Very early yesterday morning I wrote a blog post article about a 23 year old young woman named Isabel Paige. I had watched a couple of her videos and thought that she was interesting enough and attractive enough to write about. I intended to find out more about her.
Later yesterday evening I was able to find Isabel’s last name, but very little additional information came up for her, which was not too surprising because she is only 23 years old. When I did a search using Isabel’s father’s name, this eventually led to a kind of unraveling of Isabel’s story about what she was doing.
Isabel’s mother and father live in Seattle, Washington. When Isabel was talking in her videos about living and working in Seattle, and returning to live on her family’s “farm”, I was mistaken, and so were many of her viewers. We thought that she had been working and living by herself in Seattle, far away from her home and family, but that was not the case, her family has a home in Seattle.
Isabel’s father’s name was linked to a street address in eastern Washington state on the outskirts of a National Forest. Using Google Earth Satellite View of this street address revealed that this was the property shown in many of Isabel’s videos, that she was referring to as her family’s “farm”.
The “family farm” that Isabel was talking about returning to in her videos, is not really a farm, because there isn’t any livestock such as horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, or chickens, nor is there any corral, barn, tractor, large farm field, or crop. There is a large garden that is maybe 1/2 acre in size. The property is a vacation home that was recently built or purchased by her mother and father.
I feel that I was somewhat duped or misled. From what Isabel was saying, she was talking about trying to live as a farmer, to be self-sufficient, and to live off-grid. A more accurate description of the situation, is that Isabel and her sister Natasha are staying in their parent’s vacation home.
When I read the comments to some of Isabel’s videos, some of the commentors were being very critical, saying that Isabel was just staying in her parent’s vacation home, or asking her to show video of the “farm”, or asking her what she was going to do in the winter. At first I didn’t understand these comments, but now I do.
I don’t think that anyone can live in this vacation home during the winter, for several different reasons. From the Google Earth Satellite View, there is a one-lane, dead-end dirt road that goes about one mile from the nearest house back to Isabel’s house. This one-lane dirt road is terraced into a very steep mountainside that is going to shed or avalanche snow onto this road November through March.
More than a mile from Isabel’s house, there is a one-lane wooden bridge over a river that provides access to Isabel’s house and three other houses. I don’t think that this wooden bridge is rated to carry heavy county road crew snow removal equipment that would be needed to efficiently plow more than one mile of road. I don’t think that the county crosses over this one-lane wooden bridge to clear the snow for access to these four houses on the far side of the river.
If you could find a private heavy equipment operator to drive a front end loader across the one-lane wooden bridge and clear more than one mile of snow off the road, it would take at least half a day and cost about $1,000 each time.
For the past eighteen years I have lived in heavy snow fall areas of northern Arizona, Idaho, and North Dakota. In the winter, many National Forest and National Park roads are closed off because they can not keep up with the snow removal. Bottoms of canyons with vacation homes become inaccessible for large amounts of time in the winter because of snow accumulation.
You can’t live in a mountainous area of Washington at the bottom of a canyon on the limited access side of the river, and expect to be able to make it to a job or a grocery store every day during the winter. There will be times in the winter when you couldn’t drive out of the far side of the canyon for weeks in a row.
I am not so angry that Isabel gave me and the other viewers the idea that she was going to live and work on her family’s farm, when it isn’t a farm, and she isn’t working on a farm, as I am irritated that Isabel doesn’t really have a viable realistic plan on how she is going to survive this winter.
I imagine that Isabel’s parents haven’t flat out told her “no” that she can’t live at that house in the winter, because this appears to still be her plan. Maybe her parents are thinking that she will see this for herself in November or December and get out of there before she becomes stuck and has to be rescued.

In the above blog post article, and in the comments below, I have tried to explain that I do not like, and believe that it is harmful, to lead YouTube viewers to believe that you can save money for one year at a low-paying job, quit your job, go buy some land in the mountains, build a tiny-house, and play in the woods most of the day.
Many of the commentors claim that I am just a jealous old man, what I say is not true, not accurate, not valid, and my points are baseless. I have decided to include a YouTube video made by a young woman, who on her own without reading my blog post article, came to many of the same conclusions as I did:
Update 4/5/21:
On 4/3/21 Isabel Paige uploaded a YouTube video titled something like “Finishing My Tiny-House”. About halfway through this video Isabel and her father were laughing about some people who had driven down the road to Isabel’s house recently, saying that they were trying to find someone who was selling eggs, and then they said, “You’re Isabel Paige, aren’t you? I watch your YouTube videos.”
Isabel and her father were laughing about how no one ever drives down the dead-end dirt road to their house, that this has never happened before, and what a coincidence it was that they watch Isabel’s YouTube videos. This was no coincidence. These people saying that they were “trying to find someone who was selling eggs”, may have been an inside joke reference to Isabel’s friend and YouTuber Hannah Lee Duggan who sells her eggs to in vitro fertilization clinics for $10K to make money.
Isabel and her father need to stop and think about these things:
- Isabel lives in a very remote, mountainous, and sparsely populated area on the border of a National Forest where real estate is very expensive. There are very few working farms in this area, especially NOT chicken farms. Is there anyone they have ever heard of who sells chicken eggs in their area?
- Considering that very few people live in the remote, mountainous, and sparsely populated area where Isabel lives, does it make any sense that anyone would drive that far just to buy chicken eggs when they could buy them much more easily in town?
- Eggs cost about $1.50 per dozen in the grocery store, and there is no shortage of chicken eggs in grocery stores. To get to Isabel’s house from town would cost about $10 in gas round trip, and take more than an hour. Who is going to drive more than an hour and spend $10 in gas to buy eggs that normally cost $1.50 per dozen in stores?
If you read the comments to this particular YouTube video of Isabel’s, about 30% of the viewers are saying, “Watch out for that egg guy! That’s no coincidence! You’re lucky your father happened to be there!” These people are correct.
In the comments section of this blog post article about Isabel, myself and other people wrote that it was not that difficult to find where Isabel is located, that she should be more careful, that it is not a good idea for her to walk alone in the woods without a firearm, and that it is not a good idea to show herself bathing naked in the river beside her house and other forest locations.
I hope that Isabel and her family will think about this and take this as a Wake-Up Call. I hope that Isabel’s viewers will continue to urge Isabel to be more careful. I believe that if Isabel’s father had not been there, and the people that drove up to Isabel were able to determine that she was alone, they might have stayed much longer just to be a nuisance, or they might have harmed her.
I am writing this Update in order to give this warning and offer some advice:
- Isabel made a couple of mistakes in talking about how she has no cell-phone signal, that she has begun walking to the top of the mountain every morning, and that she is not in-touch with her family and friends every day. Giving details like this have made her more vulnerable.
- As one of her women viewers pointed out in the comments, when Isabel is bathing naked or nearly naked in forest locations, her screaming and yelling is announcing her location and drawing people to her that otherwise might not have known that she was there.
- Isabel’s family needs to put a gate with a lock, or a chain with a lock across the beginning of their one-lane, dead-end dirt road that goes to their house, with a couple of very visible “No Trespassing” signs. Once someone goes beyond a “No Trespassing” sign, they can be arrested for trespassing, which is not the case if there is no sign.
- At the gate across the road, or the chain across the road, there needs to be one or two pole-mounted or tree-mounted wireless or cable-fed surveillance cameras that can clearly be seen. This is a deterrent. This can also give people at the house a view of what is happening at the gate. Some wireless cameras have a cell-phone application to allow you to watch them remotely.
- I recommend the use of multiple trail cameras, hidden at the perimeter of the property on each side, including the river side. This may point out some very determined and stealthy voyeurs.
- I recommend installing as many as six solar-charged, motion-activated flood lights on trees, poles, or structures. These very bright flood lights coming on at night can alert you that someone is at a specific location on your property. People who are trying to sneak around unnoticed do not like getting lit-up by flood lights every time they move.
- For this property, I recommend about six wireless motion-detectors positioned about one hundred feet from Isabel’s house, programmed to six different channels on a receiver box indicating which zone alarmed. It’s O.K. that deer and other animals set them off, it shows that the motion detectors are working.
- I recommend getting a dog of a working-dog breed, such as a German Shepherd. Because of the very cold winter climate in the mountains of Washington state, a short-haired dog like a Doberman or Rottweiler would suffer in the winter cold. Look up “Livestock Guardian Dogs” or “LGD”, these are very large dogs that are accustomed to living outdoors all year long guarding livestock from predators as large as mountain lions and bears.
- Lastly and Most Importantly, Isabel needs to carry a firearm with her at all times on the property and learn how to use it. A firearm will do her no good if it is unloaded, left in a closet, or she doesn’t know how to use it.
Carrying a firearm is the most important thing. Law Enforcement would take at least 30 minutes to reach this property, that is if the cell-phone call went through. Cameras are a deterrent, but they won’t stop something from happening. A dog can be poisoned, lured away, or shot.
Because Isabel and her family appear to be averse to firearms, I would recommend purchasing the most reliable, durable, easy to use, lightweight, least expensive to obtain and shoot firearm, the Ruger 10-22 rifle. You can buy a Ruger 10-22 at Walmart for about $300, just about any sporting goods store, and most gun stores. .22 LR long rifle bullets cost about 5 cents each, and they are one of the most quiet and least recoil rounds. This rifle would be the easiest for each of the family members to practice with and get accustomed to.

Their youngest daughter who is about 23 years old, frequently shows herself in either breast revealing, thigh revealing, crotch revealing, or nude bathing videos alone by herself in the woods. Neither Isabel, her mother, father, or sister have figured out or realized that Isabel is attracting, inviting, luring, tempting, daring thousands of viewers to come and find her, combined with the fact that she has given enough personal information for people to be able to drive to the exact spot where she is located, alone by herself.
Rather than create an off-grid, sustainable farmstead, Isabel has made this property unsafe for herself, her sister, and her family. Something else that is irritating me more and more each day, is that Isabel is continuing on with this charade or ruse that she worked and saved her own money in order for her to be able to get a piece of land and build her own minimal house. The fact is, the piece of land where Isabel is building her minimal house between a mountainside and a creek, adjacent to a national forest, this land probably sells for $20,000-$40,000 per acre, with the smallest zoning-restricted parcel size being 10 acres. Her mother and father had to pay between $200,000-$400,000 for their approximately 10 acre piece of land, and they are allowing Isabel to build something on their land. The stupid young people who watch Isabel’s videos, especially women, according to what Isabel says, they think that they can go work at a waitress job for one year, save $5,000, then quit their job, go buy land beside a mountain stream, and start building a house. No, no, no, Isabel’s mother and father had to work and save for about 30 years to be able to buy this $200K-$400K piece of land.

