was like to be discriminated against until I moved to Idaho, where it was 60% to 70% Mormon.  I didn’t know about all the different kinds of mechanisms, practices, policies, procedures, customs, social networks, and business networks that come to bare to treat other people differently.  Moving to North Dakota, the discrimination against non-local people was even worse than the discrimination from the Mormons.

But on a much, much greater scale, just about all of us in the United States have been kept ignorant about what is really going on in the world.  We have been tricked, mis-treated, manipulated, lied to, and harmed in ways that most of don’t know or understand.  I feel ignorant, stupid, and ashamed that I did not know.

Just like I wondered why my parents, grandparents, neighbors, teachers, and townspeople raised us children believing in certain things, I wondered why as adults we were all kept in the dark about what was really going on in the world.  Was it just easier to keep everyone uninformed, too disruptive to let people know, or were most people thought to be too stupid to understand?

At the end of this blog post, I have included a link to a YouTube video.  This YouTube video, is an audio recording that was made in 1967.  This audio recording is 2-1/2 hours in length.  In my lifetime, I have read about many of the incidents that are covered in this audio recording, but it has been hard for me to connect everything together in a mental timeline.

This audio recording made in 1967 covers:

  • The interest of wealthy European bankers in the 1700s, of influencing world events.
  • The interest of wealthy European bankers to consolidate world leadership.
  • The plot, manipulations, and reasons for the European bankers to start WWI.
  • The plot, manipulations, and reasons for the European bankers to create the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia.
  • The reasons for the European bankers to create the Federal Reserve Bank in the U.S.
  • The European bankers originating Communism, NAACP, ACLU, Anti-Defamation League, other Communist front organization, to disrupt society and politics.
  • The reasons for the creation of the Center On Foreign Relations, CFR.
  • The reasons behind Adolf Hitlers rise to power, his secret supporters, WWII.
  • The creation of the United Nations, and the intention of the United Nations to be the basis for the creation of a one world government.
  • The attempt of the European bankers to control all forms of media in the United States including television, radio, newspapers, and magazines, to be able to sway people’s opinions on war, government, politics, legislation, and religion.
  • The attempt of the European bankers to undermine religion in order to bring about a one world government.

I listened to this 2-1/2 hour audio recording, for about one hour at a time.  I will probably listen to it for a 2nd time, and a 3rd time.  I believe that the information is mostly true, from what I have read and learned elsewhere.

This audio recording is a little difficult to listen to, the information is so unsettling, that it becomes overwhelming, and you just can’t take in anymore information at one time.

The people who would benefit the most are young people, but it will be hardest for young people to listen to and understand.

I Don’t Want The Women On My List Of Attractive Women In Dickinson To Compromise

Today, I was considering that I have two new women to add to my website list, “List Of Attractive Women In Dickinson, North Dakota”.  I am hesitating to add them to this list, for several different reasons.

Both of these women are not married, one of them is about 21 years old, and the other one is 28 years old.  The 21 year old is not off to a bad start, she is still finding herself.  The 28 year old is just beginning to become professionally successful.  For the 28 year old, I have tried several times to think of who she might date in Dickinson, and I can’t think of anyone.

To be honest, this upsetting problem has been weighing on my mind for a couple of years now.  Though there is a shortage of women in Dickinson, and a scarcity of attractive women in Dickinson, for the few good, decent, intelligent, well mannered, well behaved attractive women in Dickinson, there isn’t anyone suitable for them to date.

If you go and look at my website list “List Of Attractive Women In Dickinson, North Dakota”, I am scared for all of the young unmarried women on this list, because I don’t know what they are going to do.  Unless they get out of this area, or a miracle happens, I don’t see them finding a good enough husband in this area.

What I would like for the unmarried attractive women to find, is someone who is handsome, intelligent, well-educated, confident, well-mannered, thoughtful, and considerate.  With these qualities, the wives will at least always have something.  If he is not financially successful, at least they will have all the rest of his good qualities.  If he loses his looks, at least they will have all the rest of his good qualities.

The easiest way for young women to find a husband like this, is to find a stand-out at a good College or University.  I must emphasize the importance of it being a “good” College or University, not a college where people who graduate can not spell, use correct grammar, write, read with comprehension, know history, or much of anything.

The only other way that I know of for women to find a good husband, is to move to a metropolitan area, and socialize with as many professionally successful people as possible, and make a good impression.  It does no good to socialize with professionally successful people, if you alienate them by acting foolish, unreliable, trashy, low class, or out-of-control when drinking.

