Where I Think I Got Scabies In Dickinson North Dakota

NOTE: Scabies is a highly infectious, highly contagious, very hard to get rid of infection. I am trying to help people with this Post, and my previous Post. If you think that you may have Scabies, please read as much as you can on the internet on how to identify and how to treat Scabies. My previous Post may give you some answers on how to treat Scabies if you are unable to see a Doctor.

In my previous Post, I explained that I got Scabies in Dickinson and what I did to treat it. Prior to going to purchase Ivermectin, I spent at least one hour reading all about Scabies on the internet, how to identify if you have Scabies, how you become infected with Scabies, and how Scabies is treated. After I applied Topical Ivermectin on Saturday, I continued reading about Scabies on Saturday and Sunday for several more hours to gain a very thorough understanding.

The type of Scabies that infects humans, is only transmitted from human to human. This means that a person doesn’t get a Scabies infection from their dog, cat, horse, parrot, etcetera.

Scabies is transmitted from human to human through sex, sharing the same bed, and close physical contact. Hugging is an example of close physical contact that can transmit Scabies. Unfortunately, Scabies mites can live on a surface such as towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, clothing, and furniture for up to three days.

I live alone. For the last week of April 2025, I did not visit anyone in their home, I did not have close physical contact with anyone, I did not eat at a restaurant, I did not use public transportation, I did not go to any public event, I did not stay in a hotel, I did not try on anyone else’s clothes, I did not shop for or buy any clothes. However, on April 28, I did go to get my hair cut.

When I sat down to get my hair cut, they put an apron/cape over me, and tied the collar tight around my neck. Since my Scabies infection first appeared just below my neck, and this haircut apron/cape was the only foreign item that I had close physical contact with, this is how I believe I contracted Scabies. This apron/cape was touching my skin for about twenty-five minutes.

When I realized that I had Scabies on Saturday 5/3/25, I called the owner of this haircut place to let them know, and state that I think I contracted Scabies from a haircut customer before me. The owner has spoken to me on Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday, but has not received any complaint from any other customer.

Before I receive any stupid comment that maybe I’m the source of the Scabies, I will once again explain that Scabies is only transmitted from human to human. It’s not like I’m sitting at home and just come down with Scabies. I had to have contracted Scabies from another person shortly before I began to have my Scabies rash outbreak. The closest thing to physical human contact or contact with an infected surface was the haircut apron/cape tied around my neck.

I called the Stark County Health Department on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to try to give them information, and ask for some information. I am very, very disappointed in the Stark County Health Department, because each time that I called I was transferred to the Nursing Director, and she was absent.

The reasons why I was calling the Stark County Health Department was to inform them that there is a person in Dickinson who is spreading Scabies, where and how I believe I became infected with Scabies, and for the Health Department to be able to alert places that cut hair, dentists, doctors, nurses, clinics, schools, daycare facilities, nursing homes to be on the lookout for Scabies.

Scabies is infections and contagious for as long as it remains untreated. Whoever I got Scabies from, they will continue to spread Scabies for as long as they remain untreated. It’s important to get on this right away, ………but not to the people at the Stark County Health Department.

On Wednesday when the Stark County Health Department Nursing Director was absent still, I called the largest Medical Care provider in Dickinson, Sanford Health, to tell them directly.

I called the Sandford Health Main Center in Dickinson and said, “Hello. I tried calling the Stark County Health Department Nurse Director on Monday, Tuesday, and today to try to report a very contagious infection but they were absent, so I am trying to reach the largest medical provider in Dickinson to try to report it to your Nursing Director, so at least they can be aware, can I speak to your Nursing Director?” I tried explaining this one more time, but the person who answered the phone at Sanford Health failed to understand, so I gave up.

I was so fucking angry with the person who answered the phone at Sanford Health after having failed to reach anyone at the Stark County Health Department for the past three days. I was very, very lucky to get my Scabies to quit spreading by immediately obtaining Topical Ivermectin illegally. Many people, especially women with multiple children will have a huge medical disaster if one of their children contracts Scabies because everyone in their family will likely get it.

Just like I unknowingly got Scabies from sitting in a barber chair, I don’t want itchy-scratchy rash patients in Sanford Health Clinic waiting areas to unwittingly pass on Scabies mites to pregnant mothers who are there for a check-up. It’s something that medical clinics should be made aware of. I tried and tried to get the information out that someone in Dickinson is spreading Scabies, and that clinics, medical offices, dentist offices, chiropractors, hair salons, barber shops, schools, daycare, nursing homes need to be on the look out for people with this skin infection in order to keep it from being spread.