They should be scared that their daughter is showing her life on the internet. They should have also taught her that making up BS to get views is not honest. I knew when I watched the video and her telling of her trip to OZ and living in Namaste land that she was a fraud. She is “living” on her family’s land so, no taxes paid by her. No real job to make money to PAY taxes or anything else. She’s basically camping on Daddy’s land. I think it’s awesome to be able to do that but, if you’re gonna spew “love the world” BS, at least be straight up about it. However, I think it’s a little creepy that someone went to the effort to Google satellite her locations. I bet dad has long guns and can shoot though.

If you read Isabelle’s father’s resume on LinkedIn, it shows that he graduated from college in 1983. From 1983-1994, eleven years, he doesn’t show what he did, probably work at a job like everyone else. Then from 1995-2013, a period of eighteen years, he started three different companies that manufactured consumer products.
So once he graduated from college in 1983, he spent the next thirty-two years working so that he could afford the $500,000 property that he purchased in 2015 in eastern Washington. My point is, it took Isabelle’s parents thirty-two years of working in order to be able to afford this property, this can’t be duplicated by a young person working a low-paying job for a year or two or three.

You know NOTHING about this area, so why do you assume so much about her during the winter. I lived in the surrounding area for over 16 yrs and how the county handles the winter in the canyons and the surrounding roads. My husband at the time was a lineman for the local PUD. For them to get to certain areas, they needed to clear the roads. If the area was at high risk for avalanche, the wouldn’t have been able to build there. Also, the property they have was bought many, many years ago. If you watched any of her vlogs, you’d know that her parents purchased this property & built this house b/c it was their dream to eventually live there. This girl, after watching her vlogs, is well-read, very self-sufficient, very smart, has many skills and can take care of herself and this “farm” all by herself! OH, it cracked me up that you couldn’t get over the fact she was calling this house & property “the farm” just irked me! Again, have you visited WA state? Have you visited houses with more than 1-2 acres in WA state or even the area where she lives? If you have that much property… it’s a farm! For example… my ex in laws have a place on Lake Roosevelt here in WA state… it’s a double-wide in a park on the lake & they call it their cabin. Is it really a cabin? NO. If anything, it’s a lake house … but it’s their “cabin” … it’s their get-away house & here in WA, we call that a cabin! So, her “farm” is and will ACTUALLY be a farm in March. I have watched a few episodes and came to the conclusion that the whole scenario is either faked or she is extremely lucky that she hasn’t been seriously injured.
In one episode she was hiking and almost stepped on a rattler, after which she noted that she was alone and miles from anything without even a cell phone. Then she mentioned that there were bears and mountain lions in the area but she wasn’t worried about them
In another episode she was hiking alone wearing sandles and shorts 15 miles one way. She had a cut on her leg and her feet were blistered and bleeding . She encountered a bear, she did not carry bear repellent and when she ran out of water she drank directly from a river. She broke every rule for wilderness hiking. She walks around outside in the dark as if she lived in the burbs.
She claims too be living off the grid but has electricity and running water. How did she pay for all this working in a grocery store?

I agree with what you wrote. In addition, I think that it is foolish for any young woman to routinely wander alone far into the forest unarmed, and make herself even more vulnerable and defenseless by taking off all of her clothes to go swimming and bathing. Probably why women say that they feel so free and liberated doing these things, is because they have an internal instinct feeling telling them that what they are doing is not a good idea, that it’s risky and dangerous. It’s like young women being warned by their mother and father not to do things, but they feel the compulsion to do whatever it is that they were warned not to do.

It is tiresome for me to have to repeat the same things over and over again. My opinion is that I think that Isabel was misleading viewers in regard to many things. For example, if you look at her “About” page on her YouTube channel, it begins with, “I am on a journey to bring abandoned farmland back to life and grow organic fruits and vegetables…” To be very, very clear, there is nothing “abandoned” about the property that she is living on, it was purchased by her mother and father for $500K in 2015. In order for people to not be misled, it is important for them to understand that there is not “abandoned farmland” in Washington state, land is very expensive in Washington state. And, for the Spring, Summer, and Fall of 2020, the only thing that I ever saw Isabel and her family plant on their property was small patch of garlic onions.

Isabel is really open about that her parents worked really hard for a long time to buy the piece of land. If you had watched her every video consciously, you would have been able to tell. Isabel mentions only that she worked and saved to be able to build tiny house and in one video she also thanked her parents for the opportunity to stay in their home (mentioned in the article), because she knows that it is not a possibility for everyone – to not pay rent and save more money.

Yes, please, please let me know the YouTube video that Isabel Paige made stating that her parents worked hard for a very long time to buy this piece of land, that she thanked her parents to be able to stay in their home, and that the money she saved from working was enough to build her tiny house. Please let me know. I have a strong belief that this YouTube video you are referring to is several months AFTER my blog post article “More About Isabel Paige And My Disappointment”, and AFTER the Jasmine Cherry YouTube video that explains Isabel is living on her parents vacation/2nd home property, she didn’t pay for the electric or water-well on the property, she didn’t pay for the land, and AFTER myself and other commentors wrote in the comments to my article that Isabel’s mother and father were millionaires, with a $2 million home back in Seattle, and that Isabel was living on her parents vacation property. I don’t think Isabel started disclosing what was really going on until it began to come out publicly.

The first video that you referenced in your reply, was made five months AFTER my blog post article “More About Isabel Paige And My Disappointment”, where I explained that Isabel was living on the 2nd home/vacation property of her parents, and NOT on an abandoned farm. After I wrote my blog post article explaining that this was Isabel’s parents’ 2nd home/vacation property, and myself and other commentors began to write that Isabel’s parents were multi-millionaires living in Seattle, this was not a farm, but was listed in corporate registration documents as a start-up attempt at a legal marijuana growing operation, then is became necessary for Isabel to address the actual truth of the situation.
The second video that you referenced, was recorded with Isabel in a room in her parents’ house in SEATTLE, and she was acknowledging that she was recording this video in the home of her parents in SEATTLE. Her mention at this point in time of living in her parents’ home, she was talking about living in this home in SEATTLE. Weeks later when she began filming her parents “farm” in eastern Washington state, she was describing this as an “abandoned farm that she was going to bring back to life and live sustainably”. No, the truth was that this was a piece of prime real estate that Isabel’s parents purchased for $500K in 2015, and then it looks like her father spent another $100K-$150K to build a house on this land which became their 2nd home/vacation property.
Andre, it seems like most of Isabel’s followers are either young stupid people, older stupid people, millenials with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, young adults with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, or young adults whose parents used drugs during pregnancy, because all of Isabel’s followers don’t seem to be able to figure anything out for themselves, have any common sense, have any real-world work experience, and can’t read and comprehend anything. Day after day, responding to Isabel’s followers is like being a high school teacher of a slow-learning/learning disability class. With Isabel’s videos in February 2021, the take-away should be that Isabel almost died, very easily could have died from being alone, not having heavy winter clothing, not having cell phone service, not having safety measures in place such as having a satellite phone, CB radio, emergency locator beacon, or sleeping bag in her vehicle.

I was getting ready to ask, why doesn’t anyone else see what is going on, you see it. But if you are retired, I suppose that you are old enough to be able to watch and figure it out. Of all Isabel’s videos produced this spring, summer, and fall of 2020, the only planting that was shown was her family planting garlic onions. You can’t even eat one meal consisting of primarily garlic onions. How is this “sustainable living” ? How is this “farming” ?

Let’s see where this is going. Let’s see what happens. Isabel had her tiny-house completed by the Fall of 2020. All along Isabel has been talking about “…returning to her family’s farm…sustainable living…organic farming…”, let’s see her get to work farming. It is going to take a lot of work this Spring, working all day long, five days a weeks, to plow, plant, water, and tend to enough plants to live on. This means planting plenty of corn, potatoes, beans, squash, cucumbers, carrots, melons, tomatoes, cabbage, lettuce, peas, onions, because these are the things that she eats, she’s a vegetarian.
If April and May passes without Isabel planting at least a full 1/2 acre (148ft x 148ft), of most of the food crops listed above, then Isabel is full of shit. Everything she has been saying has been bullshit, if she doesn’t plant at least enough food for one person to almost survive on.
If you quit your job, build your tiny-house, and talk about living a simple life, “sustainable living”, and you don’t plant enough food to survive on in April and May, then you really aren’t talking about a simple life and “sustainable living”, you are actually talking about fucking off and not working.
My impression is that Isabel has already become bored with her tiny-house, simple living, and planting food, because it’s hard, it’s uncomfortable, it’s lonely, it’s a lot of work. I believe that Isabel is going to begin traveling more and more, because traveling is going to make her unavailable to deal with the reality of having to live in a tiny-house, uncomfortable living, and having to plant and grow your own food.

I have a suspicion that you are probably Isabelle’s father. If you are, I am disappointed in you too. I do not approve of the industry that you are currently in, especially because of your children, how they are going to be influenced and impacted by what you are doing. As a matter of fact, I think that they already have been negatively affected. You have not set a good example. Isabelle, and apparently you too, think that it is O.K. for Isabelle to have these YouTube video thumbnails of her bathing naked in the river in order to lure people in by means of sexual arousal,and then you dupe these people into believing that a 22 year old young lady with no job has acquired a $300,000 piece of property, a $6,000 vehicle, and is spending $15,000 to build a mini-house on a trailer frame.
If you want to know how I got Isabelle’s father’s name, do a Google search for Isabelle, then you will see some other possible last names in the Google search results. Use these names to do more Google searches. Use the Google results you get to perform more searches, and eventually you have a whole pool of information like family members, addresses, addresses of property owned, Facebook profiles, LinkedIn profiles, and more. It’s a good thing that you are aware now. No matter where you live, if your daughter goes out beside the highway every day to take her clothes off and bathe in the river, she is probably going to attract attention.