Older professionally successful people, may be the best source of obtaining help or assistance in finding and identifying good quality unmarried males, but they won’t help young women who they don’t like.

I would like for the unmarried attractive women to find a husband like I am describing, so that they will have a husband who can be successful anywhere.  Successful in a big city, in a large town, or in a small town, by virtue of his appearance, intelligence, education, confidence, and personality.

What I don’t want, is for the unmarried attractive women to marry a husband who is only able to be successful during an oil boom, or only be successful due to his family’s current local influence.  These two factors, are actually an impediment to men being able to be successful elsewhere.

In writing this blog post, I realized that the miracle that these unmarried attractive women may need, is friends, family members, relatives, business contacts, social contacts, busy-body old women, and scheming old men, to assist in bringing together two people who would otherwise not have met.

These Protests And Lawsuits Are Good For Dickinson, North Dakota

I am becoming more and more encouraged when I read the Dickinson Press newspaper or Google Local News, and I learn about more protests and lawsuits in Dickinson, North Dakota.  I am glad that all different kinds of people in Dickinson are protesting, fighting, and bringing their mistreatment and grievances to light, where it becomes known, for everyone to see.

There is a well known quote by Edmund Burke, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

  • I am glad that the former City of Dickinson Streets Maintenance manager David Armendariz protested his dismissal.  At the Civil Service Commission hearing, many facts came out, such as the City of Dickinson using recycled concrete for road base where Class V material was specified, 4 out of 5 of the past Civil Service Commission hearings arising from the Public Works Department, and who the Civil Service Commission were.  This led me and probably other readers to more discoveries about the Civil Service Commission, former City Attorney Goos’ dismissal, and the Strom Center at Dickinson State University.
  • I am glad that Dickinson property owner Carlos Royal has created a GoFundMe page to raise funds to begin a class action lawsuit against the City of Dickinson.

Carlos Royal is attempting to raise $50,000 to challenge the city’s tax assessment process on behalf of “all the property owners in Dickinson who have over-assessed properties.”  This led me and probably other readers to try to find out more about the City of Dickinson’s Tax Abatement Hearings.

  • It was a huge surprise and shock that Dickinson Public Schools Superintendent

Doug Sullivan presented a letter of resignation on Monday, January 8 to the School Board at the end of a regularly scheduled meeting.  Doug Sullivan’s resignation came after the School Board approved a long list other resignations from longtime Dickinson Public Schools teachers and administrators.  It appears to me that all of these teachers’ resignations coming at the same time is a protest response to something, that people in Dickinson should try to find out about.

Fortunately for the City of Dickinson, they just recently switched from having the City represented by an attorney from the Mackoff Kellogg law firm, to hiring a full-time City employee City Attorney Jan Murtha, who is probably on a fixed salary, so they won’t have to pay for hourly billing from a law firm.

Dickinson Public Schools Superintendent Doug Sullivan’s resignation seemed to me, to be like the song written by David Allen Coe, “Take this job and shove it!, I ain’t working here no more…”

But to me, who didn’t know what it was like to be treated like a Black person, until I came to work in Dickinson, here is what I think about protesting in Dickinson:

Treating Severe Allergies In Western North Dakota

I never had allergies in my life, until these past three years in western North Dakota.  I would not care so much about having a runny nose or watery eyes, if it weren’t for my eyes swelling shut and becoming extremely sensitive to light.

I have tried just about every over-the-counter non-prescription medication.  I went to Sanford Health and got a prescription for Prednisone tablets, and Pataday eyedrops which cost $193 for less than a tea spoon of liquid, which did not help very much.

I have already written two long blog posts about Allergies and my visit to Sanford Health, so I will just get to the point of what seems to work the best for me, for treating allergies:

  1. Zyrtec (cetirizine) – One tablet is supposed to last all day, and you are not supposed to take more than directed.  I bought the 10 mg tablets that cost about $1.00 each.  After trying Zyrtec for two days, I found that for me personally, I had to take more than directed in order to get my right eye to unswell and stop hurting.  I tried one tablet, which helped some, waited an hour and took a 2nd tablet which helped some more, waited an hour and took a 3rd tablet which almost completely stopped all of my allergy symptoms.     Taking this many Zyrtec was a last resort for me.  My doctor visit and prescription medication in August cost $400 and didn’t help very much.  Nothing else has worked for me so far.
  2. Flonase (fluticasone nasal) – This nasal spray helped me some in reducing allergy symptoms, but only about 50% of what I needed.
  3. Allegra (fexofenadine) – These tablets helped me some in reducing allergy symptoms, but only about 40% of what I needed.
  4. Claritin (loratadine) – These tablet only helped about 20% of what was needed.
  5. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) – These tablets helped with my runny nose, but I think that these tablets made my eyes even more sensitive to light, which was the last thing that I needed.