I Got Scabies In Dickinson North Dakota

NOTE: Scabies is a highly infectious, highly contagious, hard to get rid of infection. This is a very serious medical condition. In order to provide people the most help, I am going to begin by telling what happened and what I did to treat it as quickly as possible. Later, I will explain a few details.

On about Thursday 5/1/25 I noticed what appeared to be an insect bite or spider bite below my neck. The following day this bite mark was worse, it had formed two small pustules. On Saturday 5/3/25 this bite mark was even worse, and two other similar bite marks had spread up to my shoulder. A rash began to appear on my left shoulder, chest, and neck.

Because of the rash, bumps, and pustules that were forming and spreading, I believed that this was Scabies. I spent about an hour on the internet reading about Scabies. One of the biggest identifiers, was that many of these bumps were forming in straight lines, a tell-tale sign of Scabies. I am not going to waste time now explaining the additional research that I did.

Scabies is a variety of microscopic mite, that burrow underneath a person’s skin and lay eggs. Currently the two main treatments for Scabies are Ivermectin, and Permethrin, both of these require a Doctor’s prescription. It has always been my experience in Dickinson that if you try to make an appointment with a Doctor, you will be told the next available appointment is 4-6 weeks away. I couldn’t wait that long, this Scabies infection was spreading very quickly on me, and forming unsightly red bumps and pustules on my skin.

I went to a store in Dickinson that sells Ivermectin. I want to be very clear, do your research on what you are going to buy BEFORE you go to one of these stores. Know what it is that you want before you go. Do Not Ever Tell Or Even Hint To Anyone At These Stores That This Is For Human Use, Then They Can’t Sell It To You.

For $29, I bought a bottle of Ivermectin for Topical Treatment on Cattle. I deliberately bought the Topical Treatment versus the Oral Paste, because I wanted to apply the Ivermectin directly onto the infected areas of my skin. On these bottles of Topical Treatment on Cattle, the dosage is typically 5 mL per 100 lbs of body weight.

On Saturday May 3 I applied 7 mL of Ivermectin to the infected areas on my neck, shoulders, and chest using Q-tip swabs, and to other uninfected areas using a medical glove. On Sunday I applied 10 mL of Ivermectin using Q-tip swabs and a medical glove. I slightly overdosed myself with this 17 mL Total of Ivermectin.

This Topical Ivermectin that I applied directly to the infected areas of my skin, was also supposed to be absorbed into my bloodstream and kill the Scabies through Ivermectin being in my blood. The Ivermectin that Doctors prescribe, is usually an oral medication.

On surfaces, Bleach and Lysol are supposed to disinfect and kill Scabies, but everything I read stated that you can’t use Bleach or Lysol on people. Bullshit. One of the problems with treating people for Scabies is that even if they receive an effective dose of Ivermectin or Permethrin, there are still Scabies mites on their sheets, blankets, pillow cases, furniture, towels, and their own skin. Beginning Sunday 5/4/25, I sat in a bathtub with Ajax Cleaner With Bleach and applied it to my skin and let it stay on for at least five minutes. I wanted to kill ALL the Scabies mites on my skin.

When I got out of the bathtub after using Ajax Cleaner With Bleach to get all the Scabies mites off my skin, I used a bath towel ONE TIME, and then washed it in a washing machine with hot water. I removed all my pillow cases, sheets, mattress pad, blanket, pillows, and washed them all in hot water. Twice a day Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday I took a bath using Ajax Cleaner With Bleach.

I was very, very lucky, most of my Scabies welts and infection sites began to dry up on Tuesday 5/6/25, and there was no spread of rash or new sites. I will have to apply another 17 mL of Ivermectin Topical next Saturday in order to prevent reinfection from the hatching of Scabies eggs that were already laid under my skin.

Normally it takes at least one week for there to be any indication that Ivermectin or Permethrin treatment is working. I think that my use of Ajax Cleaner With Bleach all over my body helped quite a bit not only to kill Scabies mites on the surface of my skin, but I think that it probably adversely affected the mites that had borrowed under my skin.

I feel that women with multiple children would have had a horrible time keeping everyone in the family from becoming infected. Scabies is highly contagious, and very hard to get rid of. I telephoned the Stark County Health Department on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to report this and explain where I think that I contracted Scabies, but the Nursing Director was absent every time I was transferred to her.

My next Blog Post will explain more.