Regarding your statement, “…no roads being plowed all winter.”, if you watched Isabel’s YouTube videos in January, February, and March, Isabel usually mentioned or showed that she was having to walk 1/2-1 miles in the snow to get to her Toyota 4Runner that she left parked at her neighbor’s house because the access road to her house was covered in snow, impassible, and not being plowed.
It’s not just me that looked up some of the facts about what Isabel was doing, because it didn’t add up. Look at the Jasmine Cherry video, read some of the comments left here.
I am not “stalking” or “obsessed” with Isabel. I wrote a “before I knew” and an “after I knew” blog post article about her a year ago, that’s it. If people wouldn’t leave comments disagreeing with what I wrote, I wouldn’t have addressed this subject any further.

I do not see that this man is a “sick fuck.” I really believe he is trying to demonstrate that this young woman is making herself very vulnerable and that she is easy to track because she has given out so much information. She has gained a large following. I, a 60 year old woman, have watched a number of her videos. I’ve read a lot of the comments here and there is a lot of value in what is being said.

I’m 22 myself and also trying to find a way to sustain myself.
Since I’m her age and also have her view I totally understand she isn’t scared at all. If something happens, she just has to call and her family is there. Also it is beautiful that she is trying to live and understand life, sadly too many people don’t.
If her parents were scared they’d say ‘no’.
But if they were scared it’s because they wouldn’t trust her that she can do it on her own.
Her parents DO trust her and that’s all she needs.
And there are scary things that can happen. But would you really let that small chance stop you from truely living your life?
There are so many people on earth who try to tell someone else what’s better for them. But you don’t know what’s better for her. Only she does.
Luckily she doesn’t listen cus there are so many people who regret things they never did cus someone else told them not to.
But in my opinion she is thinking freely and you are thinking limited. (not tryna be rude btw!)
Also a plan isn’t necessary. Just like everybody else she lives in the moment with her body and like just a few on this earth she lives in the moment with her mind, spirit and soul.

That’s fine that you are trying to find your way in life. But I don’t like anyone setting young people up for failure, disappointment, and sending them in the wrong direction.
For those young people who want to live off-grid, a low-cost, sustainable lifestyle, Isabel’s videos are misleading you and other young people. The piece of land that Isabel is building her tiny-house on, is about ten acres that costs at least $300,000. The kind of land that is shown in her videos beside a stream in Washington, the smallest parcel size for this kind of land is county zoning restricted to about ten acres and $300,000, because the county and the existing property owners do not want low-income people or hippies to be able to purchase 1/4 acre lots for $10,000 and place trailers on them beside the river, wreaking havoc on the scenery.
The property that Isabel is living on was purchased by her mother and father. Her mother and father built up two successful businesses over the course of twenty years from when they were about twenty-five through forty-five years old. Her mother and father worked for twenty years at jobs before they were able to buy this piece of property!!!
If there are young people watching Isabel’s videos, who want to buy their own land and build their own tiny house, I suggest that they work in the construction trades for at least eight years, and save their money. You will start out as a laborer, carrying lumber, concrete blocks, drywall, and roofing shingles. After a while, you might get to help frame or help shingle. Maybe you might get to be an apprentice electrician or an apprentice plumber. You had better be watching and learning what all of the other trades are doing. After eight years of work, you might have both the knowledge and the money to buy a small piece of land and build your own small house.
Does this sound like a lot of work? Why do you think your mother, father, and other people had to work their whole lives?

Or you can do what I did and get any job until you’ve saved enough to buy a real decrepit old house that you can renovate and sell, and after doing that 5-6 times you might have worked your way up to a rather nice piece of property. Doing this in a comfortable manner might get you to your dream in 20-30 years or so. I didn’t mind, it’s been a free lifestyle, and I took time to travel as well. Some people get started with a loan, maybe from a family member.
The help of family is a priviledge Isabel has, and I never watched many of her videos before I got the impression that she had support all the way. I have seen nothing deceiptful in her videos, and getting money for making videos is just one of the benefits of modern times, perfect when living far from other work situations. She’s got a lot of creative talent, why not use it for making money off videos? People love her content. I’m sure she’ll be a great farmer as well, together with her family.
But she also takes all kinds of extra work, and she made it through the winter through snowy roads and all. Where there’s a will there’s a way.
And the farm used to be a farm a long time ago, but now it is abandoned farmland, so there’s nothing wrong with calling it a farm. They obviously plan to farm it again, and whether it’s for just food or for CBD or both or whatever doesn’t really matter. The one thing you are right about is the danger she might have put herself in, in all kinds of ways. I hope she rectifies all that, piece by piece as she realizes her mistakes.

You aren’t concerned about what other young ppl do, you’re obsessed w/Isabel! Something about her freedom really pisses you off, & it’s scary. So what if her parents worked hard & bought the land! She admits it’s their land! The 2nd house, NOT the tiny house, has ants in it, btw. Also, how dare you imply that she didn’t build her own tiny house – we all WATCHED her do it, w/help from her family! What I think is that a female living so free rattles you – like the kind of men who can’t just let something be, & feel they must tame it, kill it, own it, protect it, &/or control it. So, let’s break down some logic to set you straight.
Isabel lived & worked on a cruise ship, which means NO bills like rent, utilities, etc. Many young ppl work on ships bc of that, AND they get to travel for free. They SAVE $ &, guess what, it builds up after time. She asked permission to build on her parents’ land, & they obliged. Isabel has been working for years, too, & managed to work at a health food store, so she already knows how to live cheaply & sustainably. Is she fat? Does she eat junk food? Is she sitting around getting high, doing nothing? NO! She works hard, & it shows. Have you never had opportunities to save real money?
Clearly, the tools she’s using are not her own – she has said they’re her father’s. Did you not see in multiple vids w/her Dad how he teaches everything he’s doing as he does it, & Isabel learns, then does it on her own?
Did you catch that she doesn’t even have most of her vids monetized bc she prefers to use copyrighted music that better fits the cinematography she’s going for? Did you notice that she recently had a sponsored video, which will boost what she can do to the tiny house, the farm, & everything else she’ll be working on this spring & summer?
Her friends that you speak so lowly of include a young man whom she’s seen off & on who is a brilliant & talented musician (like herself) & another young woman about the same age as her; therefore, she has a small circle of ppl she trusts. She’s not asking for new friends in her life, OR creepy old men to dissect her life using wildly inaccurate assumptions.
I’m going to analyze you, & see how you like it! Fyi, altho my college degree is in political science, & I graduated law school, I minored in psych, & would’ve pursued that if I had more patience w/ppl.

I think that you have many of your facts wrong. I do not think that Isabel ever worked on a cruise ship. Isabel went to college for a few semesters. Isabel lived in a van in Hawaii for a while. Isabel traveled to the Far East for a while. Isabel lived at her parents home in Seattle for a while. Hannah Lee Dugan worked on a cruise ship, not Isabel.
The property that Isabel’s mother and father purchased was not a marijuana farm, it was Isabel’s mother and father who filed some incorporation paper work to create a marijuana farm on this property.
As far as Isabel building her own tiny-house, I watched some of her YouTube videos where she cut a few boards and she screwed in a few boards for a total of about five minutes, and then she went and spent about an hour making a salad, and about an hour eating her salad, looking clean and fresh without her hair or clothing being a mess, meanwhile her father walks in appearing dirty, sweat-soaked, and so worn-out tired that he can hardly move.
It’s not just me that notices that Isabel spends a few hours in the morning making coffee, drinking coffee, going for a hike, bathing in the river. Then it’s the same thing again in the afternoon, taking a hike, bathing in the river, taking more than an hour to make and eat a salad. From what Isabel is showing in her videos, there is not any time spent going to a job or working at a job, from what she is showing herself doing recreational activities all day, it takes up too much time for her to be going to a full-time job.
Most young people, especially non-college graduates work at low-paying jobs. Even working for 40 hours per week does not pay enough to pay all of their bills. Yet Isabel shows herself not working at a full-time job, she is able to spend most of the day doing recreation and not go without anything, on the contrary, she can just get on a plane and go spend a week with Hannah Lee Duggan and a week or two with her boyfriend. This just does not add up accounting-wise. Are other young people supposed to be able to do recreational activities for most of the day, not go to a full-time job, travel when they want, and not go without food, clothing, utilities, a place to live, cell phone, internet, vehicle, vehicle repairs, car insurance? How do you do that?

The reason I know this is because one lady is always retired and bought a land and she finds Isabel very inspiring. Then she will attack you and their accusations are that you are a pervert or you are jealous. They seem to be really mean to you and they seem to take it personally. This is what I have noticed In Isabel’s YouTube comments section. Some of these responses might be from her own parents disguised as her fans. They will keep coming at you. I think that most people could handle having their mother and father pay for some acreage outside of a National Forest, build a house there, and let them stay there for free, no rent, no utilities, no internet bill, no water bill, no property tax, no homeowner’s insurance. Meanwhile, they get to go hiking, and spend a couple of hours per day making salads to eat. And if they get bored or cold, they get a plane ticket and time-off to spend a couple of weeks in Florida vacationing.

I’m torn about Isabel’s videos. On the one hand, it is misleading. She makes the choice to live this way appear easily achievable. BUT, I do appreciate the message, the essence of what she’s doing and sharing.
The give-away that she was from a family with money for me was her description of living in Australia and New Zealand. Even though it sounds as though she lived in inexpensive accommodations and worked for her own upkeep, the cost of the journey alone, never mind the cost of living with no income until she found her ashram situation preclude less well off teenagers.
HOWEVER – more power to her for taking that path when I’m sure her peers were mostly headed to university.
Selfishly I’m glad she is on her parent’s property and less “off the grid” than is suggested from her videos. I’ve longed for such a lifestyle, but adding up costs realistically led me to realize it may be out of reach for me.
I’m 46 and my only son will go to college in a few years. I’m a single mother and a teacher, so you can imagine that I have meager savings. One must have some money – a decent chunk – stashed away for emergencies. Just as the roof of a suburban home, that of a tiny house would need repairing or replacing if damaged. A new roof isn’t cheap
I am a decent woodworker, love it, and have done enough of it to know that the pile of lumber she takes from wasn’t cheap. And it looks like she’s using a 12″ dual bevel sliding compound DeWalt miter saw. That’s no cheap thing. Which had me scratching my head wondering where she got the money to afford all that. Also, her linen clothes are clearly expensive. And ironed.
BUT – still knowing all that, I really like her. I appreciate her videos. I appreciate the sustainability message. It’s refreshing to see a young woman with such appreciation for the environment, wilderness, nature, since many of her same-age YouTube counterparts are peddling make-up and fashion. (Actually I don’t know that to be true. It’s the impression I get.)
Perhaps it’s like watching anything on telly. You need a suspension of disbelief. If we view her videos as entertainment and not “how to,” we can appreciate them.
Meanwhile, the mountains are calling…can I afford to go?