In North Dakota these past three years, I can have an allergic reaction at any time of the year, without any advance warning.  I read recently, that in the Winter, Box Elder trees and Ash trees produce something that causes allergies.

When I am at home, and don’t have anywhere to go, I have tried rinsing out my sinuses with salt water, and this helps a little.

Other people have recommended to me that I find a local producer of local honey.  Local honey contains a small amount of pollen from every plant, and consuming local honey is supposedly almost the same thing as taking allergy shots, which get your body used to allergens a little bit at a time.

Sarah Jennings-Trustem, Queen Of Dickinson!

I was reading the Dickinson Press newspaper on January 4, and I saw an article where Sarah Jennings-Trustem has been pronounced Queen of Dickinson, or something like that.  I saw her photograph, and I felt that I knew her from somewhere.  Yes, I remember, she was formerly Sarah Jennings, Duchess of Marlborough.

I wondered, is she married?  With a name like Jennings-Trustem, a hyphenated name like that, you don’t know if this was passed on, or if they originated it.  I did my research, and I came to my conclusion, which I am not quite ready to let this cat out of the bag yet.

With Royalty, they are never going to show much nudity on their own Facebook page, so you have to go and look at other people’s Facebook pages, which I did.  I found some photographs of her in a bathing suit, and she is a nice looking young lady.

I did read that she is a City of Dickinson Commissioner, which is kind of a stuffy thing to be.  However, she had been a bartender, so I think that this evens things out.  I was relieved to see that she graduated from Dickinson High School, and not Trinity High School, but then she went to Dickinson State University, and later the University of Mary, so I can’t tell whether she is Good or Evil.

Since she is not quite 30 years old yet, I am not going to just automatically put her on my  website list, “List Of Attractive Women In Dickinson”, like I did for City Attorney Jan Murtha, because she might still be too wild.

I believe that I read her Coronation Ceremony will be January 15.

Dickinson Returning To Feudalism And A Caste System Again

I first came to Dickinson in the Spring of 2011 to work in the oil field.  I worked in the oil field in southwest Texas in 2012.  In the Spring of 2013, I returned to Dickinson, and I have been here since then.

In the five years that I have lived in Dickinson, I found that most of the local people were unfriendly, not helpful, uncooperative, hostile, hateful, mean, and undermining, especially at work.

One of the things that I observed, was that when people needed help in Dickinson, the local people looked at this as the opportunity to withhold help, so that someone else would fail.  It appeared that the local people took satisfaction and gratification in someone else failing.

I tried to understand why this was, that people were uncooperative and not helpful to others in Dickinson, and enjoyed seeing other people fail.  I began to realize that one of the reasons for this was that historically, no one had the chance or opportunity to get ahead in Dickinson.

The only opportunity for people in Dickinson to do better than someone else, was not through advancement at work, earning more money, receiving higher education, receiving technical certification, applying ingenuity, or implementing innovation, because there was very little of that, it was only through someone else failing that a person could feel like they were successful.

The reason that historically no one could get ahead in Dickinson, was because from the time of the first settlers in the 1890s, up until 1970, Dickinson operated like a Feudal Society, with a Caste System, like there used to be in villages in Europe.

The first settlers in Dickinson were Ukranian and German Catholics, that came from villages where there was Feudalism and a Caste System.

For those of you who don’t know, the Feudalism that I am talking about, is where local people’s lives are not governed by National leaders, directives, policies, or laws, but by local landowners called Lords, who direct local people’s lives like they were practically slaves or livestock.

The Caste System that I am talking about, is where someone like a Lord, decides for another person, what job, education, housing, economic opportunity, and social opportunity that person will have.

From the 1890s through 1970 , Feudalism and the Caste System did occur, where certain prominent landowners in Dickinson, had a great amount of control over ordinary people’s lives in Dickinson: Where a person could work, not work, how much money they could make, economic opportuinity they could have and not have, educational opportunity they could have and not have, social opportunity they could have and not have.

Of course, one of the ways that you control people, is to limit their education and awareness.  You keep people in the dark as far as the possibilities in life, their possibilities, what they are capable of, what they might achieve.  One of the facilitators of keeping people under control in Dickinson, was the Catholic Church.

The Catholic Church teaches, that the Pope is the highest authority on Earth. That what the Pope instructs, will be handed down through the Cardinals, Bishops, Arch Bishops, and Priests, to you, the servants of God.  You need the Catholic Church, and the Pope, to tell you what to do and how to live.

The Catholic Church was not about to teach, that you don’t need the Pope, the Catholic Church, and the Priests, you can just read and understand the Bible on your own.  The Catholic Church did not want people to receive enough education to realize that they could read, understand, and interpret the Bible on their own.  They wanted people to live under the illusion, that they require other people to tell them what to do.

In the 1970s, there was greater access to information than there had ever been before in Dickinson. Throughout the United States, people had been protesting the Vietnam War, there was the Hippie movement that was a rebellion against control, with music concerts, drug use, free sex.  Young people in Dickinson did not want to go along with things the way that they had been going.

In approximately 1978, the second Oil Boom in Dickinson occurred.  People quit their ordinary low-paying jobs in Dickinson to work in the oil field where they could make four times as much money as they had been making.  In the late 1970s in Dickinson, this was the first time that the control of certain prominent landowners in Dickinson was broken.  Many local people began making so much money, that they could do what they wanted, and could not be controlled.

This economic freedom which allowed local people in Dickinson to do what they wanted, only lasted as long as this second Oil Boom, which ended in about 1983.  Once jobs became scarce, they also became low paying.  Most of the people in Dickinson had to go right back to the way things were before the second Oil Boom.

Now that this third Oil Boom is over, that lasted from about 2007 through 2014, I see that the same oppressors and their facilitators want to take Dickinson back to Feudalism and the Caste System again.

One of the things that is happening, is that out of state workers are being encouraged to leave Dickinson.

Attorneys Need To Be Involved In Prostitution In North Dakota

In western North Dakota, there is a shortage of women.  In Dickinson, the ratio of men to women is still probably 3:1.  In the other towns of Williston, Watford City, Killdeer, Belfield, New England, Richardton, and Taylor, the ratio varies from 3:1 to 10:1.

Because of the Catholic Church and Heidi Heitkamp, the Police approach to handling the situation of men seeking prostitutes, is to place a fake advertisement with an attractive looking woman on the internet offering sex, and then arrest the men when they show up to meet the prostitute.

Then, once the Police received further Heidi Heitkamp sponsored training, the Police would place a fake advertisement on the internet with an attractive woman offering sex, establish contact with interested men, and then at some later point in time, make up the fact that the woman was under 18, so that the men would face 20 year sentences under laws for Exploiting a Minor For Commercial Sex, even though they never sought to contact a minor in the first place.

The result of this approach by the Police, has resulted in only the most hideous, unhealthy, diseased, out-of-their mind drug addicted street hookers from the big cities in other states, being brought to North Dakota by their criminal pimps in order to fill the void.

Other men in western North Dakota, have resorted to having sex with animals, as reported in the Jamestown Sun newspaper article dated January 28, 2013 “Horse becomes victim of sexual assault in west North Dakota.”  A quote from this newspaper article reads, “…an illegal act ranchers suggest happens all too often in this area, but rarely gets reported.”

This may be one of Heidi Heitkamp’s proudest achievements, but I personally do not want to have sex with horses or diseased, drug-addicted street prostitutes.

I have been thinking for a couple of years, that the best way for North Dakota to address the shortage of women in western North Dakota, would be to have very well regulated legal prostitution.  Licenses would be granted to prostitutes, fees would have to be paid to cover the cost of the regulatory oversight, and bi-monthly health checks would be required.  These bi-monthly health checks would be to detect sexually transmitted diseases, but I suppose they could also include drug testing.

Well regulated legal prostitution is not going to happen in North Dakota any time soon, probably.  I found on the internet, how professionally and proudly they advertise and offer beautiful Escorts in Italy, on the website www.escortofitaly.com , and I could only feel anger, resentment, and remorse that we can’t have anything like this here.

After more thinking, it occurred to me recently, that Attorneys could become involved in prostitution in North Dakota, to help eliminate some of the risks for both clients and prostitutes, in having legal problems.  In discussing what I have in mind, I want to refer to the prostitutes as Escorts, because I am not in favor of street prostitution.

I foresee, that the best Attorneys to consult, would be Attorneys that specialize in Criminal Defense, who would have some desire and interest in advising Clients on the legality and what to avoid, in what they had already made up their mind to do.  A Client might have the following conversation with an Attorney:

“I have a good paying job in Dickinson, and I work all the time.  There is a shortage of women, and a scarcity of attractive women in Dickinson.  I can’t go to the bars after work to try to pick up women, because there aren’t any, and it is just a waste of time.  I would like to hire an Escort, like the one shown here on the website Backpage, but I don’t want to be arrested and lose my job.