I don’t know if you live in the U.S., England, Australia, or New Zealand. To answer your questions about where Isabel gets her money, I looked her up, got her family members’ names, and recently I looked up Isabel’s father. It appears from his own biography that I read, that he began designing ordinary household consumer products, but with unusual colors, and designs that would make them more appealing than just an ordinary mop, broom, dog bowl, etc. Stores began carrying his more colorful products, then he sold the company that he started. He did this starting, then selling his company, at least twice.
This property that Isabel’s parents purchased in eastern Washington State, her parents are in eastern Washington State, in this area, it looks like, to start a legal marijuana growing operation. Isabel has often made mention of returning to live on her family’s “farm”, yet we viewers have never been shown any crop. Yes, Isabel and her parents are indeed probably interested in farming.
When I read about what appears to be Isabel’s father starting a legal marijuana growing operation, I began to notice that it looks like Isabel’s eyes are often very glassy and bloodshot, and she prepares these voluminous meals and eats like a fiend, and now I think I know why. I think that some of her viewers already suspected what I now suspect.
If you live in the U.S., and you don’t earn a lot of money from being a school teacher, I hope that you will receive a teacher’s pension when you retire. The beautiful places in the U.S. that you read about, like Santa Fe NM, Sedona AZ, Flagstaff AZ, Jackson Hole WY, you will not likely ever be able to afford to live in the well-publicized beautiful places.
However, if you do research, there are rural areas and rural towns across the U.S. that once had larger populations, but most of the people moved away, leaving single-family homes, that sell for $5,000-$50,000. You have to be really careful about what you are potentially getting into. Is this a nice area with nice people, who just had people move away for better work opportunities, or has this deserted town been taken over by criminals and drug users?
I don’t want to steer you in the wrong direction with some of these examples, but I have been in Wyoming towns where the population went from 5,000 people in year 2000, down to 800 people in year 2013 when my friend bought some cheap property there. There were many vacant single-family homes, and I believe that some were for sale by the city/county for the property taxes owed. There are towns like this in Nevada, North Dakota, and other mid-western states.
If you are going to retire and receive a pension, you could purchase a $5,000-$50,000 house on a double or triple lot, or even acreage in a town or county where most of the people have moved away for work, and have your own place where you can garden and make things. But keep in mind, that there will not likely be any good local employment opportunities, nor any good local stores, and you may not have any buyers for your house if you want to leave. But some of these rural areas are beautiful, even though most people moved away.
Start looking at many of the YouTube videos of a 40 year old single woman “Prepper Princess”, who just moved from California to Bullhead City Arizona.

Yes, I have seen this in bars, nightclubs, parties, and in other social gatherings, where a female friend is very protective of her female friend, under the pretense of looking out for her, when if the truth were told, the female who is supposedly being protective, wants to be the one who is going home with her. 25% of the time, the female friend just doesn’t want to be alone at the end of the night, 25% of the time the female friend has un-admitted lesbian desires, and 25% of the time the friend does have lesbian intentions and a goal of having sex with her.
Another facet of Isabel which I was aware of, and never spoke about before is this: If Isabel’s father has provided her with her first Toyota 4Runner (the one that she wrecked); allows Isabel the use of his vacation home in the mountains; bought, transported the building materials, and built Isabel’s tiny-house; allows Isabel’s tiny-house to occupy his land; pays for the electric utilities that go to Isabel’s tiny-house; has Isabel on his automobile insurance and health insurance; comes and helps Isabel whenever she needs help; Why does Isabel need a boyfriend? Her father IS her boyfriend.
According to the Holy Bible, young men and women were supposed to become married, leave their parents’ home, and cleave to each other. Historically, whenever possible, young women were supposed to come with a “Dowry”, an amount of property that would go with the daughter upon marriage, to make marriage of a daughter a more attractive proposition to possible suitors.
One reason why some fathers in these current modern times become the husband to their daughters, is to spare himself and his first-wife, the high likelihood of having to constantly financially rescue their young daughter and her ill-chosen idiot husband, with car repairs, medical bills, unpaid rent, unpaid mortgage, and the spawn of idiot children which are a cross between their dim-witted daughter and her idiot husband.
Also, a really first-rate, top-notch, excellent daughter, would have by now tricked some able-bodied unsuspecting young man into marrying her, and manipulated him into doing all the work around the property for free, so that her father doesn’t have to anymore.

Why does Isabel make YouTube videos showing and telling people the details of what she is doing and what is going on in her life? How could she then expect people to “mind their own business” after showing and telling people the details of what she is doing in her life?
Regarding your statement “…a young woman who is self-sufficient…”, I can’t believe that you can say something so stupid. Isabel’s mother and father purchased the land that Isabel lives on, they built the house that she gets electricity from, they built the well that she gets water from, they pay the utilities, property taxes, and homeowner’s insurance. Isabel’s father picked up, delivered, and unloaded the lumber, roofing, windows, doors, hardware for Isabel’s tiny-house. Isabel’s father did 85% of the work constructing and erecting Isabel’s tiny-house using his professional tools and experience. When it came time to prepare the garden, Isabel’s entire family showed up and did 90% of the work, while Isabel did about 10% of the work. If Isabel has health insurance, it’s probably on her mother and father’s health insurance which they pay for. Isabel’s automobile insurance is probably also on her mother and father’s auto insurance policy which they pay for. In what way is Isabel self-sufficient, her parents pay for and provide just about everything for her, the same as if she was 10 years old. In what way is she self-sufficient?

It took me a long time to get what she is looking for. I am now retired, have paid off my 47-acre wooded property with lake and can now live the life she is showing on her videos. I like watching them because, although I know this isn’t something you can really do in real life when you are 23, it is something to aspire to for later in life. I can watch her videos and be inspired for now. I can get ideas of what I can do NOW….do what she does, now that I have the time and am getting my social security. I am in great health, love to exercise, have always ate healthy vegetarian food and am able to finally live a life like this. Although made-up, it is an inspiration.

I have lived where I live for 30 years an no one has ever bothered me. I can walk in my own woods without needing to carry a firearm or take a dog. I have walked in these woods for 30 years. I can even swim naked if I want to and no one will see me. Try as hard as you want but you will not scare me at all. I don’t live by a big city and am totally comfortable on my own land. Have you ever seen video of a rabid fox, raccoon, coyote, dog? They attack people. We, too, have some 50 acres and a hand built homestead. My grandson was much like Isabel is. He was killed before he reached 21 by a drunk driver. He was in the process of planning a cabin on our land. I grew up in Phoenix in the inner city. My parents were not broad minded people, nor were my siblings. I learned about war in VN and I also learned about simple peasant people. About the beauty of the land. We can teach our children well so they can turn out well. Living and loving life. I don’t walk in my woods with a weapon, though I’ve paced a young mountain lion and many black bears. I live in the midst of 72 square miles of state forest near the Canadian border. I’m glad the author of this piece is not my neighbor.

When I was referring to Isabelle being snowed-in for the winter, you do know that she is living in a very mountainous area of eastern Washington State? The same latitude as high-snowfall areas of Idaho, Montana, and North Dakota. O.K., I just looked it up, the annual snowfall where she is living is 76 inches per year!!!
When it comes to the possibility of people being actually hurt in real life, No, I don’t like it. Unintelligent, young, low-income people are some of the most vulnerable people, they don’t have the earning potential, employment options, or money to recover from a disaster. It’s not funny at all to lead stupid, young, low-income people to think that they could save $5,000, go buy a piece of land, quit their job, build a small house, and live sustainably on their land, out in the middle of nowhere, with no job, and no income.

I really like your writing. You present a very logical perspective, and you have a sense about you that is interesting. I came here because I was developing an interest in Isabel, and I googled her, finding your blog. I really appreciate what you have written, because I was starting to feel bad about myself when I saw that men I know were really into Isabel, and I was jealous that she could live such a carefree life and have so much fun while I have to work and be normal. I always try to tell people that if you see someone in nice clothing, eating good food, and in a beautiful environment all the time, chances are they have some access to a lot of money. And if they are very young, most of the time it is not their own money. It’s very easy to frolic around carefree when you have daddy’s weed and money behind you if you fall. Your “outing” of Isabel made me feel so much better. That said, she’s a cutie, she has a great eye, her food looks amazing, and she’s fascinating to watch. Her videos have inspired me to buy a video camera, and take some short trips to film beautiful things. She also makes me want to eat better, and to take time pursuing the finer, simpler things in life. No matter what anyone here says, if they think you’re bitter or something, I think what you’ve said is really helpful. We all need to remind ourselves to consume media with discernment, and not lose our heads because of some pretty pictures.

Thank you for the compliments. Probably about 40%-50% of Isabel’s younger viewers felt inadequate because Isabel seemed to have achieved so much, to drop out of college, travel to and live in the far East for a year or so, live in Hawaii, move to the mountains on her own land and build her own tiny-house. This is not reality.
I have been alive for 51 years now, I have lived and worked in about seven different states. Everyone that I have known and met in my entire life, family members, friends, their family members, co-workers, their family members, acquaintances, classmates, employers, and employees, whether they were talented or not, intelligent or not, good looking or not, they all struggled to survive, especially the young people, with the only exception being people from wealthy families who did not have to worry about money.
I have probably explained this to other commentors: people who work full-time in hospitality, restaurant, or retail usually struggle to pay their rent even with roommates, their car payments for their older used vehicle, and their car insurance. They live pay-check-to-pay-check, just barely making enough money to keep up with their bills. No way do they make enough money to travel the World for a year, they don’t hardly have enough money to go out of town for the weekend.
For most college graduates who are able to find higher-paying employment in engineering or business, with the amount of student loan debt that they have to repay, if they are single they will usually have to stay continually employed for on average at least eight years before they will be able to afford a modest home with a large mortgage. Then they will be a slave to home mortgages for the next thirty years, working at least 40 hours per week, fifty weeks a year, in order to pay for their home, if they are lucky enough to always have a job.
The only people who I have not seen struggle like this, are the children of wealthy parents, whose parents are always there to help them out.