Though I understand that prostitution is illegal, I want to find and hire an Escort.  Can you advise me on how to contact an Escort, and not become entrapped by the Police in Dickinson?”

Now, before you consider what an Attorney might say to this inquiry, I propose that Escorts, also consult with a Criminal Defense Attorney, and have the following discussion:

“I have been working as an Escort, and this is what I want to do.  If I see two Clients a day at $250 each, that’s $500 per day.  If I work five days a week, that’s $2,500 per week.  I can easily make over $100,000 per year.

Though I understand that prostitution is illegal, this is what I want to do.  I do not want to be arrested by the Police in Dickinson.  What do you suggest that I do, what can I do to avoid being arrested?”

Criminal Defense Attorneys have to advise Clients all the time about illegal things that they are involved in, that have not yet been detected by the Police, whether it is involvement in illegal drugs, theft, embezzlement, or assault.  These Attorney conversations about prostitution with Clients or Escorts, would not be out of bounds.

Attorneys are not going to be involved in the commission of illegal activities, because they do not want to be arrested and disbarred.  However, I believe that Attorneys could advise on a very formatted screening process for Escorts and Clients, that would greatly reduce the chances for legal entrapment by the Police.

The big “gotcha” moment by the Police when a Client meets an Escort, always seems to take place at some location that the Police have managed to take control of, such as a hotel room, or restaurant where several Police Officers are hiding nearby.  The necessary element that triggers the arrest, is the Client bringing up, or the Client engaging in discussions of sexual acts or exchange of money.

If Criminal Defense Attorneys could devise some kind of format for both a Client and an Escort to adhere to, and not deviate from, this format may be able to foil any attempts by the Police in entrapment schemes.  This format would or should probably involve a preliminary meeting between a Client and an Escort at a location where the Police could not take control, and where there would be no discussion of sexual acts, or the exchange of money.  Any attempt by either party to deviate from this format, would probably be an indication that this was a Police set-up.

The reader might be asking, why would anyone go through this much trouble?  To an Escort that makes over $100,000 per year for working less than 20 hours per week, it is worth a great deal to her not to have any problems with the Police.  To a man who does not want to pay $6,000 to $10,000 per year in child support for the next eighteen years just because he wanted to have sex, yes it is worth it to him to find an Escort, and not lose his job in the process.

Thailand Girls, You Get More Flies With Honey Than With Vinegar

Hello, and thank you for reading my blog website.  I really don’t have anything to do, because I live in Dickinson, North Dakota.  There is no where to go, nothing to do, and hardly any attractive women.  All I can do, is just look on the internet to see what life is like elsewhere.

After spending the past month watching YouTube videos about Bigfoot, Dogman, and people who went to work on other planets, I decided to watch some videos created by men on vacation in Thailand.  The inspiration that caused me to look on YouTube for “sexy girls in Thailand”, was Facebook.

During the past several weeks, Facebook has been including in my list of “People You May Know” or “Friend Suggestions”, Facebook profiles of women from China, Vietnam, and Thailand.  Some of these girls appeared to be very attractive, so I looked at their profiles.  Now, my Facebook “People You May Know”, is 90% Asian people.

Most of the Asian women on Facebook, are not argumentative and insulting right up front, like American and European women are.  In my life, several times myself and my friends made up our minds to only date or seek to marry Asian women, because they are so much less trouble than American women.  I could go into why I decided not to marry an Asian woman, but all I will say for now is that I didn’t think that it would work out.

A couple of days ago, I began watching YouTube videos that were made by a couple of men from Europe who began routinely vacationing in Thailand.  At first, I thought that these videos were going to be raunchy, crude, abusive, and pornographic, because everyone knows that men go to Thailand to pick up prostitutes, but these videos were not like that at all.

One of these “vloggers”  short for “video bloggers”, his voice sounded Russian, his English was fair, and he seemed to be fairly well educated and professionally successful.  I would say that he was probably a programmer, sales representative, or technical sales representative.  He appeared to be tall, thin, in good physical condition, confident, outgoing, and in his mid-thirties.

This particular vlogger, when he arrived in Thailand on vacation by himself, he liked to sight see in the city he had arrived in.  He liked to visit the downtown markets, and get a feel for the city, what were the restaurants and the bars that he wanted to try.  Everywhere that he went, he was kind of chatty and playful with the shop women and the women that he met on the street, and all the women appeared to like and appreciate his banter and attention.