At first, people like you will be digging free health care, free college education, free job training, jobs programs, equalized pay that is higher than what people like you would normally be paid. I’m a 24 years old Italian girl who watch Isabel’s videos (sorry for my English) and I agree with you, for me was the same. I watched her videos thinking that her at the age of 23 has done soo many things in life like traveling in hauwaii, building a tiny house, living alone in the mountains, and me, instead, just go on holiday in the summer 3 hours from home. And this make me feel very bad, especially to not have a life like Isabel. Just as I was wasting my life just to go the university and then work full time for the rest of my life. Plus I was fashinated from Isabel because I really thinked he did all alone and worked in the grocery shop to afford that life. But now I understand so many things 😅
I wanna to add (if someone did not write so far) that in one video Isabel said that her parent’s dream was to live in the mountain and start a farm but they coud not afford their bills…

You should have watched more than a few of her videos before coming to these idiot conclusions about her. If you watch from the start, as i did, and work your way through, she explains everything, her whole situation. She says who owns what and what she would like to do. There is no making anything up or trying to dupe people. She is just a girl, trying to make her way through life the best way possible and doing it in a better way than most of us ever will in respect to her impact on the planet. She is enchanting and vulnerable, but determined and in some ways older than her years. She has dreams and wishes that dont always come about, but this is the thing called life, we get ideas and hopes and then things take a different turn. She may learn some hard lessons about being out there in winter, but some might say the only way we learn in life is to make some mistakes and then move on.
She may be able to do what she does because of the financial position her family is in, she says over and over that she understands most people may not be able to live with their parents while saving all of their wages (did you miss that bit?). I am in no doubt as a viewer that she has opportunities i never had and she is using them to better her life, good on her. I have no idea why anyone would think anything else, because it is all there in the videos. I really wish people could be a bit kinder to each other.
Please do better research before you write drivel about someone in the future, you may then write something actually worth reading.

I watched at least ten of Isabel Paige’s YouTube videos, and all I heard was about living on her family’s “farm”, her pursuing sustainable living on her family’s “farm”, and her building her tiny-house.
What I saw in her videos on her family’s “farm” was no livestock of any kind whatsoever such as chickens, turkeys, pigs, goats, sheep, cattle. I saw no crop, no farm fields, and no farm equipment of any kind. I did see a 1/2 acre size garden plot with no plants, with six foot tall fence posts around it like it was going to be fenced with six foot tall chain link fence which I have never seen before for any garden. Then I found out what kind of crop they were going to grow….not fruits and vegetables.
When Isabel was building her own tiny-house, I saw her sweat-soaked exhausted father had dragged out all of his very, very expensive power tools, laid everything out, measured everything out, ordered a huge amount of lumber, and worked all day measuring, cutting, carrying, placing, nailing, and screwing everything together using his lifetime of knowledge and his mechanical engineering degree, while his 23 year old daughter cuts, nails, and screws a few boards like she did it herself. Her father worked all day until he was dead-tired and exhausted building that house.

I am not obsessed with Isabelle, I wrote a “before” and an “after” article about her. I was and am disappointed in her. It just goes to show that you can’t trust women, all of them turn out to be dishonest and manipulators. I would rather have a bat or skunk in my house rather than Isabelle, they would cause less damage. Having Isabelle around would be about the same damage as having a goat in your house.

firstly, Isabel has said its her parents farm they wanted to have but never got it off the ground her mother grows tons of things at her other property. they are planning on moving their full time with the kids help to try and establish a farm again. the equipment is owned by her father and stays there full time from what I gathered. she may make it, she may not, need to watch a few more videos before you make such a judgement on someone.

And, no one is obligated to meet my standards, while they are suggesting to me that I should follow their standards.
You are correct, I take the time to answer or reply to most comments, unlike most YouTubers. Do you like fake politicians? I am going to address one point that you brought up, “Would I be as critical of a male living in the woods?”, because I had already been thinking about this, I will probably even write an entire blog post article about it.
If I would have said to my mother and father when I was 18 or 19 years old, that I wanted to drop out of college, and go travel around the World, they would have said, “Jesus fucking Christ, are you serious?” Then they would have thought about it for another 30 seconds, and said, “Well, good luck.” and then walked away, meaning we aren’t going to pay for it, you are on your own.
When I was 18-19 years old, my parents were approximately my age now 51 years old, and I know now what they knew then, that when you just finish high school it is a good idea to go ahead and get your college done, if you are extremely restless, at least get your Associates degree, meaning you complete all of your General Education, college level math, chemistry, physics, biology, English, psychology, economics, World History, maybe a foreign language. If you don’t at least complete two years of college when you are young, you likely never will when you become older, it is so much harder to try to do this when you are older.
What I know now, and what my parents knew then, is that you don’t have to be a waitress, construction laborer, or low-paid worker in fast-food or retail if you can demonstrate that you have college level reading, writing, math, planning, and thinking ability.
The difference is, my parents wanted me to be able to support myself, and do better than just survive, because they were not going to be able to continue to support me financially. But if you read about Isabel’s parents, and see what is going on, apparently they are willing and do in fact support Isabel financially. You or she can try to argue that they don’t, but she was living on their land, in their house, using their utilities, and probably is covered by their health insurance.
If I would have said to my mother and father, “Hey, I’m going to build a tiny-house on your property and live in it.”, they would have said, “No you’re not.” If I would have continued on telling them my plan, “It’s going to take about $10,000 worth of lumber, $2,000 worth of windows and doors, $2,000 worth of sink, toilet, shower, cabinets, and hardware, $5,000 worth of tools, and you helping me.” They would have laughed at me like I was the biggest con-man and schemer that they had seen in quite a while.
Dropping out of college, living in a van, wanting to live on my parent’s property for free in a tiny-house, my parents would not have put up with any of this, and the way they would have handled it is by not supporting me in any way, so that I would grow up and mature as I suffered from my own mistakes and foolishness. Because Isabel’s parents are millionaires, they can indulge their daughter if they want to.
You may wish to point out to me that Isabel is making a living wage from her YouTube video revenue now, which is probably true. However, her 300,000 YouTube subscribers are the kind of people that have never noticed that although Isabel is supposed be living sustainably as a farmer on a farm, she hasn’t planted and harvested any food this entire year.

Based on your content it’s pretty apparent that you are jealous of someone (especially a woman) being able to live a life so adventurous and carefree. As someone her age you worked your ass off to go to a difficult engineering school and then you and your god-complex proceeded through your career surrounded by so-called “idiots”. I will try to address your comments in order, though I am getting tired of responding to the same comments again and again, that I have already answered:
“I am jealous of women who are able to live a life of adventure and carefree”…I sure as hell don’t want a life of adventure and I never have. I wanted a stable, respectable career with advancement and increasing pay, a nice home, nice vehicle, motorcycle, boat, nice wife, kids. As I became older, I began to see that some of what I wanted was an illusion and not reality. Now, I am grateful that I never married and had children, because most people fail at this now, it’s mostly a devastatingly costly trap. No women are carefree, especially the ones you are referring to, they are actually struggling and looking for someone that they can trap to get them to pay for everything.
“I criticize Isabel for relying on her parents’ money, yet I wrote an article about how I inherited money”….Yes, I did. In many videos, and in her own biography, Isabel describes herself as returning to her parents’ farm where she tries to live sustainably. Yes, I felt the need to point out to naive viewers that this is not a farm as there is no livestock of any kind, no farm equipment, no farm fields, no farm crop, only a 1/2 acre empty garden plot except for some garlic onions. Splashing in the river in the morning, going on hikes in the afternoon, spending a couple of hours slicing, cooking, and eating vegetables at mealtime doesn’t constitute farm work and doesn’t earn money. This isn’t sustainable farming or sustainable living. This lifestyle is mostly funded by living on her parents’ second home property, living in their house, having her father go pick out, pick up, deliver, layout, and construct her tiny-house, and be there as needed for physical labor, assistance, and financial assistance. I at times have written about my own personal life, and one of the things that I wrote was that when my father died recently, he left me enough money to go buy a house, which was a great relief to me to get out of my low-rent high crime area apartment. I was being honest about something that happened in my life, as opposed to being dishonest about something in my life.
Your last comments were about my supposed bitterness for not getting to lead the life that I wanted to have, and that I am criticizing other people for doing things that I never dreamed of. Your assessment and observation is wrong, I am criticizing other people for claiming or pretending to be living a certain way, that is misleading and going to harm other people, especially young, naive, poor, inexperienced, low intelligence people, the ones who can least afford a financial disaster.
Poor young people, who do not have wealthy parents, who work in low paying jobs like fast-food, restaurants, retail, customer service, they see videos of Isabel where she talks about dropping out of college, traveling the World, working as a waitress living in a van in Hawaii, working as a waitress in Seattle, “saving her money”, going to live on a farm, building a tiny house, living sustainably, and frolicking in the woods every day, they comment that they want to do this too, that they want to learn how to do this too. These young people do not know that it would take about $20K to buy a couple of acres of land, sometimes $10K for a water well, sometimes $5K or more for an electric service, $3K for a septic system, $20K to build a primitive tiny-house, and all kinds of restrictions, legal issues, and harassment from building inspectors, code enforcement/zoning that they likely could not overcome without the appearance of having money to fight them.
The young people who watch these videos, they are getting the impression that they can just save a few thousand dollars, go buy some land, start building, and live off-grid like Isabel. They don’t realize that they would quickly run out of money out in the middle of nowhere, with no food, no water, no completed shelter, no electricity, no heat, a broken vehicle that they can’t fix, no money, and no one to help them. It hasn’t been pointed out to them that out in the middle of nowhere, there are very few jobs, maybe no employment at all.

But you have to remember this is an entertainment,… don’t for a minute think it’s real. You have to understand from the start that I am a fan. This does not include money or property that Mommy and Daddy has given her nor does it explain all of the magical money that has allowed her to travel the world. I watched on December 31st 2020 and listened to her give a short ramble on how she was broke. She has made the bulk of this money via her YouTube channel. DO YOUR HOME WORK. I typed in “Isabel Paige net worth”, and the first website that comes up, its headline says that her net worth is $1 million. If you open this website, it says that this estimate is based partly on her product endorsements/sponsorships, which I do not think she has any, I have never seen her advertise a product or service in her videos. Second, this net worth estimate is based on her YouTube revenue being “$1,000 per day”, which I do not think is correct, plus they did their math wrong and came up with $12K per year. This particular website that you referenced, I don’t think that it is accurate. There are a few websites that specialize in calculating YouTube revenue based on subscriber count and views, that perform more research on this subject, and would have a more accurate estimate of YouTube income. I believe that her YouTube income is now about $1,500-$3,000 per month.
However, if a person does look into Isabel’s circumstances, her parents’ wealth, the fact that she is living on her parents’ property, in a tiny-house that her father probably did most of the work on, she is in a more stable and protected financial situation than 85%-90% of her viewers, so it’s a little stupid for anyone to have set up a “Go-Fund-Me” account to fix or buy her a better vehicle, most people and most of her donors are in a worse financial situation than her. My personal opinion, is that Isabel’s father is more pissed off about Isabel crashing that nice older Toyota 4Runner of hers, than anyone knows. Older late 1980s to early 1990s Toyota 4Runners are one of the best, most reliable, most economical vehicles ever made, you just can’t go instantly find a good one, because they all have more than 200K miles on them now. Isabel killed a 1990s Toyota 4Runner, and that should haunt her for the rest of her life, and I think that her father is trying to teach her a lesson, that she was careless and there are consequences.
As far as you admiring and desiring Isabel, you should come up with a plan, and some alternate prospects. You should think about what qualities or things that you have that Isabel might want, get it into your mind that you have something to offer her, then send her an e-mail. Don’t be too complimentary in your e-mail, or she will think that you are grovelling and beneath her. Make an offer of something like, “Isabel, I like hiking and rock-climbing, I am an experienced rock-climber, and I am coming to eastern Washington state in June. I would be glad if you would like to meet up and go climbing.” Or, “Isabel, I have lived in the forest of Canada all my life, in the winter we use snow-mobiles to get around. I have an older snow-mobile that I have fixed up, I could loan it to you this winter if you want me to come down and go over it with you.” You are going to have to make a proposal. If she ignores you or rejects you, who knows what is going on in her mind, maybe she is a lesbian, maybe she is a snob, but don’t let her turn your genuine admiration for her into some attention-getting claim by her that someone is “stalking” her. Above everything else, YouTuber women love attention, they would rather have attention than a romantic relationship.

She uses 3+ licensed/copyrighted songs in each video she puts out. If you tried to monetize videos like that you’d get a copyright strike, and get your channel deleted after 3 attempts. I always knew this as a content creator myself, and she recently confirmed this.

These people that are responding to your blog are not her fans, but her friends and relatives defending her. The reason I know this is because one lady is always retired and bought a land and she finds Isabel very inspiring. Then she will attack you and their accusations are that you are a pervert or you are jealous. They seem to be really mean to you and they seem to take it personally. This is what I have noticed In Isabel’s YouTube comments section. Some of these responses might be from her own parents disguised as her fans. They will keep coming at you. She states in her videos that the property (farm) is her parents and they are going to move there permanently as well. Isabel built her tiny house next to the cabin that the parents will eventually move to. She calls it a farm because they will plant and sell garlic there. Seriously all this info is in her videos if you would just take the time and watch them all.

The farm area of Isabel’s parents’ property was shown in videos to be about 100 ft x 100 ft. In one video it showed that Isabel and her mother and father were planting about 100-200 garlic onions. You probably do not know this, or understand this, but Isabel’s parents’ home in Seattle is valued at $2 million, and this mountainside land was purchased for $500,000 plus maybe another $150,000 construction cost for the house that was built on this land.
If you sell 200 garlic onions for $5 each, that’s $1,000. So you believe that Isabel, her mother and father are going to live on this $1,000 that they get from selling these garlic onions?

From my perspective I don’t care if she’s faking some things or not. I like her videos mainly because of the landscapes, nice cinematics, beautiful sounds and music. It takes me to another place. She is grown, she can decide for herself and if she wants to take a risk (which she obviously does) – it is her choice and no one elses. Maybe she will learn something from this journey and her not entirely responsible choices.
Besides that I find her videos very calm and refreshing.

The thing I find the most wrong here isn’t Isabel’s way of life…
1. She isn’t trying to teach other people how to live the way she does, she isn’t giving a playbook. She’s spoken about how she is creating art that shows her view of the world she lives in.
2. Living on her parent’s land isn’t a crime, it’s an opportunity that many people choose to take to save money.
3. The thing I find most wrong is your tone and words on her appearance, her body, and the choices you are assuming she is making. In your comments back to people you have talked in a way that assumes she is enticing or wanting people to come find her, that she is sexualizing herself because it feels rebellious. Last I checked, people can do what they want on their own land if they feel comfortable, and if someone were to go there on purpose and hurt her, THEY would be in the wrong and they should be charged with premeditated assault, trespassing on private property, and more.
Good luck trying to convince others of your point I guess, but I personally can’t put any faith in what you are trying to push here.

If a woman routinely goes hiking far into the woods in remote areas by herself, unarmed, wearing revealing non-protective clothing, taking all of her clothes off and frolicking naked in creeks and ponds, and advertises this again and again on YouTube, there could be disastrous consequences for her which would include: getting attacked and bit by a rabid animal such as a skunk, fox, or coyote; getting attacked and mauled by a mountain lion, bear, wild dog, or wolf; getting assaulted, kidnapped, raped, or murdered by a human or a Bigfoot.
The most knowledgeable and experienced fully-grown male hunters, trappers, law enforcement, and ex-military would not even get out of their vehicle in a remote wooded location without some kind of defensive weapon to use against animals and people, but you women are too stupid to know, understand, comprehend, what you are doing, the consequences of your actions, or ever be personally accountable for your own foolishness and mistakes.

Many years ago, when YouTube was but a young propaganda tool of our wealthy overlords, I was a moderately well-known blogger. I was a speaker at several big blogging conventions, and I even built an influencer “community” of my very own before walking away in disgust. And what I learned firsthand then seems true today: It’s all bullshit. Smoke and mirrors.
The most famous bloggers I met during my turn at internet fame were all wealthy with lots of resources and time on their hands. Many had paid staff and unpaid interns to boot. These were well-connected people from wealthy families with either degrees in communication and media, or married to people who had them. These people were selling an “aspirational” lifestyle that was flat-out unachievable, and I realized I am not built to participate in what I consider fraud. Nobody,(least of all Ree Drummond) is married to a hunky man who spends all his time supporting your dreams while you’re managing a large working ranch, including cooking every day to feed the farm workers, single-handedly homeschooling a passel of kids, AND running a multi-media empire all by yourself! NOBODY.)
The worst of the worst I encountered was an extremely wealthy woman who ran a menopause blog. Her schtick was presenting herself as just “one of the girls exploring the change of life”, while all the time her kitchy little “personal” blog was actually a front for a large foreign pharmaceutical company!!!
Maybe the problem is America. We’d rather have the appearance of success than see the hard work actual success requires. Maybe the problem is the expectations society places on women. We’re forced by society to pretend that our success is easy and effortless or we’re accused of being too ambitious and driven. Whatever the issue, it seems it’s infectious and not limited to any one medium.
As a woman who does in fact live in the forest on the very edge of a wilderness that includes bears and mountain lions, I agree with you that filming yourself for a wide audience cavorting around nearly naked and advertising that you’re alone and vulnerable out in the wilderness (why don’t these women even just have a dog?!) is beyond foolish. Even the guy who had to saw his own arm off when he got stuck in the middle of nowhere now carries a GPS device and tells people where he is going! But then I guess maybe they aren’t actually alone at all, which is why they feel safe doing it.
I do feel badly for people who naively tune into these charlatans and believe the story and then feel badly about themselves because they themselves are unable to create the dream life they are being told is so easy. I feel even worse for the suckers who are donating money to these wealthy, privileged girls not realizing they are being snookered.
While I’ll probably continue to enjoy their acts for the fun of it, I think it is for the best that they are exposed. I’m glad others have done the detective work for me so I don’t have to and it all looked entirely fishy to me as I’m in my 50s and currently building a house in the forest after a lifetime of hard work and saving up.
The very idea that all you need do is tra-la-la out to the woods in your skimpy CottageCore frock and flip-flops and there you’ll discover acres of safe, cheap, pristine wilderness with bountiful clean running water just sitting there with all the lumber and tools you’ll need to build your all-but-free house is actually funny if you step back and think about it. Of course that cannot be true or everybody would be doing it!

Yesterday I watched an Isabel Paige YouTube video that she uploaded on Sunday 2/21/21, where she mentioned several times that she had not been able to make or receive a phone call for the past four days due to no cell-phone-tower signal. Meanwhile, she was stumbling down to the icy rocky river to bathe in it, and stumbling through the snow and across the ice carrying a large glass water-jug with about 25-30 lbs of water in it. The worst trip-and-fall or slip-and-fall you will ever have is when you are carrying something fragile with both hands that you are trying not to drop, especially on snow and ice.
I recently learned when I was simultaneously carrying my briefcase, a paper bag of bolts and a micrometer, and a plastic bag of groceries, that when you have both your hands full like this with things you don’t want to drop, you will have the worst slip-and-fall on ice of your life, because you don’t have a chance to break your fall. I have never broken any bone, but I thought that I broke my leg or my ankle when I fell this time, the pain was immense and unbelievable as I lay sprawled out on the snow and ice. I had a very hard time getting back up, and limping another ten feet to get inside a heated building, and it turned out nothing was broken. If I had actually broken my leg or my ankle, it might have taken me twenty minutes to drag myself fifty feet, thirty-five minutes to drag myself one hundred feet, but at least I was wearing winter fleece-lined pants, a sweatshirt, with a very heavy winter jacket over it, with gloves in my jacket pockets.
What is Isabel going to do if she breaks her ankle or her leg and is more than a couple hundred feet from her house, with no cell-phone to call for help? Isabel dresses in light clothes that enable her to be outside in the cold for five minutes before she has to get inside, just leggings and a light sweater or lightweight jacket. If Isabel unexpectedly twists her ankle very bad like I just did when she is halfway between where she parks her 4-Runner and her house, she has about 1/4 mile to walk in the snow in either direction back to her vehicle or to her house, limping through the snow, this could take an hour or more.