This is probably the exact opposite of what me and what most people expect that men behave like in Thailand.  This vlogger was not disrespectful or abusive to girls or women in any way.  Usually, some time on the first day, this vlogger would meet a young lady that he liked, and ask her if she would like to go to a restaurant, bar, or club with him.  These women were not street prostitutes or bar girls, but they were party girls.

The party girl that he would meet on his first day of arrival, who agreed to go with him to a restaurant, bar, or club, would agree to be his exclusive companion for the duration of his vacation.  In the evening, the two of them would go to a restaurant for dinner, then walk the market, then go to bars, and then go to clubs where his companion would meet up with her friends.  They would go back to his hotel together at 2 a.m. or 4 a.m.

The next day, the two of them would get up late, eat breakfast, and then go to the hotel pool.  Later in the day, the two of them would go back to her place so that she could pick up more clothes.  The two of them would live together like this for a week, until it was time for him to go back to Europe.

While I was watching the first video of this vlogger, this jogged my memory about an acquaintance of mine named Caleb from fifteen years ago, who went to Thailand and did the exact same thing.  Caleb preferred to find and meet a party girl on his first day, and then have her as his exclusive companion for the duration of his stay, which in Caleb’s case was two weeks to two months.

Caleb explained that these Thai girls would do the grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, and laundry, and be your companion, for about $20 per day.  The cost of a bungalow or cottage by the ocean might cost $20 per day.

This vlogger from Russia, he was never mean or unpleasant with his Thai girlfriend.  They would go to the pool, the sauna, the market, restaurants, clubs, and on sightseeing tours, and have a good time together.  When it was time for him to leave, the Thai girlfriend would be very sad, and cry a little.

In this vlogger’s video, you would see other men from Europe in the bars, restaurants, clubs, markets, and hotels.  The younger men in their 20s, would go to the clubs and party, dance with the girls, and act wild.  The men in their 30s and 40s, would sit quietly at bars drinking beers or mixed drinks, watching TV, and being fairly content.  The men in their 50s would lounge at the pool during the day, and not really stay out as late as the younger men.

I watched four or five videos made by two different European vloggers on their vacations to different cities in Thailand.  I did not see any of the European men misbehaving, acting like jerks, or acting like assholes.  You have got to realize, that these European men were probably in the upper 20% of income earners in Europe.  They were educated, professionals, and successful.  The last thing they wanted, was to get into any kind of conflict, and have their vacation ruined.

All of the men vacationing in Thailand, could have as many women as they wanted, as often as they wanted, for not very much money.  Because this was the case, they were all calm and relaxed, there was nothing to fight over, get upset about, or argue about.  You can’t have sex all the time, so they would try different restaurants, sit by the pool, go to the beach, and go sightseeing.

The Thai people, none of them seemed to object to the vacationing Europeans.  The Thai people appeared to be happy people.

This says something about European and American culture, that men have to get on a plane and fly thousands of miles, to go somewhere where they can meet women who don’t act difficult, argue, gripe, bitch, and complain.

The Russian vlogger could not have been more pleasant with his Thai companion that he was with during his vacation, and she cried when it was time for him to go back to Europe.  An American girl who watched this video posted on YouTube, and left a comment to this video, of course you know what she said, “This guy is creepy.”

You can watch these YouTube videos here, just click on this link below.  These videos are not sexual, in the first minute of the first video, they are both just drunk, don’t get the wrong impression.  Also, please watch videos #2, #3, #4 where he goes home to meet her family.

These videos are not sexual, just disregard the first minute, they were both drunk.

The Correction Of God For Arrogance

There is a reason why this particular blog post is located where it is.  Those who can read it, should heed its warning.  This particular blog post came about, because I recently witnessed two young people ridiculing a U.S. Military Veteran who works for the Salvation Army.  These two young people perhaps did not know that the Salvation Army is a Christian Ministry that helps the homeless, and that many of its workers, are recently rehabilitated persons that had been homeless themselves.

If any of the readers of this blog website read my recent blog post titled “My Experiences With Lesbians”, they would have heard my telling about my mother’s Dance Studio and Dance Company, which she started when I was about five years old.  I had to take dance classes from when I was very little, and I had to be in many musical and dance productions.

I was done with all of this by the time that I was 20, but I saw the growing up and later fate of many young women.  I want to tell two contrasting stories, about reversal of fortune, that to me shows the Correction of God for Arrogance.

There was a young girl named Becky, who was about twelve years old, three years older than me, when her mother signed her up for ballet classes.  Becky was from a family that did not have very much money, she was being raised by just her mother, I never knew what had happened to her father.

Becky was kind of plain looking, not very attractive.  She had something wrong with her eyes, to where she blinked frequently and kind of forcefully.  I remember when she and I and others had gotten into an obnoxious conversation one time, I asked her what was wrong with her eyes.

I did not know, that the whole reason why Becky’s mother had signed her up for ballet classes, was because of her eyesight.  Becky had no depth perception, and she could hardly walk.  Because of Becky’s eyesight and lack of depth perception, her mother had been overprotective, not allowed her to do anything, and now as she was just entering puberty, she could only walk by placing her hands on walls the whole time she was going anywhere.

A medical doctor realized that Becky, even with her condition, she should or could have slightly better mobility than this.  But how to correct this now?  Sports were out of the question, there was no way that she could play volleyball, basketball, softball, or soccer.  It occurred to the doctor that she might develop some more skill and confidence in walking by taking ballet.  I only learned all of this later, after Becky had graduated from high school.

My mother had two very, very good dance instructors, two lesbians who graduated from the University of Wisconsin with B.F.A.s in Dance.  These two dance instructors did not show any leniency for Becky in dance classes, she had to do everything correctly, and keep up just like all of the other girls did.  Ballet is just like Boot Camp for twelve year old girls, if the instructors give a shit.

Not only did Becky keep up, I never even noticed that there was anything wrong with her.  Becky fit right in.  Looking back knowing what I know now, she must have tried so hard, and been pretty scared, because she hadn’t even been able to walk without holding onto something up until then.

After Becky graduated from high school, her mother talked to my mother and the other dance teachers in private, and said, “You have no idea what you have done for her, you will just never know.  I didn’t even know if she was ever going to be able to go out on her own, or ever live on her own.  All I was hoping for, was for her to be able to walk a little better.  I had no idea she was going to be able to be just like everybody else.”

I began this story about Becky, saying that she came from a family with not very much money, it was just her mother who raised her.  Becky went off to college, at a not very famous school.  Most of us paid no attention when she graduated from this college, and went to graduate school.  But, after getting her Masters degree, and then her Doctorate degree, she was outstanding enough, to become a professor at Cambridge University in England.

You can imagine what a surprise this was, this reversal of fortune.  We had so many kids from our high school that were expected to be professional football players, basketball players, baseball players, or famous scientists, but they didn’t.  This girl’s own mother, didn’t even know if she would ever even be able to go out on her own.  Becky had so much against her, that all she could do was just try, and try, every day of her life, in a way that most people don’t have to.

The contrasting story that I wanted to tell, was about Jennifer.  Jennifer was two years younger than me, and I believe that she started taking ballet classes when she was about nine or ten years old.  Of all the dance students that I can remember, Jennifer had the most perfect build, proportions, and musculature suited to becoming a professional ballet dancer.

I didn’t know who Jennifer was until she was about thirteen and I was about fifteen.  Prior to rehearsal for some ballet production, we all had to take ballet bar class together for warm up.  She was very beautiful.  She had a very pale, flawless complexion, and very light color blond hair.  She was very technically correct in everything, very graceful, and poised.

In the coming years, Jennifer came to perform more and more difficult leading roles in my mother’s Dance Company ballet productions.  She did very well.  My mother, my mother’s business partner, and my mother’s two instructors knew that Jennifer could go on to become a very good professional ballet dancer.  There was just no reason why she could not, she didn’t have any deficit or flaw of any kind.  My mother, her business partner, and the two instructors all tried to do what they could to foster her success, including paying her as an instructor’s assistant for some classes, which they never did before or since.

In high school, Jennifer did begin to become rather arrogant.  I can’t remember if she was a cheerleader or not, I think that she was.  When I was a senior in high school, she was a sophomore, and she was dating a friend of mine, a senior who was a football player.  She was kind of a bitch to me, which struck me as odd, because I know that my mother had made an extra effort to try to help her in a variety of ways.

I never said anything at the time, no one did, except for the two lesbian dance instructors, that my mother was always helping people at her own expense, without anyone knowing.  Just some of this, was my mother spending all of the money that she personally earned on other people’s costumes, shoes, and production sets, so that “It didn’t look like shit.”

Back in the 1980s, a professional dance company performance tutu cost $2,000.  In today’s money, that would be like $8,000.  In order for some 16 year old girl, who was a very good ballet dancer, who probably could be a professional ballet dancer, to look like she could be a professional ballet dancer, and she may have only one chance to make a good enough impression to be accepted at a professional ballet company, my mother bought a $2,000 performance tutu for her to wear.  Remember, that would be like buying a girl an $8,000 dress in today’s money, in order for her to be remembered as being perfect, when it really, really counted.