I like many people am skeptical of Isabelle Paige. All comments written I agree and believe it to be a ploy to have her become famous. My contention is her honesty is run thick with deceit! Clear and simple she’s a scammer. Let me address many facts. She starts off hating money, angry about not getting her home fast enough, lies a about her Washington land and not informing the public about her acquiring such items, fluffs the fact she’s poor and hates mattresses and how bad they are for you.
Fast forward – she owns and sleeps on a mattress, she suckers people on Patron site to support her and her lifestyle and car – and lives fully on her own! She’s living off that parent land that’s not a farm of HERS . She didn’t pay for the road or the well or the snow plowing, or land taxes, nothing! She’s such a fraud and if you think that’s living off the land it’s not! It’s living off of daddy! She’s no more than a squatter relying on all you as you believe that is how to homestead! Have you ever googled how mich she’s worth? Over one million thanks to y’all who just want to think its all true. And people still pay her website to support her! If she hated and no use for money why does she want yours? It seems with that money she should donate it or start a charity or school or donate to the places she visits in exchange! Nope we all believed the poor little spoiled rich girl! Her honesty and so called living a wholesome true life is just another modern day Disney movie.

In a previous video Isabel showed that she ran several sections of garden hose from her tiny-house to an outdoor faucet a couple hundred feet away in order to fill the plastic water tank under her kitchen counter. This winter, when she used the garden hoses, she had to make sure all the water was out of them when she got done filling her plastic water tank, or the hoses would freeze and become plugged up. She could have used the water in her plastic water tank under her kitchen counter to fill the large glass water jug, or connected several sections of water hose and then drained them again, or carry her large glass water jug over to the faucet, which she did and it was dangerous.

I am not envious or jealous of Isabel at all. I currently own two houses, seventeen vehicles, five motorcycles, plus a bunch of other stuff, and I can do just about anything that I want, travel, move somewhere else, go to law school, get a mail-order-bride. I am not envious or jealous of a young 23 year old girl who dropped out of college, became a waitress, moved onto her parents’ property, lives in a shed with no flushable toilet or hot water shower, urinates outside, and bathes in an icy river beside the highway.
I am lucky that I own anything at all with the ups and downs I have gone through, and the mistakes that I have made. My blog website is not monetized, it has no advertisements, I am not trying to tell people what they want to hear or would like to hear in order to gain followers. I am trying to wake people up to what is actually going on around them, and point out deceit, treachery, false information, and scams that can harm them.
For the umpteenth time, I do not want young people to get the impression that they can drop out of college, work as a waitress for one year while living in a van, and save enough money to buy a piece of land, build your own tiny-house, and play around in the woods all day every day without a job.
If you are young and have the chance to go to college, I highly recommend going to college immediately after high school and going for at least two years to get your Associates degree which shows that you have college-level reading, writing, comprehension, science, and math skills. It is important to try to maintain a high grade-point-average so that you can return to college in the future to pursue a Bachelor or Masters degree if you ever want to or need to.
For those not interested in going to college right after high school, I recommend trade schools, apprenticeships, or some branch of the military. What I don’t recommend, is intentionally settling for a low-paying, low-skilled job that is not challenging or difficult, that pays so low that you have to continue to live with your parents into your late twenties, because you are just continuing to be a kid and not maturing into an adult.
I have not specifically pointed this out, but college, trade schools, apprenticeships, and the military require a person to take responsibility for behaving, learning, and performing to what is expected and required of people in the real world, in professions, work, trades, commerce. If you stand back and look at many YouTubers, are they just hanging-out, getting high, goofing off, not working at a job, because they don’t want to take responsibility for anything and grow up, and their parents are willing to continue to support them just like kids?
The sooner young people realize what reality is, and what they are going to have to do to survive on their own, the better off they will be. Putting the idea in young people’s heads that they can live in a van, travel, buy land, and build a tiny-house without having a job, is hurting them.

If you notice people who defend her here and on YouTube have a pattern they are either a lady who has retired and bought a land and finds Isabel very inspiring, on YouTube she goes by the name of Lila, here she goes by the name Lori. Or young women, their don’t argue or discuss anything instread they get extremely defensive call you names and/or swear at you. They blame you for being jealous or creepy if you are man. I just recently came across one of Isabel’s videos, and found it to be interesting. So I decided to go back and watch her story from the beginning, and to be honest I don’t find her to be intentionally misleading.
She’s just a young girl who by the looks of things grew up in a very privileged household. Instead of going out and being a spoiled rich kid she’s sharing videos of herself trying to live a sustainable and minimalist lifestyle.
I get that people are upset by the fact that she makes it look easy to do when in reality for most people it isn’t. However I don’t see that as her trying to fool her viewers because for her it was easy, and she’s documenting her journey.

Recently Isabel does appear to be telling more about the truth and actual reality of what she is doing. I think that the Jasmine Cherry YouTube video probably had an impact on Isabel Paige, whether my blog post article did or not. Back when I wrote my blog post article, Isabel was talking about returning to her parents “farm”, when in reality it was their recently purchased vacation/2nd home property, and she was referring to this property as an “abandoned farm”, when in reality her parents had to pay $500K for it, it was prime real estate, nothing abandoned about it.

As much as I agree that it is dangerous to show the world your vulnerabilities the way Isabel does, it just worries me that you don’t seem to make a clear distinction between normal men and “hungry tigers”. Yes, men usually have a strong sexual interest, it’s biological, but any time he uses his physical might or any kind of force to satisfy it without consent, he is a perverted criminal. I have noticed that in the recent videos of hers, isabel has been using a 4k camera. In the collaboration videos with Hannah Lee Duggan, there was some shots of Isabel’s camera gear. Her camera alone costs $2000 and she also has expensive gear like microphones, camera lenses etc. She also included some drone photage in a recent video and those are not cheap either. She does not monetize her videos, but can still afford these gears and still complain about driving an unsafe car. I wonder if she is using the car as an excuse to get more money from her hard-core fans. I saw in the comment section that people want to donate lots of money so she can buy a better car.
All her videos are so repetitive as well. It can be summarized into her making coffee and trying to sell the coffee cups her brother is making but she is selling under her name, walking outside in too little clothing, cooking variations of the same food and running around in the forest/mountain next to her tiny house.
As a woman I also think it is really disturbing how little clothing she is wearing in some of the videos and how she exposes herself in this way.
I’m wondering if she had an ED in the past as in some of her older IG photos she looks extremely malnourished. She appears to have gained some more healthy weight over the winter, especially when compared next to Hannah Lee Duggan on the beach.

More than a year ago Isabel had a manual transmission 1990s Toyota 4-Runner 4×4. This vehicle was one of the all-time best, most durable, most reliable vehicles, especially if it had the 4 cylinder engine, requiring the least amount of maintenance, inexpensive parts, easy to work on. When she was driving this particular Toyota 4-Runner and making videos while driving, she would often drift over into the left lane. These Toyota 4-Runners are very reliable and very forgiving, which I believe led Isabel to not pay close enough attention or be careful enough driving. This particular Toyota 4-Runner Isabel wrecked it, and turned it over, when she was driving too fast on a downhill gravel road. She made a video about it.
She bought another manual transmission 1990s Toyota 4-Runner 4×4, and this one was not in as good a condition as the one that she wrecked. 1990s Toyota 4-Runners with the manual transmission are more reliable, more dependable, more durable, easier to work on, less expensive to work on than any new vehicle. If Isabel’s father has already explained this to her, he is probably angry that she wrecked her previous 4-Runner, and he has no interest in upgrading her to a newer vehicle, because the older Toyota 4-Runners are one of the best vehicles you can get. However Isabel and her young know-nothing viewers think that she should get a newer/better vehicle. Even if her parents bought her a new $90,000 Toyota Landcruiser, Isabel wouldn’t appreciate it or know the difference between a new Landcruiser and a new Ford Explorer.

I went a little easier route. The tiny house/cabin was already built. No electricity but does have water with a stream not to far away. This cabin was well under 50k. Water is cheap and flat rate. So it can be done. Can’t we just appreciate how beautiful she is and how many talents she has? She is a very hard worker! I wish I had the love for life that she has! I do love the outdoors and she is helping me to appreciate the cabin life even more! Just look at all the things she tackles! To produce enough vegetables for one person, they are going to have to plant about 140ft x 140ft with a variety of vegetables, remember this is for one person. If Mom, Dad, and Isabel are going to live off of these vegetables, that increases the planted area to about 420ft x 140ft. If they are going to sell vegetables, this area is even bigger. Let’s watch. If April comes and goes, and this doesn’t happen by mid May, you all are full of shit.

I am not “obsessed” with Isabel. I wrote a “before I knew” and an “after I knew” blog post article about Isabel approximately one year ago, those are the only two articles. I do not like Isabel, or her family. I don’t want to have anything to do with Isabel or her family. I think that they are “Seattle People”.
I personally did not ever write that Isabel was a fraud, though other people have written this. I think and I wrote that I believe that Isabel was misleading people at first, with statements like “her family’s farm” and “abandoned farm” and “living off-grid” and “sustainable-living”. There was nothing “abandoned” about this property, her parents had to pay $500K to the man who owned it in 2015. There were no farm animals of any kind, and there was no crop of any kind, there was a small 1/2-acre garden that I don’t know if it was ever planted. The home that Isabel was living in, was the 2nd home of her mother and father, which appeared to have electric, gas, water, and sewer, with an access road going to it.

I’ve known women who married much older men, and then divorced them shortly after because they just couldn’t get attracted to him. Most young women enjoy and are attracted to handsome, strapping, strong, young men their own age, and the thought of being sexual with much older men completely gross them out. I’ve heard that story numerous, numerous times. There’s always exceptions to the rule, as I don’t like to generalize like you do. There are indeed attractive, older, men, that have their emotional shi* together, and they love healthy, attractive woman their own age. But just because you have wishful thinking to stroke your own ego, doesn’t make your delusional bullshi* true. You’re living in a delusion that feeds your ego. I am not going to address everything that you mentioned in your comment, but I will respond to a few of the things that you brought up.
With my lifetime of personal experiences, what I have read, what I have heard, what I have seen, what I have discussed with others, it is important to know and be aware that women have recently evolved into something new, something never seen before in history.
As children, females experience being provided for by their parents with food, clothing, shelter, medical care, education, entertainment, and some luxuries depending on their economic circumstances. While growing up, these females begin to have the expectation that someone will marry them, buy them an engagement & wedding ring, pay for their wedding, pay for their honeymoon, pay for their house, pay for their car, pay for their health care, pay for their children, pay for everything for them. They also have the belief that men are supposed to put women on a pedestal, spare them from being hit, spare them from having to be drafted into the military, spare them from the most dangerous and difficult work. Don’t even try to deny any of this, it’s impossible to cover this up, everyone know these things are true.
At the same time that women expect to be provided with everything by a man, to be spared from being hit, to be spared from being drafted into the military, to be spared from the most dangerous and difficult work, women want to compete with men for equal employment, equal pay, equal opportunity, yet be spared if something really difficult comes up. AND, women want equal employment, equal pay, equal opportunity, to be spared from dangerous and difficult work, and spring sexual harassment accusations left and right after being granted these things. AND, women expect for a man to provide them with everything and pay for everything, their home, their vehicle, their medical care, their children, even after they initiate a divorce.
I don’t think that I have fully covered everything about how women want and expect everything from men, with not only not providing anything in return, beyond that women are outright combative and destructive to men yet still believe that they are entitled to be provided for and protected by men.
I could also probably add that women like yourself and a previous commentor named Ava believe that women should be able to walk around everywhere nude, and nobody better be thinking about sex, unless the naked women give the O.K. for them to be thinking about sex. If this is true, would it be O.K. with you women if the male mailman, garbage man, truck driver, homeless person, jogger, barber were completely naked around you? Would it be O.K. with you if all men went around naked? Why wouldn’t this be O.K. ?

The blog post website hosting service that I use is WordPress. WordPress is very tolerant about free speech, ideas, beliefs, philosophies, etc. The only things that WordPress does not allow are things that are illegal, such as illegal pornography, illegal threats, illegal behavior. This is fine with me, there should be some forms or venues of expression that are not censored such as books, movies, magazines, and journals that allow people to get their ideas out, even if these ideas are offensive to some people.
I review every comment before I let it go through, I can delete comments or edit comments if I want to.

If you read my blog post article “More About Isabel Paige And My Disappointment” recently, you would see that on 4/5/21 I updated this article to address the “Egg Man” incident where a couple of strangers drove down the one-lane, dead-end dirt road to Isabel’s house saying that they were looking for someone selling eggs, that they were lost, “Hey, you’re Isabel Paige aren’t you?”
In Isabel’s YouTube video “Finishing My Tiny-House” where Isabel mentioned this incident, thinking that it was funny, saying what a coincidence it was that they were followers of her channel, about 25%-30% of the comments to this particular video were saying, “Isabel, that was no coincidence. Who goes driving that far into the mountains looking for eggs? And they knew you? Please be careful. Please get a dog or a firearm.”
After this particular video received about 1,500 comments in the first several days after it was uploaded to YouTube, many of the commentors began to express frustration in their comments that Isabel had not responded to a single comment warning her to be careful or take some kind of precaution. These commentors were upset that Isabel was giving no indication that she recognized that there was anything to be concerned about, or that she needed to do anything, or take anyone’s advice such as calling the Police to let them know what had happened, talking to her neighbors about what happened, putting up curtains in her tiny-house so that no one could look in her windows at night, etc.
If this is true that Isabel went back and edited this particular video to take out the part about “some strangers driving down her driveway looking for someone selling eggs and they recognized her from YouTube”, this in my opinion is not good. This video could have served as a permanent warning to strangers and over-enthusiastic viewers that it is not wanted for people to drive to her tiny-house uninvited, how this actually looks and feels threatening to someone who lives by themselves and has no idea what the uninvited stranger’s intentions are, so DO NOT do this. I hope that Isabel does not delete all the comments that were warning her and giving her advice because there were many very good suggestions that Isabel should actually implement.

Yes I read your blog update. She’s been deleting comments like crazy today about egg man too. I’m very confused as I don’t understand firstly why she would add the egg man convo in the first place and I don’t understand why she would ignore her viewers concerns for her safety and I don’t understand why she would then go to the trouble of editing that scene out and delete all comments pertaining to egg man. I am getting the impression that Isabel is so focused and determined to present a glossy, sparkly, fairy-tale image of living in nature, that she will not allow real-life issues to enter into her “narrative”, how she wants to tell her story.
My blog post article “More About Isabel Paige And My Disappoint” was originally a little complaining about Isabel not being up-front about her parents purchasing this very expensive forest property in 2015, that this was her parents’ second home/vacation home, that her parents lived in a $2 million home in Seattle, that this forest home was a vacation home that Isabel was being allowed to stay at. When Isabel first moved onto this forest property, it was not a farm because there was no livestock of any kind, no farm fields, no crop, only an approximately 150ft x 150ft garden. At first, when I had only watched several of Isabel’s YouTube videos, I believed that Isabel’s parents were farmers, because Isabel was talking about moving back to her family’s farm.
I found out more about Isabel by looking her up elsewhere, and some commentors found out more about Isabel by looking her up elsewhere. People like YouTuber Jasmine Cherry explained in a video about Isabel that she was giving the wrong impression sometimes, such as showing her tiny-house in the forest, but not explaining or showing that her parents’ normal-sized house was only a couple hundred feet away that she had access to. YouTuber Anna’s Analysis recently made a video where she discussed some of the things that she believed Isabel was not being clear or up-front about, giving viewers the wrong idea about her circumstances.
Myself, some commentors, Jasmine Cherry, Anna’s Analysis were pointing out that it was very easy for viewers of Isabel’s YouTube videos to get the idea that Isabel had worked as a waitress, saved money, bought some land beside a mountain and a river, quit her job, built herself a tiny-house, and was able to hike around the forests all day because she was living a “sustainable life”. No, that would be only half of the story, a big part of the story which we believed that Isabel was leaving out, was that her parents had bought this property, built an access road, built a well, got an electrical service line to the property and hooked up, built a normal sized house, and helped Isabel build her tiny house a couple of hundred feet away.
But this mention in her recent YouTube video of the people driving down the one-lane, dead-end dirt road to Isabel’s house saying that they were looking for someone selling eggs, yet they knew who she was, her laughing this off as coincidence, not acknowledging her commentors telling her to be careful and take precautions, then her editing this out of her video and deleting these comments, shows that Isabel does not want to acknowledge other realities of living the way that she does.
For instance, besides not acknowledging any of the comments warning Isabel that this was not a coincidence and to be careful, Isabel will not answer any of the comments asking her where her bathroom is. Several videos back, I believe that Isabel mentioned having to go pee outside, but I don’t know if she edited this out at later. One explanation for not answering the questions about where her bathroom is, is that she may be walking to her parents’ normal sized house to use the bathroom there, not just the toilet, but the shower too. There have been some commentors that have asked Isabel if she ever takes a hot shower, and she did not respond to these comments.
In order to be what I would call “honest”, I think that Isabel should show all or nearly all of the circumstances of what she is doing, so that people do not get the wrong idea and have the complete picture. The reason why I say this, is because you can tell from the comments that people leave to Isabel’s YouTube videos, that many people are going to try to do the same thing that she is doing, because it looks so wonderful. Despite what defenders of Isabel say, that everyone can figure out you can’t work as a waitress, save money, buy land, build a tiny-house, and quit your job, they are wrong, there are many viewers that comment on doing the same thing as Isabel.
So in addition to not showing all the circumstances of what she is doing, Isabel wants what she does show to be as carefree, trouble free, easy, blissful, magical, joyous, happy, fair-tale like as possible. Again, Isabel’s defenders will say that this is obviously not reality, it’s entertainment, most television, movies, and YouTube is not reality, it is make-believe.
The point of YouTube channels like Anna’s Analysis is to try to explain and show people that much of social media is fake, not real, but is often an attempt to get attention, become popular, gain views, gain subscribers, and make money. It can be harmful or hurtful to viewers who can’t understand why other people’s lives are so happy, beautiful, exciting, adventurous, successful, and their lives are never like this.

From the other side of the influencer world there are a lot of secrets. The behind the scenes would be appalling to most viewers.
The truth is that channels like Hannah, Isabel, and all of this “van life” “living alone in the cottage” stuff are all productions. By production I mean camera crew and wardrobe and calling cut, you name it. Youtube is the new frontier for the entertainment industry and these channels have been out-sourced away from the hands of the so-called “content creators.” They have actual PR and an institution backing these schemes. Calling them creators is like Beyonce pretending to have written a song. These are actresses.
This is all entertainment. You think that they actually sit in their vans or tiny houses and edit those beautiful pieces all day? The editors are a handful of people other than them. It’s all about creating an illusion without being labeled a fraud. They sell an image. They tap into inner latent desires of most people and make the dream come to life.
How is this different than going to a movie? Oh, but with this it’s even better because you think they’re real people. You can “follow” them and watch their character development and believe that the same can be true for you. It’s not the Kardashians because this person could be YOU.
I find the quality of their productions to be incredible and I can see how well they’ve pulled off this whole, “It’s me and myself and a camera” skit just by the number of people who actually believe it’s all real.
In Isabel’s case, she wouldn’t be wearing short sleeves and never properly dressed for winter or snow unless she was running outside for a take and then quickly getting back in the camper or whatever warmth is there. True cold will change the appearance of someone. I find it odd that she never looks shaky and her voice never changes in the cold. That’s not physiologically possible. They also never really look dirty. There’s a grime on the skin that you just don’t see very much in these films that would be evident on people after a couple days without bathing.
The devil is in the details, my friends.
And….She has a WHOLE CREW!!
This is why she or her family aren’t concerned about safety. They’ve already tackled that issue.

Your comment is very clear and thorough. Going back through Isabel and Hannah’s history, a little over a year ago they were both making van-life videos, which are some of the most popular YouTube videos, but I hate them for several reasons.
One of the only times that it makes sense to live in a vehicle is to escape being homeless. It is not a very good idea to give up a residence and most of your possessions to become solely nomadic. What if you experience a severe illness or injury, is it other people’s responsibility to take you into their home? What if your vehicle is involved in a severe accident, or is stolen, is it other people’s responsibility to provide you with shelter? Is that the idea, that other people pay rent, mortgage, property tax, home insurance, utilities, and upkeep while you spare yourself these expenses, until you experience an emergency and have to beg these suckers who pay for a home to let you stay there?
Van-life in a way is not growing up and taking responsibility for yourself, expecting other people to serve as your backup plan or safety net.
Van-life works best for people who have someone with resources who can always help them. For other people it’s one step away from living homeless on the street, and it ought not to be glamorized.
As far as being scripted and directed, I think that they plan and direct this themselves, with the help of family members and friends. Do they get help editing, maybe. Do the van-lifers stay in a hotel every night, go out to eat, get cleaned up and do their editing in hotels, have extra unseen support vehicles, probably.