Anyway, Jennifer was kind of acting arrogant, ungrateful, like a bitch.  I said something about it to my mother, my mother didn’t say anything back.  It wasn’t that my mother was ignoring me, she was listening to what I said, and she was mulling it over, as if she knew and was aware of this too.  My mother felt the same way.

It was probably a couple of months later, that Jennifer ran a red light at an intersection, and her small car was hit broad-side.  Her back was broken.  She would never dance again.

About one or two years later, Jennifer was cooking in her grandmother’s kitchen, and she set her grandmother’s condominium on fire, I believe the condominium was totally destroyed.

Today, Jennifer is a plump, unattractive housewife, with a very ordinary husband, and some dumb ass kids.

I believe that there are a number of Biblical proverbs that say something along the lines of “To those who receive little, who are diligent with what little they have, God will reward greatly.  To those who receive much, God expects much in return.”

Merry Christmas And Happy New Year To Heather Louise Gower

For those of you not familiar with my blog website, I live in Dickinson, North Dakota, and I write about Dickinson, North Dakota.  Readers of my website would say, that what I write is negative about 80% of the time.

My biggest complaint about Dickinson, is that there is a shortage of women, and a scarcity of attractive women.  There was an Oil Boom in Dickinson that occurred from 2007 through 2014, that brought many men to Dickinson.  The ratio of men to women in Dickinson is still probably 3:1.

Prior to the Oil Boom, and even now, attractive women do not want to live in western North Dakota because it is so barren, desolate, cold, with no where to go and nothing to do.  It was -31 degrees Fahrenheit this morning.  Most attractive women, take or make any opportunity to get out of here.

I have been in Dickinson for five years now.  I have compiled a list on my website titled, “List Of Attractive Women In Dickinson, North Dakota”, and I am up to a count of 23 attractive women within a 100 mile radius of Dickinson.  Most of these women on this list are married.

The only attractive women that I ever get to see, are on the internet.  About two months ago, Facebook began including in my list of “Friend Suggestions” or “People You May Know”, profiles of attractive women from around the world.  One of the Facebook profiles that stood out, was Maddie Gower of Pennsylvania.

I looked at Maddie Gower’s Facebook profile, and then I looked at Maddie’s mother’s Facebook profile, Heather Louise.  Both Maddie and her mother Heather Louise post several photographs to their Facebook profiles each day, and they each receive about 100 comments to their photos each day, from mostly men, from around the world.

I conversed with Maddie on Facebook, and I tried to make her aware and voiced my concern that she had disclosed too much personal information about herself, considering that her Facebook profile might get 1,000 views per day.  Maddie was aware of everything.

Though Maddie is beautiful, she is often mean, and sometimes cruel.  This is a common characteristic of young attractive women.  She doesn’t think about other’s feelings sometimes, or often times.

Maddie’s mother Heather has much more patience.  Heather is always, always pleasant, positive, thoughtful, considerate, and nice.  There are many things that I like about Heather.

She has a male golden retriever named “Teddy” who she buys treats and toys for.  She has several Siamese cats which she probably looks at as her children.  She likes flowers, and she likes to plant and grow flowers.

Heather likes to shop for clothes, try on clothes, model clothes, and take photographs of herself trying on clothes.  I admire and appreciate that Heather cares about her appearance, diets, exercises, and maintains a youthful appearance.  All of Heather’s Facebook commentors feel the same way.

Like most or all of Heather’s Facebook viewers, I wanted to send her a Christmas card.  I bought a Christmas card and I made a music CD with fifteen of my favorite songs, and I mailed it to Heather.  My Christmas card addressed to Heather arrived on December 24, and her daughter Maddie got it out of the mail.

Maddie confiscated the Christmas card and the music CD that I sent to her mother.  I knew that this was a possibility before I sent it to her.  I began wondering how anyone could send anything to Heather without her daughter intercepting it.

I realized that if one of Heahter’s Facebook viewers, wanted to send flowers to Heather, they could place an order with a local florist, and the florist could contact Heather to come and pick her flowers up.  So, I looked on the internet to try to find a good local florist, and I found one.  I sent an e-mail to this florist, explaining that Heather’s Facebook viewers would like to send flowers to Heather, without them being intercepted and thrown in the garbage.  I gave Heather’s address to this local florist, so that they could contact her.

I would like for Heather to feel appreciated.  With her oldest daughter Maddie who is 20, and her youngest daughter Emma who is 19, I think that Heather has just gone through 20 years of doing things for other people, giving up things for other people, and no one noticing as much as they should have.
